Torian is waiting to see if our casters can do something to damage or disrupt them before he charges in. If they can, he would charge in after at whatever looked toughest that stood up. If they can't... well, we will see what we do then.

Them here being whatever is radiating the evil, of course.

Isabella has nothing that could help, so she's lingering by the doorway wringing her hands and waiting for someone else to go in first :P

can we tell if they are undead?
Galin comes a bit closer to the group, and whispers, "only one more time before I have a chance to rest unfortunately. Maybe we should observe for a moment."

They detected as evil, so I would assume they're undead.

A safe assumption, especially in light of everything we have seen so far... still...

Torian nods at Galin and Dart, gesturing for both to get into position to attack whatever comes next. After a moment (giving them time to ready whatever actions they would and position themselves to get a sneak attack or AoO as applicable) the paladin braces himself and slams the flat of his axe into his shield twice in rapid succession.

"OI!" he yells into the room, "Eye'm here t' dispense yer reconnin' in th' name o' Torag! Come forth, ye skulkers, 'n' be judged!"

At the noise of Torian's clanging and yelling, the shuffling sound intensifies and some moans are heard from deeper in the room. The shuffling seems to get closer and closer and from around the corner stumbles a rotting human corpse. Its flesh hangs off in places and what remains is yellowed and bulging with what looks like large sickly pustules. It stumbles closer to Torian but can't manage to swing at him before Torian gets a chance to act. At the same time, another one stumbles around the corner to the north and closes with Galin suddenly. Torian can see 2 more just beginning to come around the corners ahead of him behind the first.

Torian and Galin need to make readied action attacks. for this. I'm considering the movement of the zombies and your readied actions the first round of combat.

As the first zombie staggers around the corner, Isabella's first blast of energy hits it and its arm withers and falls off, still twitching on the ground.

After the readied actions, its Dart, Zombies, the party

Galin, I thought you had the mace out to hit anything that got close, my mistake.

Torian hears the hit that Galin takes, the sickening sound of flesh being torn. Ha'f t' finish this 'n' quickly, before the gnome - his mental thought gets interrupted by the flash of light eminating from the gnome. Well, tha' shoul' buy 'im some space... still...

Smiling grimly, the paladin focuses on the zombie in front, bringing a slash upward with his waraxe into the corpse's midsection.

Torian looks over his shoulder and sees just how beat up the gnome is becoming at the hands of his attackers.

"'re ye daft, lad! Ge' back behin' me!"

Reaching out with his shield arm, Torian says a quick prayer.

Torag, this 'ne here may naugh be worshipen ye, but he been keepen' me alive th' las' few days. Please see fit t' mend some o' his wounds 'n' give 'im the sense to take shelter now.

Lay on Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Sweet, 6 HP healed on Galin. Sadly I can only do that once per day.

Feeling the blessing of the dwarf father channel through him, Torian slides as much as possible to allow Galin to slip past while maintaining a barrier between him and the remaining zombie on his side.

"Isabel'a! Get him to th' fountain! Eye'll stall 'em, iffen naugh slay 'em!"

Human INACTIVE

Everything seems to be moving in slow motion. Galin can't retreat; turning his back to the zombies facing him would be suicide. Even if she was able to kill one of them, that would still leave two. Torian may have healed him a little, (and how did he do that she didn't know he could do that?!), but another hit like that and Galin would go down.

She has to keep them from attacking him while he retreats.

"I'm really sorry Torian this is going to hit you too but it's the only idea I have!"

Isabella pulls a scroll out of her pocket. One left for her by Garrett seemingly a lifetime ago. She chants the arcane words and prays. Please let this work, please let this work...

The room in front of her begins to fill with sticky strands.

Casting Web, which will spread in a 20 foot radius from the center of the spell, (marked with a red dot on the map). That will hit all three zombies and Torian, but not Galin, Dart or Isabella. Red rectangles indicate which squares are affected.

Everyone hit by the web must make a Reflex Save (DC13) or be grappled. What I'm banking on here is that zombies don't typically have good reflex saves, and grappled characters can't make attacks of opportunity. Unfortunately Galin will have to move into Torian's square to retreat, which forces him to move into the web, which means he'll have to make an Escape Artist or CMB check (also DC13) to keep moving. Hopefully it works out.

Male | Lay on Hands 1/1 | Stonestrike 1/1 | DR adamantine 1 | Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 2 | AC 19 T 11 FF 18 | HP 30/30 | F +7 R +1 W +5 | Init +1 / +3 (underground) | Perc +2 / +4 (to notice unusual stonework)

"Do it, lass!" Torian shouts back to the sorceress.

As the webbing begins to descend, Torian attempts to avoid it.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Hopefully the zombies have similar luck.

However, between his natural slowness and the distraction of the zombies, he finds himself entangled within it.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

Reflex saves:
Pink Ref save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16
Teal Ref save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15
Red Ref save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7

OK, I rolled for the 2 squeezing zombies, but it doesn't make sense that one of them would be able to pass while being squeezed, so I'm shunting him to the nearest open space, which happens to be farther into the web. So he dodges the sticky webbing, but in doing that, he had to stumble back away from the other one.

One of the zombies near Galin stumbles back, avoiding the webbing but ending up farther away. The other one near to Galen gets stuck to the massive web of sticky strands while the one near Torian is also uneffected.

Conditions for enemies listed in text box on map. Those zombies rolled well...

Well, the only one Galin can reach is the webbed one so I'll redirect that. This is convenient, because that zombie is the only one that Galin would have hit with that attack.

Galin stabs with the short spear at the webbed zombie, impaling it and it slumps in the webs, no longer moving. The ichor from the wound splatters Galin, but it makes no difference. The zombie near Torian takes a swing at the fleeing gnome, but the attack goes wide.
