Hehehehehehehe! Indeed. :)
My ideas continue to bubble. Right now I'm leaning toward reprising a beloved gnomish alchemist of mine, Clara Flingflopsparkfizz.
Synopsis:
Clara is great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Umbilicus Flingflopsparkfizz, one of the greatest alchemists of all time, and the inventor of the Ultimate Fizzy Drink. Umbilicus was bold and clever, and family lore tells that he once adventured side-by-side with Nivi Rhombodazzle himself, but the most glowing stories always return to his fabled fizzypops. There's some debate in the family as to whether the Ultimate Fizzy Drink was best enjoyed as a beverage or thrown at one's foes, but all agree that it was zesty, uplifting, and very very fizzy.
Tragically, the original recipe for the Ultimate Fizzy Drink was lost years ago. Since then the Flingflopsparkfizz clan has worked frenetically -- but fruitlessly -- to try to replicate it.
Clarabibulus believes that her own father has gone about his Life Quest all wrong: staying at home, trying recipe after recipe. Great-grandpoppa Umbilicus adventured beside the The Grey Polychrome herself, and had clearly found interesting ingredients to add to his soda pop all across Golarion. Clara has vowed with a fizzy passion to succeed where previous generations have fallen flat. She's on a quest across the world to discover the legendary missing ingredients and create a new recipe to brew the Ultimate Fizzy Drink.
I could build her either as a Alchemist or as a Spheres of Might Scholar. Either way, she'd be a reasonable ranged fighter, a buffer (via infusions and potions), and--especially if Scholar is permitted--a healer as well.
---
So, some related questions:
1) The Druidic Herbalism Nature Bond Variant makes Druids into (in many ways) the Ultimate alchemists. Is that ability up for grabs, either as a Special from another class, or in place of a bonus animal...
Is it possible to change the stat associated with a borrowed 'Special'? e.g., could I use INT instead of WIS for this, if borrowed onto an alchemist?
3) Veering from crunch to fluff, a previous version of Clara had her background intertwined with Vecna (and her hand and eye). I know that Vecna's traditionally not part of Golarion canon. Do you have any interest in adding her to it? If not, it'll be easy to rewrite...but I figured I'd ask first.
I am going to say no to spheres of power.
1) The link did not get me to the variant2) Using a wish that would be possible
3) I would be fine either way, though other players might be a bit lost.

13 14 21 21 18 18 definitely something good to work with. I plan up to the wish for background.Just to clarify what do you consider tax feats, there are some obvious offenders but people have some that are subjective.

That site sums it up nicely, though if you have a question please ask.

Were we to slick with the old characters (like Niche or Rosa) what kind of curses could there be to bring them down to the power level of the rest of the group? Any examples or suggestions?
This is primarily for Niche and Rosa:
One example that I have given so far is a debilitating disease from the ziggurat. -10 to one ability score that is crucial to the player and tied into a curse and you are looking for a way to cure it.Also we need to see how the new players power level comes out.
I am open to suggestions from everyone.

What I have done is remove the Tempate and used Race building in its pace, uses the wish and super power to just add Race Points. Down rezing her states and Fiendish stuff. But keeping the idea. So in place of Fly 80' perfect she has fly 40 Arrange.
No more immunities, or Spell Resistance, Dark Vision back to 60' Restances back to Basic Tefling. etc. Her Cha is 11 now, int 14 Con 14.
But as you say GM, Best see what new players come up with then I'll tweak again to fit.

Hey GM Wolf, thanks for the answers. No worries about Spheres. I'll likely build Clara as a Alchemist (Mindchemist).

...
1) The link did not get me to the variant
Sorry, there's no direct link to it. this gets you to the Nature's Bond section, and the first bolded section in it is titled Druidic Herbalism Nature Bond Variant (Optional). I'll quote it here for ease of review:
Druidic herbalism is a nature bond option that can be taken by any druid at 1st level except those with archetypes or alternate class features that alter or replace nature bond or mandate a specific nature bond choice.
Instead of granting access to a domain or an animal companion, a druid’s bond with nature can take a third form: access to druidic herbalism.
A druid who chooses to learn druidic herbalism can use combinations of nuts, berries, dried herbs, and other natural ingredients along with appropriate containers to create herbal concoctions or magic consumables that function like potions. This acts like the Brew Potion feat, but only for spells on the druid spell list. Herbal concoctions are typically thick and sludgy, and their creation time, caster level, spell duplication capabilities, and all other variables and properties are identical to those of potions created using Brew Potion. Herbal concoctions created with herbs that cause special effects when ingested retain those effects as well as the appropriate spell effect.
A druid can create a number of free herbal concoctions per day equal to her Wisdom modifier. Additional concoctions cost the same as creating an equivalent potion using Brew Potion. Druids can sell their herbal concoctions just as if they were potions (though NPCs unfamiliar with druidic herbalism may need some convincing before purchasing these wares).
At 4th level, a druid’s increasing skill with herbalism means that she can disguise the effects of her herbal concoctions. When a creature attempts a Perception or Spellcraft check to identify one of the druid’s concoctions, the concoction appears to be a different herbal concoction of the druid’s choice unless the creature exceeds the identification DC by 5 or more. The druid must designate this false result when creating the concoction. If a creature exceeds the identification DC by 5 or more, it correctly identifies the concoction, though not that the druid tried to fool it.
Additionally, at 4th level, when the druid creates additional concoctions, she need pay only half the normal cost to create them. It takes her only half the normal time to create her concoctions, and she can create concoctions of spells from any spell list, as long as she can cast the spell.
At 7th level, when the druid creates concoctions with potential false identification results, a creature attempting to identify the concoction must exceed the identification DC by 10 or more to determine the concoction’s true identity.
Additionally, at 7th level, a druid can create any herbal concoction in 1 minute. She can also create a special concoction of any spell higher than 3rd level that she can cast, but to do so, she must expend a spell slot of the same level. These special concoctions do not cost her anything to create and function like extracts created by an alchemist with the infusion discovery.

Character being built. Now Niche won’t have anyone taking his role. Sorry again!
Making an Orog vampire hunter. For the animal companion/Mount, having the ghost rider class’ “Ghost Mount.”
The background for this is going to be fun. Mechanically she is going to be a pretty hard hitting switch hitter, though she will he focusing on shooting.
Ingrid Foedottir
Dragana was once an Orog who had it all. She had a bestial tribe that she called her own within the Lost Lands on the border of Brevoy. Orcs, goblins, even a handful of gnolls. Rather than practice banditry, she instead had the vision to turn her band of raiders into mercenaries. To sate the bloodlust of her followers, and herself, she would be hired out to noble houses of Brevoy. It was her job to ensure that the merchant caravans of her employer’s rivals never made it to their destinations, and those bearing the right colors got through unscathed. It was a good life.
But all good things must come to an end. It happened when her tribe fulfilled a contract to raid the coach of a nobleman. It seemed easy enough, as the man didn’t even have any guards. She launched the attack at night, so her followers could sneak up on the coach...she didn’t know anything was wrong until the screaming started.
When she reached the scene, sitting atop a warhorse taken from a previous raid, she found naught but carnage. Dead goblins were everywhere, and the Noble was in the process of butchering her orcs. The man moved like a blur, his blade everywhere at once. Body parts littered the ground, and as the blood flew, the man became faster and faster.
Eventually the night grew silent except for the moans of the dying. All that was left was Dragana and the noble. A single man, his skin as pale as the moon, against a six foot tall orc, clad in the looted gear of a fallen knight. Seeing a true challenge, she spurred the horse on. She knew that her could splint a tree. The noble would be no different.
Dragana found herself on the ground, her armor shredded to pieces. All that was left, more or less intact, was her mithril breastplate. She blinked away the blood and saw the man crush her gorget in his hands. Uncomprehending she stared at him, unable to rise to her feet. He smiled, showing his fangs.
The Orog chieftainess was left there, bleeding in the night. His words ringing in her ears. [i]”You are not worthy. Not yet. But you amuse me, Beast. If you ever become more, seek me out in Brevoy. Know me by my signet.”[/b] Contemptuously his ring was thrown to her, accompanied by laughter.
The next morning she woke, the sun stinging her eyes. Despite the heat of the day, she felt cold. The days went by, and her condition became worse and worse. She saw things. Her beloved horse came to her each night, an ethereal shade. It came until it became real. Real enough to ride the ghost. Not long after fingers could turn into claws, and when they did so she hungered for the blood of the living.
Now Dragana is a woman on a mission. She is a vampire hunter, who wants nothing more than to find the noble of Brevoy. To test herself against him once more! To find out exactly what he did to her. One can but imagine her reaction when she learned that all of the royalty had gone missing, and with them her target...

Ludwig leaned against his halberd, staring out into the pouring rain. It was just his luck to be on watch on such a night. His comrades were back in the barracks, dry, warm and probably drunk. And he was sheltering against the storm as best he could. Sure, there could be dangers out there, but on such a night? Even goblins weren’t so stupid. And then he saw something. A large figure in the gloom. It was a Knight? Hard to tell. Ludwig leaned forward and squinted, holding up his lantern to get a better look.
”Who there?!” He yelled. The rider had a wide brimmed hat, a dark red cloak...a lance...a breastplate...and his eyes went wide.
It was an orc! But not a stooped monster. No, she rode with her back straight and with a hard look in her eyes. He had the misfortune of facing an ogre before, but she looked like she could break even such a beast.
”Name is Dragana.” The dwarf said. ”Let me pass.”
Ludwig wanted nothing more than to do so, but duty compelled him. He swallowed nervously. ”Err...yes. Yes! But first state your business in Brevoy.”
The orc glared again. For a very awkward moment there was complete silence. She was dressed like a civilized person. She rode like one. But every instinct he had screamed at him to flee. And her horse...was it? His attention was broken when she responded ”One of your nobles paid me to do a job. It isn’t finished.”
Ludwig nodded, still not sure what was going on. ”I...see? Well...uhm they are gone...”
He barely had time to finish his sentence when she pushed her way past him. It felt like being moved by a avalanche. His halberd suddenly felt very inadequate. He thought about stopping the woman, but then decided against it. He wasn’t paid enough...
Also as I was finishing the crunch, I realized that I forgot this
Hp: 4d8 ⇒ (7, 3, 8, 3) = 21
Fluff done. Crunch done. A character who can shoot really well, and who can charge for massive amounts of damage. In either circumstance she can really ruin someone’s day. It’s expensive to have two weapons, but I think it is worth it.
Also having the wish be to have her arrows be unlimited and do negative energy damage. Because it fits the theme (with the Ghost Mount) and against the undead she can always just melee.
Finally she is going VMC for the ghoul bloodline. As this shows the undead taint in her taking root.

I noticed that Grimbaki suggested a wish could grant 2 points to your race, and Johny Panic assumed the wish and super power should grant 10 Race Points each. I actually think modifying your race with Race points is a nice way of standardizing what sort of things a wish might do, and a blanket ruling that anyone could use would give a lot of variability in terms of what you might be able to ask for (though not all options, of course). 10 might be a lot though, and is not far off what some lesser templates do. It is manageable, and somewhat predictable though, as if everyone gets the same, it doesnt matter how many points could be granted, as the playing field remains level.
In that respect it is kind of like a mini-template you can customize to exactly what your character needs, and very standard, as it is based on a play tested system of ability values.
GM, can you give us a number of points that anyone that wishes to use their wish and or super power to modify their race might use? Whether it is 5 and 10, 10 and 10, 2 and 15, etc, as long as it is the same for everyone that wishes to use the option...

I was thinking the same thing, I did go for 10 as RB has some odd costings for things. Like flight is mad expanse while something like 5 resistance on three energies is low.
30' flight at poor is 6 rp points and busting it up just one step is 2, so moving the three steps to normal is 10 RP points. Yikes hence going for 10 points just for flight. But I do think fixing the point costs so that race builder can be used will fix a lot of balance problems

I noticed the same thing, that some abilities are surprisingly expensive compared to others. Like you said, flight is expensive; if you wanted Fast Healing 1 this way, it costs 6 rp. My first reaction was that 10 was way too much, but looking closer, I think you might be right, that it makes a relatively round number that you can do a lot of things, including stat bonuses, special abilities, even spell-like abilities, so I think it could work.
I essentially have Niche reworked to eliminate his Template, and I think it should work! Just waiting on the final word on the Race points.

Hey guys, I'm a bit late to the party, but I saw this just today.
If you leave this open for a couple more days I can come up with a character because I really would like to join this fun :)
Up with the rolls!
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 1, 3) = 11 10
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 3, 1) = 16 15
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 2, 4) = 20 18
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 6, 3) = 16 14
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 4, 5) = 15 14
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 1, 2) = 8 7
Like the most sad rolls I've seen in this thread, but I will try to come up with something. (Mind rerolls? :D )
Werecaster
I've a fun idea I've been kicking around for a while and thought I would give it a toss here :D
A gnome barbarian! (expect the backstory done in the next 24 hours if you will give me the time!)
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 1, 6) = 22 21
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 2, 2) = 18 16
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 2, 5) = 21 19
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5, 2, 3) = 21 19
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 2, 6) = 16 14
Roll: 4d12 ⇒ (10, 11, 4, 11) = 36
I mean..... wow thats a pretty good role.
But yeah should have the back story up relatively soon along side everything else!
Edit: Realized I was one stat sort.
Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 1, 4) = 9 8
So thats were all the bad luck went XD

I finished up a background story, it's both a writing sample and a background story. It has dialogue so a number of the "paragraphs" are short, so I wrote about double what you'd asked for. I hope you like it. If you'd like more details, please tell me.
Sharda is a Goliath Druid focused on melee and shapeshifting. I'm finishing up the crunch and I'll post that tomorrow.
It all began with a hiss.
I remember the day well, I was in the jungle, sitting in a small clearing. My chanting was muffled and dying out in the oppressive, hot, and humid air. The heat and the day of chanting had exhausted me completely and I hoped I'd make it to the end of the ritual without passing out. My voice had grown hoarse and my throat was parched.
Teacher had instructed me well in the ways of the wild and she'd brought me to this point in my life. She said she'd taught me everything I needed to know to take the next step, she couldn't take me farther until I'd completed this ritual. I researched what I'd need and where to go, I offered my prayers to Gozreh for a successful ritual and to not be eaten by something while I was performing it. I'd taken a deep breath and headed out into the jungle.
A trickle of sweat beaded down my forehead and dripped into one of my eyes stinging it and making it water. Squinting in pain I tried to finish the ritual, I was very close to the end, very soon now...
There was a loud crash off in the jungle before me. I began to panic, it didn't sound like what I was calling. I hoped something dangerous hadn't decided to wander by and kill me. More loud crashes followed as whatever it was sundered trees to come closer to me.
I saw a large dark shape in the undergrowth coming closer. It was vastly larger than if the ritual had gone well. The last few words of the ritual croaked out of my mouth as the large shape broke through the trees into the clearing. It was a full-grown allosaurus.
The ritual was supposed to attract a young allosaurus. Somehow, something had gone desperately wrong with the ritual or I'd just gotten unlucky and a random one had wandered by. I knew I was about to die, it lowered it's huge head to my eye level. It opened its mouth, the long dagger shaped teeth glistened with saliva.
It hissed at me, the sound an allosaur makes right before it kills. The hiss was loud enough to shake me and I felt its hot breath on my face.
I remembered yesterday when I was in Step-Father's study sitting in a chair in front of his desk. It was oppressively hot and sweat kept trickling down into my eyes. He leaned forward in his chair bringing his face closer to mine. He glowered at me as he took a deep breath before speaking, his breath hissed inward.
In a cold voice barely containing his rage he said, "I'm tired of you and your mongrel blood polluting this house. You've never been trained before and yet last night you cast a spell. I knew you'd grow up to be no good. Just like your father, you're going to go mad from the magic seething inside of you."
"I'll not have let you harm any of my family, get your things and get out of here. I never want to see you again!" he thundered, slamming his fist on the desk hard enough the impact shook me. I'd seen him angry before but not like this, I was afraid he'd beat me if I stayed.
I waited for the allosaur to get it over with and kill me. It's large reptilian eyes stared right into mine. I'd never been that terrified before. A short while later as all sorts of gruesome visions of what my mangled body would soon look like flit through my head, it hissed again.
Could it be it didn't want to eat me? All sorts of thoughts ran into my head, I tried to think of what to do. I remembered a scrawled note in the margin of the book I'd read about making an allosaur a companion. It couldn't be, had I been lucky?
I cast one of the spells Gozreh had granted me for the day and asked, "Mother?"
When I was young and it was just Mother and myself, I would ask her to tell stories about her days with Father. She'd tell me tales of their days adventuring together, the ruins they'd explored, the perilous dungeons they'd emptied, and the horrible beasts they'd slain. Her beautiful green eyes would gleam with excitement when she recalled their time together. It seemed to be the only time she was happy back then.
Father and her settled down when I was born. A quiet cottage in the forest by a stream. I barely remember him, a gray skinned man with glittering blue eyes like sapphires. He smiled a lot. I have his eyes, glittering blue gemstones and my skin is also gray, though lighter than his. Mother was a human who'd fallen in love with this man who obviously had blood that wasn't entirely human flowing through his veins.
I have occasional memory glimpses of father sometimes becoming randomly angry and he'd stomp out of the cottage. Mother would look concerned as terrible noises sounded from outside. I was never allowed to look and Mother kept the doors and windows shut. The next memories I have were from a few years later, Father was no longer around and Mother looked unhappy most of the time.
We moved from that peaceful cottage and traveled to the city Mother grew up in. It was noisy and smelly and nothing like the idyllic setting I was born into. We lived close to family. I adjusted to living in the city, although I received stares from people when they noticed my eyes. Then Mother met Step-Father and everything changed for the worse.
"Yes my child, you called to me and I came," the allosaur replied.
I slumped a little in relief, she wasn't here to eat me. The note had mentioned that in rare circumstances, a female who'd just lain eggs would answer the call and you could negotiate with her for one of her eggs. I hoped asking for one of her eggs wouldn't make her angry and she'd eat me anyway.
"I have come to ask a favor of you Mother. I would like one of your eggs." I hesitantly asked.
There was a long pause as more images of my mangled body crossed my mind, "Why do you want one of my children?"
"I need a companion to aid me in my endeavors. To help me defend nature against everything that tries to destroy it. I implore you in Gozreh's name to help me in this," I explained.
She seemed to think on this for a while, her unblinking eyes staring into mine as if trying to read my soul, "What do you offer?"
I hadn't prepared for this, what could I offer her? I had nothing on me that would be valuable to a dinosaur living in the jungle. Then I realized what she was asking, "I offer your child a companion for life. I offer it fresh red meat without struggle. I offer it my devotion."
She stared at me some more and then, some decision made in her mind that she did not reveal to me, she turned and went back into the jungle. I nearly collapsed. I was exhausted from the ritual, hot, sticky, hungry, thirsty, and drained from all the fear.
After yelling at me and ordering me out of the house, Step-Father stormed out of the room. I was left wondering what to do next, where was I supposed to go? Would he come back to beat me? Not wanting him to come back and see me, I quickly went to my room. I packed my few belongings and fingered the ring on my necklace - Mother's wedding ring.
When I was little and before Mother met Step-Father, she still wore her wedding ring. I tried to adjust to the city. I didn't have any friends and I was smaller than the other children. With my different looks, I was the target of numerous fights and the center of all the other children's cruelty. I took to wandering the streets at odd hours to avoid people or I stayed home closeted in our small home. I wasn't used to being penned up and I had to get out when I could.
Mother always looked sad back then and she was worried about me whether I hid inside or when I went out that I'd come back beaten up. After she met Step-Father, she seemed happier. He looked mean and he didn't treat Mother as well as Father did. I never liked him and whenever he was around, I left the house and wandered the city. I wished I was larger and stronger so I could defend myself, but because of Father's blood in my veins I grew up slower than the other children. I was always the small one.
Mother and Step-Father eventually married and we moved into his mansion. Step-Father was a successful merchant, he owned multiple ships and they traded goods around the seas. His other children were all older than me and didn't like Mother or myself. They played cruel pranks on me and never missed an opportunity to make my life worse.
Sometimes, I'd sneak into Mother's room, go into her jewelry box, and look at her wedding ring. It was a plain gold band with a single blue sapphire. And it was the only thing of Father's that remained. Everything else from the little cottage in the woods and that wonderful time in my childhood was gone. Only faint memories were left.
Mother noticed how unhappy I was and how ill-treated I was by the other children. She came to my room one day and said, "My sweet child, you need to get out some more, I have someone you should meet. You're old enough now."
She took my hand and led me out of the city and down a road through the jungle. We came upon a small path that led off from the road and deeper into the jungle. We turned aside there and followed it. A short while later we arrived at a small cottage in a clearing.
An ankylosaur was calmly eating some leaves and it looked up when we entered the glade. It seemed to shiver with excitement like a dog when it saw Mother and ran over to us, it's immense weight shaking the ground with every step. I stepped back uncertain what was happening and it looked like it was going to bowl Mother over. She threw her arms around it's head and hugged it, then scratched it in some unknowable spot behind one of the horns on its head causing it to wag that large club of a tail. Mother cooed to it as she scratched it, "It's been so long since I saw you. I hope you've been good."
A tall, dark elf dressed in clothes that matched the colors of the jungle leaves came out of the cottage calling, "I was wondering what all that racket was. Of course it was you."
Mother smiled the broadest I've seen her smile since we lived with Father and she ran over to hug the elf, "I'm so glad to see you again! It has been too long and so many things have changed. All except you."
The elf nodded and turned to study me. "Is this her? Is this Sharda? She looks so much like her father." she asked Mother.
Mother's smile faltered for a moment at the mention of Father but she recovered, "This is her and she is very much like him. Enough of sadness though, I'm so happy you're here. I've been very worried about her. The other children are cruel to her. She's smaller than them and can't defend herself well."
The elf smirked as she looked at me, "Well, now that I'm here, we can feed her griffon steaks and dragon milk and see if we can strengthen her up a bit."
She addressed me for the first time, "You stay out here and play with Helga while I catch up with your mother. Tomorrow we start your training." She turned and led Mother into the cottage. I wondered who Helga was when the ankylosaur butted it's head up against me nearly knocking me over. It dropped a tree branch at my feet as if begging me to play fetch with her.
That's how I met Teacher. I went to her cottage everyday I could and learned everything she could teach me. I'd been hungry for learning and I soaked up everything she taught me. Step-Father had forbidden me from learning anything involving magic because he said Father went mad from magic and he could tell I was a bad apple that didn't fall far from the tree.
I snuck out of the house all of the time and ran to Teacher's cottage. It was my refuge from a dismal world. The jungle around the cottage was bright, fresh, and energizing whereas the mansion was dreary, stuffy, and filled with people who hated me. Mother and I had to keep secret about what I was learning and where I was running off to all the time. Step-Father didn't care I wasn't around; out of sight, out of mind.
I fingered the wedding ring on it's hand woven necklace. I put it around my neck and decided I was going to leave for Teacher's immediately. It was the only place I had left to go. Teacher had indeed strengthened me over the past years, not with dragon's milk, but with lots of back breaking labor. Now, when other people tried to push me around, I pushed back.
Last night one of Step-Father's own kids pushed me too far. I was so angry I didn't want to hit him fearing I'd kill him, so I cast a spell on him. Immediately I knew I'd made a grave mistake when I saw the fear and shock on everyone's faces. They all must believe I'd manifested powers like Father's. I wish Mother was still around, but I was alone in the mansion and now everyone was afraid of me.
A little over a year ago, Mother became sick. Priests came to examine her and cure her, but to no avail. All they'd say was that it was a powerful curse, beyond anything they'd seen before and none of them were powerful enough to do anything about it.
When I told Teacher about Mother, she frowned and closed her eyes, "I knew this would happen one day. All I can tell you is to spend as much time with her now as you can, she doesn't have long." Now matter how much I pleaded she wouldn't tell me more.
I spent the next few days constantly at Mother's bedside. She told me all the stories of her and Father again so I'd remember them. I watched her waste away before my eyes. One of the last days before she died, she took her wedding band from her jewelry box and gave it to me, "Take this my sweet little girl. I know life hasn't always been easy for you and I hope this will remind you of Father and I in happier times. When you wear it know that we are watching over you and protecting you."
Taking the ring off the necklace I put it on my finger, finally able to wear it openly. I looked around my room in the hellish mansion one last time, smiled, and set off for Teacher's cottage. She'd had me preparing to perform a ritual for months now and she'd said it was time.
A loud crash in the jungle startled me out of my drowsy state. The mother allosaur had been gone for a while, I hoped the noise was from her returning and not some other predator. More crashing later and she came into the clearing with one of her eggs in her mouth. She delicately placed it at my feet.
I reached out to take it and saw Mother's ring on my finger. I smiled thinking she and Father had been watching over me. I picked up the egg, it was large, warm, and leathery.
I looked up, "Thank you Mother, I appreciate your sacrifice and your gift."
The mother allosaur nodded its head a bit, "Take good care of her little hunter."
I was confused, "I'm not a hunter."
She snorted and as she turned away to walk back in the jungle she said, "You will be."

added Davian and the Zigarat to her back story
Did somebody say 'Desnan Cleric'?!!?!
She stood looking at the hippogriff, She was in her smaller form so as not to scare it. The thing was a wonder to look at it really was. Wings of so many colors.
"It told my Sword you found it in a Dream, really?"
Davian gave her a look.
Sorry Davian did not meaning to play you PC but I wanted us back talking
"Your not still mad at me are you. I told you the lord of the ziggurat showed me what she had done. Leading the last group in to get clobbered by his home defences. And I know your mad at me because I did not tell you I was there on a diplomatic mission. But trust me when the Lord of the Hells tells you to keep it on the quiet, You do just that."
She took a breath and tried another tack.
"Look I got you all out live, unlike the last lot. If we had kept doing what that nut case of scubas lover wanted we would all be dead, Trust me Lord Momonga would have ended us all. His Dimension his rules, so you should be thanking me."
But that did not seem to work, O well there was nothing for it but it.
"Ok, ok, this is something I very very rawly say."
She seems to be trying to work hard to the the words our.
" I'm sorry ok, Davian, I'm sorry, Sorry I used you and the rest to get in there. I'm Sorry I kicked that tifling ..in her balls. I'm sorry ok. Now will that do?"
Another look
"O come on, 'Desnan, look if not because I said sorry because something has come up and I think you would be very interested in knowing what it is. so come on talk to me. please with jam as they say.."
Hells this man was hard work.
I see them in a kind of 'Killing Eve' relationship

As promised, I completed my character.
Let me present you Katherine Dreamborne, you can find crunch and fluff in the link.
As special perks (also in the link) I took:
You can assume a Shadow Form as a full-round action as will, becoming a pure shadow. You can either assume a hybrid form, or a pure form.
In a pure Shadow Form, all of your gear melds into your body, and this ability works like gaseous form, with the following exceptions. You gain the incorporeal subtype and are invisible in dark environment.
In a hybrid Shadow Form, you gain concealment versus melee and ranged attack, and are invisible in dark environment.
In both forms you gain the see in darkness monster ability.
Wish: I'd like to gain the Nightmare Creature Template
Special from other classes: I'll take Inquisitor Solo Tactics.
I can change those if they're too op

Wolf's earlier posts basically just said No templates, but he might make an exception for lousy rolls. He might be more prone to just allowing you a reroll though, who knows. Hopefully we hear from him soon; he's been absent for a while now.
As for backstory, line breaks are what they are teaching in classes these days, I believe, and I don't find them any harder to follow than indents, but maybe that's just me. I had to check as I couldn't remember what I did with mine, but it turns out I used line breaks too, though my paragraphs tend to be a little longer. I could check the wordcount, but I am not at all worried about coming in under. (Just checked - my intro story is at 6882 words). I think that Wolf is the first GM I've ever see ask for more reading to do!)
I'm thinking of adding a more classic 3rd person summary to this submission, simply because I have the time, and because there are parts of my backstory I thought up, but didn't really fit into the story itself.
I think I've seen a few people that only wrote 5-6 paragraphs, and in my opinion, if you do anything less than the full 10 you are selling yourself short, and basically just leaving money on the table. Do yourself a favour and go the whole nine yards!

I agree with you on the fact that the template is strong, I liked it because of the fear aspects it offered and it fits thematically with the character concept.
Sadly I'm afraid bad rolls and bad hps are going to impact, that's why I made the build to have a lot of evade abilities (superpower gives concealment and an escape button) and reach/blind to avoid direct confrontation, animal companion has trip to help, and fear aspects of the template help on the rolls. I think it is balanced, I could find some synergy, but I will find something else if templates are out, even if this is a CR+1 only.
Word count on my story is 1007, but I could easily write more. Probably a word count can be better evaluated than line breaks. In the end everyone is inserting line breaks here and there to get to thirty :D

Approval Needed as I made a new character so as to not steal Niche’s
* Wish: For shadow Weapons to work on all weapons she is proficient in
* Super Power: For Shadow Weapons to also work as Shadow Armor (creating any armor she is proficient in)
Figure this fits the gloomblade Powers. And I love the idea of summoning Weapon/Armor as move actions. Is it as powerful as regeneration? No. Is it more flavorful? Yes.

this makes me wonder, what exactly is a paragraph in regards of the bonuses?
Katherine Dreamborne's background is just a continuous story cut into many parts by inserting blank lines making it more difficult to read.A word count would probably be easier to evaluate.
If I remember my schooling correctly a paragraph is comprised of five to seven sentences and broken up by a tab to indent the paragraph. As such:
-> This is how a paragraph looks. It is a collective part of five or more sentences and usually a complete thought in and of itself. The sentences do not need to be very long but must be proper and bring the point to a conclusion. Think back to your time writing papers in high school or college, that should help. I hope this also helps and doesn't make it more difficult for you.
-> Also, while a paragraph does tend to be self contained for its thought process this does not mean it cannot spill over into a new paragraph! Such as this one here, in which I am talking more on paragraphs which links it to the one above. However the one before can still stand on it's own. So in telling parts of your character's story that need a long description or just happen to be a very long scene, it is fine to break them up into several paragraphs. The best way to do so would be to structure the part of the backstory into three parts, a beginning, middle, and end. Thus making three paragraphs for one part of their life. I do really hope this helps and answers some questions!
My phone doesn't have a tab key, so here it is replaced by the -> sign.

added Davian and the Zigarat to her back story
Davian Dreamspun wrote:Did somebody say 'Desnan Cleric'?!!?!She stood looking at the hippogriff, She was in her smaller form so as not to scare it. The thing was a wonder to look at it really was. Wings of so many colors.
"It told my Sword you found it in a Dream, really?"
Davian gave her a look.
“Deșnă îș ă greăț provîder for her țrue belîeverș”, said Davian in his tell-tale heavily-accented taldane. The varisian cleric stood by the fey creature, giving it appreciated pets, avoiding the half-fiend's glaze.
"Your not still mad at me are you. I told you the Lord of the Ziggurat showed me what she had done. Leading the last group in to get clobbered by his home defenses. And I know your mad at me because I did not tell you I was there on a diplomatic mission. But trust me when the Lord of the Hells tells you to keep it on the quiet, You do just that."
With a stern face, Davian bend down to check Lucid's front hooves for rocks or stone, still avoiding Rosa's eyes.
She took a breath and tried another tack.
"Look I got you all out live, unlike the last lot. If we had kept doing what that nut case of scubas lover wanted we would all be dead, Trust me Lord Momonga would have ended us all. His Dimension his rules, so you should be thanking me."

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
Davian made a sigh of resignation. Baba, call me a fool, but I think she might actually be sorry. The desnan cleric walked around Lucid and met Rosa's eye."“Well, you dîd geț uș ăll ouț of țhăț dâmned zîggurât..no offense..and no pun întended", Davian began. "Ând conșîderîng ăll țhăț hăș hâppened, by holdîng on țo țhîș grudge, țhe only perșon Î’m reălly hurțîng îș myșelf.”
"Î forgîve you, Roșă." The varisian gave the giantess a small smile.

Lidras, on the other hand, had gone in with his own goals in mind. When it became clear that the group was either dead, or following Rosa’s leadership, he left. Without a word the elf vanished. Not out of any anger or ill-feeling, but rather indifference. He had left many an adventuring company to their deaths or rewards, with little thought given either way to those left behind.
And Lidras exits, stage right.

Realized I haven't rolled hitpoints yet...
Hitpoints: 4d10 ⇒ (9, 4, 9, 9) = 31
I have Niche fully updated, but haven't included his Wish or Super-Power, as I'm waiting for wolf to weigh in on those.
Davian Are you going to take the opportunity to add a bit to your story and take a few more boons this time, or do you still plan on being the plucky everyman in a group full of giants?
Simeon
Might go ahead and roll some stats to see what I'll come up with.
5d6 - 1 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 1, 5) - 1 = 15
5d6 - 2 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 6, 3) - 2 = 19
5d6 - 1 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 1, 4) - 1 = 16
5d6 - 1 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 4, 2) - 1 = 12
5d6 - 3 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 3, 5) - 3 = 17
5d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 6, 6) - 1 = 19
Now those are some damn good stats!
GM, how do you feel about tiefling variant abilities? I figure I'll just roll one here and see what it's like.
1d100 ⇒ 41
The ability is 41 "You possess spell resistance equal to 10 + 1/2 your Hit Dice."
That alright?
I'll also roll HD, since I think I'm going to end up going for a shifter.
HD: 4d10 ⇒ (5, 4, 9, 10) = 28

Honesty, I don't think there's anything else I can add to Davian's backstory; I was lucky to have some backstory wit Rosa to stretch it out a little bit. I don't feel like Davian's being left behind. Davian's fortune-blessed template is a great addition to his origins. I mean now, he has a fancy fey hippogrif mount that he didn't have before. That's cool! Despite Davian's simpleness underlies his coolness.
