Level 5 really shortcuts things as I get remove disease and with a good roll I can fix up Grayst's ghoul fever.

Yeah, so tomorrow morning, when we are fresh with spells and such, Isabella casts remove disease on Grayst and BAM his ghoul fever is cured.

So team, should I go into magic item creation? I could do magic arms and armor or potions. Assuming we have enough time, would make 'em affordable for us.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

There are some points for down time but others where you have a bit of a time crunch. Something to keep in mind since the more expensive items can take a bit to complete. To the positive side, you could always leave items partially complete and return to finish.

    Female C/N Human Inquisitor (Monster Tactician)/8 | HP: 78/78| AC Norm/Tch/FF 27/15/25 24/12/23 | CMD: 23 21 | F/R/W: +10/5/12 +10+4/+12 +?[SiOff] | Init: +5 | Speed 30 (mount)/20 ft | Diplomacy +6, Heal +13, Intimidate +14, Knowledge Arc/Dung/Nat/Pla/Rel +5, Perception +16, Sense Motive +20, SCraft +10 | Active Conditions: shadowfade, heigh aware, light on shield (if dark), false life (8/8 HP), tongues, heroism, clayskin (40/40), haste

The thing I don;t like about crafting is that you have to make an Int based roll or you lose your materials. Fine for an Int based caster, but not so much for the others. Unless I am missing something? Never actually did crafting.

    Female Aasimar Cleric of Reymenda 8 | 56/62 HP | AC 15 T 11 FF 14 | Fort +9 Ref +4 Will +12 | Initiative +1 | Perception +7 | Channel Energy 4/6 | Holy Lance 0/1 | Rebuke Death 8/8 | Touch of Good 8/8

You make a Spellcraft check, DC 5 + caster level. (It's harder if you try to make an item with a power for which you don't have the appropriate spell.) As a cleric, I have access to the entire cleric spell list, which is a fair chunk of possibilities, and you can always add +5 to the DC to make an item that requires a spell you don't have (like a flaming sword, which normally requires you to know fireball, which Isabella doesn't have).

Isabella has max ranks in Spellcraft, so generally this should be a non-issue. A caster level 3 +1 weapon, for instance, would be DC 8—Isabella would succeed automatically on the Spellcraft check without a roll (since you don't auto-fail skills on a 1).

Potion crafting is less spectacular but would allow us to offload a bunch of healing into potions. We could have potions for things like lesser restoration and remove disease so that we can cover the entire party, in addition to the usual cure potions. Also a few utility or defense potions are possible, like shield of faith, protection from evil, resist energy, or bull's strength.

    Female C/N Human Inquisitor (Monster Tactician)/8 | HP: 78/78| AC Norm/Tch/FF 27/15/25 24/12/23 | CMD: 23 21 | F/R/W: +10/5/12 +10+4/+12 +?[SiOff] | Init: +5 | Speed 30 (mount)/20 ft | Diplomacy +6, Heal +13, Intimidate +14, Knowledge Arc/Dung/Nat/Pla/Rel +5, Perception +16, Sense Motive +20, SCraft +10 | Active Conditions: shadowfade, heigh aware, light on shield (if dark), false life (8/8 HP), tongues, heroism, clayskin (40/40), haste

A lot easier than I remembered.

Crafting would be a great idea.

Isabella, I believe you have just earned yourself neutral good.

Below is a list of the seven deadly sins. Assuming a normal person is a 2 on a scale of 1-5, where do you see your own character for each of the seven and which sin do you think your fellow party members exhibit more than the others? You may PM with your other player selections or post it in the open as you prefer.

    Envy
    Sloth
    Lust
    Wrath
    Pride
    Gluttony
    Greed

That sounded convoluted but perhaps you agree you are a 2 on six of the seven but you are definitely a 4 on greed. Then list your teammates: Isabella Pride; Runt Envy; Lavanor Pride; Forest Wrath; Camil Sloth.

    Female Aasimar Cleric of Reymenda 8 | 56/62 HP | AC 15 T 11 FF 14 | Fort +9 Ref +4 Will +12 | Initiative +1 | Perception +7 | Channel Energy 4/6 | Holy Lance 0/1 | Rebuke Death 8/8 | Touch of Good 8/8

That's, um, really bad, because I'm a cleric. This basically means that I've earned punishment from my deity for moving away from my god's alignment.

You'll note specifically that Isabella did not call for Habe to be sent before a judge or put into jail, because she's looking for a solution that serves the common weal (good) while not imposing a burden of rules and regulations upon the community (chaotic).

Is there anywhere to purchase scrolls or spells here in sandpoint?

Also, I took a metamagic feat but if group would prefer I could take a create magic item feat.

I'd agree with this assessment. Changing alignment is kinda a big deal and you need to pretty grievous about it for it to change.

    Female C/N Human Inquisitor (Monster Tactician)/8 | HP: 78/78| AC Norm/Tch/FF 27/15/25 24/12/23 | CMD: 23 21 | F/R/W: +10/5/12 +10+4/+12 +?[SiOff] | Init: +5 | Speed 30 (mount)/20 ft | Diplomacy +6, Heal +13, Intimidate +14, Knowledge Arc/Dung/Nat/Pla/Rel +5, Perception +16, Sense Motive +20, SCraft +10 | Active Conditions: shadowfade, heigh aware, light on shield (if dark), false life (8/8 HP), tongues, heroism, clayskin (40/40), haste

So you want us to vote on each of the PCs including ourselves as to which of the 7 sins is most fitting?

    Forest is definitely pride.

    Runt is probably Envy.

I'll have to think about the others.

    I'd see Zherxikas as

    Lust 4 (lust for power)
    Greed 4 (greed for gold)
1 or 2 in everything else

Mmms... not sure I see that many other fit. I'd agree with Forest as Pride, Runt as Envy I guess I could see based on what Runt has to say. The others?

Lavanor unsure I've got a read on the ranger
    Camil maybe Pride?
    Isabella? No idea.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

@Zherxikas: there are a couple peddlers of scrolls in town.

@Isabella: I disagree. Note is not a punishment since you are still well within the alignment range of your deity. On a couple of different issues your decisions have been more neutral than chaotic. At least from my view. I saw it as a positive growth sort of issue. To that end if you do not wish to shift i can live with that.

@all: take the next couple of weeks to ponder the sins of yourselves and of your teammates.

Greed for Zherxikas. Lust for power is just greed.

    That leaves Camil and Isabella.

Camil might have a thirst for knowledge and that might be a form of gluttony.

Isabella could probably be tempted to revenge or righteous indignation and that might make her a candidate for wrath.

I haven't kicked anyone off the map. A quick recap of the situation; you are currently 120' north of one of the scarecrows who just managed to pull itself off of its pole. Forest is 50' south of you having killed another one that was still tangled up on its pole. Lavanor has moved about 20' in south of you and fired at the freed scarecrow but failed to hit.
