Aram Zey stands once more before the tapestry, a renewed light in his sunken eyes. “The Hao Jin Tapestry is stable at last. While you were performing your duties, I have reached a better understanding of the chaos you faced. The tapestry is still in dire condition. Lacking Hao Jin’s own magic, the tapestry has been using small pieces of departing souls to maintain itself over the centuries. This mechanism is depleting the tapestry’s water sources and spawning undead horrors. However, thanks to you, we have time to search for a more permanent fix. For now, get some rest, and—”

The former Master of Spells staggers back as a three-foot tear down the center of the fabric gouts sudden flame. Pathfinder agents flock around him, scrambling to assess the damage. A vein pops out on his forehead, and he yells sharply, “Pathfinders! What have you done?” He cuts himself short, taking a deep breath and muttering to himself, “Keep it together. Don’t take it out on the agents.” Frowning, he returns his gaze to the tapestry, his eyes darting wildly across its surface. When he speaks again, his voice is low and determined, “This new rift is no accident. Something is attacking the tapestry from the Astral Plane. Damage of this magnitude must have spawned hundreds more undead. Quickly, re-enter the demiplane and fend off the invaders!”

Per Slack, the vote is for repelling the Astral invaders

Collectively, you stand before the Hao Jin Tapestry and touch a part of it, disappearing instantly from the Grand Lodge in Absalom...

You arrive to see a gaping hole mars the sky of the tapestry. Beyond the rift, dozens of strange vessels float in the Astral Plane, crawling with invaders. Every surface of the tapestry realm stretches and tears as it tries to repair itself, creating more rifts in a slow but devastating chain reaction. The vessels deploy invaders to wreak havoc as the demiplane disintegrates.

Having been given specific instructions about a location, you reach the appropriate point within 10 minutes. You stand, ready for any threat. You don't have to wait long.

As a horde of towering humanoids approaches, Aram Zey's voice booms. "Pathfinders, these giants may be simpleminded, but our allies can’t outwit them without your help. Get out there and teach them a lesson."

With five foes all told, you note that two of them appear to be hill giants. Each is accompanied by an incredibly large mosquito. Behind them all is a misshapen giant with pale flesh that is covered in purulent sores and bulbous tumors. Knowledge Local (x2) and Knowledge Dungeoneering to ID

Per Slack, Ka'atib begins to inspire his companions with a tale of how brave Ulysses' naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing. +3 morale v. charm/fear, +3 competence to hit/damage. He then casts greater invisibility on Zan'Kul, his apostrophe twin.

Riegel, Discorda in hand, gazes at the spectacle of the Unraveling. He whispers in awe By Eld!

When the giants appear, he settles his gaze on them, apparently satisfied that there are enemies who can succumb. I'm going after the bugs...

Jeff, I can't see any bad guys on the map...

Lazlo can't get all 4, but he can get 3 of the 4. Assuming he places accordingly.

The gnomish arcanist weaves a now-familiar spell, causing a burst of glitter to appear where two of the giants and one of the mosquitos are. All three are cause by surprise and are blinded. One of the giants says, "Dodor? Where are you? I don't see so good!"

Meanwhile, Riegel drowns out any response with several concussive blasts from his firearm. Several pustulent holes appear on Arshok, who roars in pain and is momentarily staggered.

One of the mosquitos then zips rapidly towards Ka'atib and attempts to bite the bard with its proboscis!
    Bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
    Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Need Fort save pls

Katya's connection with blood wins against the resilience of the bug, who is promptly and violently tossed at the head of nearby giant. The impact itself, a mix of fleshy impact and crunching bone, is enough to break the neck of the giant.

With the proboscis ripped from Ka'atib he's able to shake off the worst of the effects from the mosquito's bite.
