Oh, oh!

Runt would know that sound anywhere, the sound of rampaging common goblins followed by the sound of something dying. At first she looks for some place to hide, figuring they were after her. But when she sees Wrath charge in and flatten one with a single blow she decides that it's payback time. Moving forward as best she can with all that armor on (20') so quickly calls upon the reserves of Lamashtu and pulls a fiendish dog into existence, which does what it was 'born' to do and attacks a goblin.

Though an eagle would be the better tactical choice at face value, Runt has always felt that the psychological advantage of siccing a fiendish dog on a goblin was worth the reduced combat abilities. Besides, what goblin could resist attacking a dog, and if they are attacking a dog, then they are NOT attacking her.

The dog quickly closes any distance and attacks the nearest living goblin.

@Runt That is the correct map, these maps and roll20 page are from a previous RotRL campaign our GM ran. You can find our icons on front of the Cathedral. The map opens up in the North Western corner, a little ways from where we are. We are about a third of the way down, and a little less than half of the way to the right.

@Isabella you may be seeing The Old Light, a ruined tower in town. If you can see that tower, you just need to go further to the right(East) to find where the action is happening. If that isn't what you are seeing, I'm not sure what's going on.

It appears that each square is meant to be a 10x10, based on the size of the tokens.

Female C/N Human Inquisitor (Monster Tactician)/8 | HP: 78/78| AC Norm/Tch/FF 27/15/25 24/12/23 | CMD: 23 21 | F/R/W: +10/5/12 +10+4/+12 +?[SiOff] | Init: +5 | Speed 30 (mount)/20 ft | Diplomacy +6, Heal +13, Intimidate +14, Knowledge Arc/Dung/Nat/Pla/Rel +5, Perception +16, Sense Motive +20, SCraft +10 | Active Conditions: shadowfade, heigh aware, light on shield (if dark), false life (8/8 HP), tongues, heroism, divine favor +3, clayskin (40/40), haste, battle cry, mgc crcl, IC

then it would be nice if we could move to any of the 4 corners.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Wrath covered most of the info for the map. I run a live game on Friday nights and it is closing out so if you look at that time you will find yourself in a tower with a bunch of giants. The rest of the time I try to keep it pegged to the town. Each square is 10x10 and in order to move to other corners of the squares you need to hold down the 'alt' key. If on mobile you can move close to where you want and based on your description I can place the token. The other maps are not quite so large. This one covers the entire town and it was better to go with 10' squares.

BTW, I can't seem to make any movement changes on Roll20 right now, but would need a token for the snake to appear in the lower left corner of the square w/ the goblin (I would assume that it would move to the closest unoccupied area)

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

The goblins are small, quick and wear leather armor with small shields. All of this makes it difficult to get in a significant blow. Lavanor finds himself standing next to the table where the dog killer hid. He draws steel and slashes at the creature but the thing dodges out of the way. Zandril's shot goes high missing his intended target but luckily it does not hit anyone else. Valtyra's shot does hit and then Runt's dog comes in snapping. If not for its shield the goblin would have been done for.

As the crowd clears it becomes evident that the goblins are not alone. Anyone with a view down the south street sees a sizable band of goblins. Two more come out from under the stage, one of them leaping up to bite at Father Zantus' ankle the other rushing a man near Rowan. It strikes with its sword and the man goes down crying out in pain. Wrath sees a pair of goblins set ablaze the fuel for the bonfire, which sits in a wagon next to a building. They both laugh and hop about, one getting too close and setting his own hair on fire.

The goblin lavanor swung at slips under the table and then pops up on the far side. It grins in an evil manner at Lavanor and begins to stuff its pouch with food from the table. Meanwhile one of the originally spotted goblins slashes at the summoned dog but is a bit intimidated and fails to hit it.

I had left poor Isabelle and Rixis off the map. Both are there now. For those who cannot see the map I have listed locations and activities of the goblins below.

map orientation:

Center for combat is the courtyard in front of the cathedral.

East side of the courtyard is the stage where Father Zantus is standing. Two goblins have come out of from under it (goblin 4 & 5).

On the south side of the courtyard is a single goblin (goblin 1).

Coming up the south road leading to the courtyard is a group of 6 goblins. To the north east of them are two goblins (G6 & G7) who have just set a wagon on fire.

Misury waves her hands, Casting a spell to guide Rixis as he swiped at the same goblinI can't see the map, Via mobile, But I assume there is still 4 attacking Zanthus
The Eidelon huffs, Growling as he swiped at the goblin with one claw, then the other!
Rixis Claw 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage claw 1: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
The claw tears flesh, Sending the first goblin flying in a mess of torn skin and broken bone. With no other targets in sight Rixis huffs, Looking at Zanthus before turning back to Misury, awaiting his next order.he took a full attack action, But killed the goblin in one attack instead of two, assuming that was the only one there... He ends his turn, Meanwhile Misury cast Guidence on Rixis and didn't move,

Green tokens should all be allies, I believe that is Templeton's constrictor. All goblins are red tokens.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

@Isabella: That is Templeton's snake

@Misury: Rixis killed G4, since you did not take the second attack I'm fine with you taking a move action. Rowan just injured G5, the goblin that cut down the citizen. G5 is 10' north of Rixis, he could move and be ready for a full attack next round.

@All: green tokens are known allies, red are enemy, other color tokens are bystanders usually, sometimes they may be enemies or allies that are unknown.

Infact, I'll have both Misury and Rixis move in to attack G5, since both of them can use their move to do so

Swinging her head around to see where she's needed, Isabella finally breaks into a jog to the north, her heavy sword held low and behind her, and moves to engage one of the goblins.

Double move.

Note that there appear to be two icons of my character on the map.

@isabella: That's because you are so amazing I had you in two places at once.

The goblin not paying attention to its own dire situation strikes out at Isabella but misses. Meanwhile, the goblin near the burning wagon has a brilliant idea. It removes the chock holding the wheels. Only then does it realize its mistake in choosing to stand in front of the wheel while removing the chock. The goblin is crushed by the wheel. The weight of the wagon and the fact that it is on an incline sends it rolling toward Wrath (DC 5 REF to avoid; STR check DC 12 to stop the wagon, 1 in 3 chance of getting burned). To make matters worse, the fire from the wagon has jumped to the thatch of the building it was next to and is likely to set the house across the street on fire if it crashes into it.

On the south running road the goblins jump upon the opportunity to hack at the dog. Only two of them hit, one merely because it gained a flank. The dog bleeds but continues to stand.

Hasted

With a bit of extra speed from being hasted, Zandril runs into the fray of things and attacks Goblin 9.

With Haste I should be able to get there without provoking an AoO

Estoc: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 1 = 17
Damgage: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4

He thrusts his sword at the goblin and strikes the creature, running his sword through it and finishing it off.

He positions himself deflect any attack that comes his way.

Zandril will Parry/Riposte the first 2 attacks that come his way.

Current AC is 17 with Haste.

Parry/Riposte 1:

The shortspear slides past the goblin, and Misury curses, Spiting in the Goblin's face.

This is all done Assuming G5 is still alive

G5 is quite the crafty creature and so far has avoided all attacks this round

With every goblin death you hear Runt give a whoop of joy or a loud 'YES!'. The target dummy dog continues its rampage having survived the swarm of goblins somehow and faithfully rips into a goblin [G10].

Runt just hurries down to where the wagon is and gets ready to try to stop it. Dealing with goblin fires is not an uncommon situation for her to find herself in. Somehow it is always her that gets punished for the fires and not the goblins. 'That's why we put you down there, idiot,' is a phrase she is all too used to.
