***BOTTING AS ZANKUL***
Relishing the invisibility, Zankul charges red mosquito, powerfully attacking with his resolute blade with steadfast abandon:

If it hits...

Could the GM please move Zankul 15' diagonally to the square to the right of red mosquito?

Shucks will move 10ft.
Ulysses will move, and then spend one point of necromantic focus as a standard action to summon a Ghostly Horde. It's a 20ft diameter circle (and a 60ft range), and he'll center it to catch two targets.
Ghostly Horde Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 4, 3) = 19
The targets will get a DC 20 Fortitude save for half damage. It bypasses all damage reduction as long as the targets are living creatures.

Lazlo moves over to Shucks and Ulysses — Care for a ride? — and dimension doors them over near the unblinded giant. Can move Shucks and Lazlo, but not Ulysses.

After a few dark intonations, Ulysses conjures a strange, ghostly mob of people appear around one of the giants and the remaining mosquito. You're able to make out the attire of monks from the Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment. But they don't behave like monks, as each apparition works savages the Pathfinder's foes.
Lazlo places a hand on the day old corpse of the roper and with a few words whisks the two of them to the other side of the battlefield.

With the lone remaining giant prone and blinded my magic, the Pathfinders make short work of your foe. With the threat to the area, you collectively head off to fortify another area of the tapestry.
This takes ~20 minutes. Note this for any buffs
Following the tapestry portals, you emerge back near the Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment. The inhabitants of the temple have wisely boarded up the doors against the assault. You make your stand within the garden of the temple.
Aram Zey's voice carries through the tapestry. "I wish I could say I'm surprised that pirates would strike at a time like this. But there are always forces lurking in the shadows looking to take advantage of weakness. Don’t let them get away with it."
As if a prelude to his words, an elf mounted on a bronze griffon swoops down toward you, closely followed by a woman wielding a morningstar!
The griffon and his rider are 20ft up, and the woman is 30ft up off ground.
Katya 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

I heard about that tale, Ka'atib! I heard the feathers of the oncoming bird made quite a shower!!
Eyeing the opposition, Riegel goes for a twofer--if he can kill the griffon, the rider will fall!
Target griffon until dead. Any extra shots go to the rider (preferably while he's in the air!!)
On first shot:
spend 1 grit on UC&D
spend 1 grit for called shot to the wing. If it hits, must make DC20 fly check or fall 20 feet (how convenient!)
1: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
1d8 + 16 + 3d6 ⇒ (8) + 16 + (5, 5, 6) = 40
2: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
1d8 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22
3: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
1d8 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21
GM JChapman
|
Ka'atib attempts to weave magic within his tale (not tail), targeting the flying woman. She seems to easily rebuff the mental magic.
Riegel takes aim at the griffon. Though the rider tries to maneuver his mount out of the way, Riegel's first bullet strikes its wing! Though painful, the griffon stays in the air... until the follow-up shot blasts through the magical beast's skull! It disappears in a puff of smoke, dumping the surprised rider to the ground.
Fall damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9
The gunsliger's third shot, now aimed at the rider, sails over the prone form.
Batya eyes the two figures. She barely has an opportunity to see what's what with the rider, who is armed with a lance and shield and sports a well-made suit of banded mail. The flying woman wields a morningstar and has a pair of javelins in a holster. She sees that the woman also his girded in a breastplate made of pure force energy. She does not have a pouch with material components as far as any of you can tell.
The woman curses, then shouts to her ally, "Get up Braenthal! Deal with that sharpshooter, I'll deal with the other group."
She begins weaving an incantation and, with an outstretched hand, turns to arching bolts of lightning that strike Lazlo, Lazlo's familiar (Katya), Ka'atib, and Zankul!
Chain Lightning (Reflex for half. DC 23 for Lazlo, DC 21 for the rest): 13d6 + 13 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 1, 6, 3, 4, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 1) + 13 = 55
She then flies over and up (now 40ft up) to get some distance between her and the gunslinger.

Katya's confidence seems diminished after her recent performance. Nonetheless, she gathers a vortex of blood-tinged water around her and fires a blast at the elf. There's a little extra mustard on this blast. Hard to tell just by looking at it, but something's different.
Empowered Bleeding Water Blast: 1d20 + 18 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 18 + 3 = 29

Zan'Kul steps forward and cuts down the griffon rider just as Aram Zey's voice echoes through the Hao Jin tapestry. A quick search yields a few interesting items.

Collecting your findings, you leave the temple and head to the next tapestry portal, this time to deal with the undead that plague the demiplane. Feel free to post whatever healings you do to get back to full. As a gentle reminder, you each have a Potion of Cure Serious Wounds
Appearing before a familiar set of jungle ruins (because the GM used the wrong map before, and is course correcting now), you arrive as Aram Zey calls out instructions to you. "The undead are strongest in the tapestry’s ancient ruins. Cut this problem off at its source."
To your horror, the undead were seemingly digging their way out of the tapestry! They stop, and you note two different forms of undead. Two howling corpses swoop through the air with hideously elongated legs and a bows made of bone. A third is a hovering corpse with a chest that acts as a jagged ribbed prison within which is trapped a tormented ghostly form. Knowledge Religion, DC 19 and 21 are where questions start

Ka'atib weaves another spell of invisibility, this time on himself! He also brings forth an oration the likes of which no one has ever heard!
GM JChapman
|
Ka'atib disappears from sight, though the sound of his voice echoes loudly to bolster his Pathfinder allies.
He identifies a Devourer as the foe on the far left, a creature capable of devouring the souls of the dead and dying. They can also drain the life force of living creatures when struck.
The two skeletal fliers are Baykoks. They also have a knack for devouring souls in their own way, a powerful howling voice, and very potent arrows.
Dread Howl: Once per day, a baykok can unleash a blood-curdling howl. Any living creature within a 30-foot-radius burst becomes paralyzed with fear for 1 round unless it resists with a DC 19 Will save. Any creature that makes this saving throw is instead shaken for 1 round. This is a fear effect. The DC is Charisma-based.
Infused Arrows: A baykok creates arrows of bone as it fires its bow—it need not carry arrows as ammunition. These bone arrows do normal damage for arrows fired from the bow, but gain a +1 enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls. In addition, each arrow deals an additional 1d6 points of negative energy on a hit. Further, the first creature struck in a round by a baykok’s arrow must succeed at a DC 19 Fortitude save to avoid being paralyzed for 1d3 rounds. A baykok can fire normal arrows from its bow if it wishes—such arrows, however, do not gain the special negative energy damage or paralysis effects. The DC is Charisma-based.
The Devourer sees Shucks and mutters some strange syllables to form magic. It then points at Ulysses and says, "Eat."
DC 22 Will save for Shucks, please. Failure means it complies with the Devourer's command.
