With the civilians still in the most direct danger from Ipsoth, Chikasa keeps his attention on the ha'an. Gunnz, you should probably dish out off-target instead of flat footed since both Reynold and I can hand out flat-footed at will.
Max looks down at the field and calls out one of the soldiers. YOU EXPECT US TO FACE NATURE'S WRATH... YET HERE IT COMES DOWN UPON YOURSELVES. ASK YOURSELF IF YOUR ACTIONS TRULY HELP YOUR CAUSE.
Knowing Vossi is less inclined to move much closer to the stage, he points out the soldier at the banquet table to the south.
Directing Vossi to move and attack yellow. I don't know if that takes an action. If I still have actions left, I'll use Clever Attack and Get 'em on yellow as well. If I don't have enough actions left to do one or the other, prioritize Vossi's actions over my own.

With a "crunch" you see half of the lifeless corpse of the eco-terrorist with the yellow bandana falling to the ground as the massive jaws of Vossi close!
I will says it's a move action to move Vossi and designate a target for him
Ipsoth react more slowly than his minions, but still he acts quickly to stop the Starfinders to get closer to him.
Who dares! Mother Earth, help your children against the corrupt and the civilize!
He concentrates and calls for the nature around him to defend his cause. It seems that the nature herself hears his plea and tries to catch everyone in her grasp!
Then he draws a small gem.
Those inside the green circle need to make a reflex save DC15 or be entangle.
The vines attempt to wrap around creatures in the area of effect or those that enter the area; such a creature must succeed at a Reflex save or gain the entangled condition. Creatures that successfully save can move as normal, but those that remain in the area must attempt a new save at the end of your turn each round. Creatures moving into the area must attempt a save immediately; failure ends their movement and they become entangled. An entangled creature can break free as a move action with a successful Acrobatics check or DC 15 Strength check. The vines last for a number of rounds equal to your mystic level, and the entire area is difficult terrain while the effect lasts.

GM Ilmakis |

Within two hours, The Conservancy sends backup security from Esowath Nexus to get a handle on the hostage situation. They are grateful for the Starfinders’ quick action against the eco-terrorists, recognizing the expertise of the Starfinder Society despite the setback of the Scoured Stars Incident.
The new arrivals from the Conservancy make Vossi uncomfortable; he nuzzles you and withdraws into the wilds of the Ikal Expanse.
Over the next several weeks, you and your heroics are the talk of several news shows across Castrovel and the Pact Worlds. Several of the hostages saved by you—including the enthusiastic Poshment Jamjet—invite you to parties and social events to show their gratitude.
Well done players!

![]() |

As the proteans keep Ipsoth bound, Chikasa enters the fog and eventually finds his way to the captive ha'an. He pulls his tactical baton out and stands over the terrorist, a look of cold fury in his eyes. "Ya screwed up, son," he says with quiet intensity. "Ya coulda found yerself a way to live the natural life ya wanted, but you had to try an' force it on everyone didn't ya? Well now. yer. gonna. pay." With each of his last words, he jabs the end of his baton into the ha'an's side, not trying to actually do any harm, but certainly not being gentle.
He remains on guard over Ipsoth until the reinforcements arrive, then turns one last time to him and says, "Whatever happens next, you better thank whatever gods you hold to that I'm with the Starfinders now. I don't mind lookin' bad myself, but I don't wanna make them look bad. Just you think on that, son. Don't forget."
Thanks for a great game everyone! Especially our illustrious GM!

Max gives his vocal modulator a quick shift before he attempts to deliver unto Ipsoth a lethal parting blow... to his self-confidence that is.
"You disappoint me Ipsoth... earlier we spoke about distaste for Vossi's captivity... and the sad need for these events... but this event has done more for her health and well-being than you and your 'sons.' You placed her in a worse form of captivity than our hosts ever did... slavery. You used her as a weapon, pushed her into the forefront of your crusade, and nearly got her killed. You and your sons have become that which you had sought to destroy. You can think on that for the long duration of your captivity."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
He turns to the guards and nods. "Book him."

![]() |

Kitkul just shakes its head at Ipsoth. "Ukulam is a place for nature to be. While I don't have an issue with these small outposts on the edge of this continent being here, I can see why some might. But if these outposts bring notice to the importance of keeping this place pristine, it is a small price to pay. You usurping Vossi's freedom was out of line. You attempting to use this gala for your eco-terrorist agenda was out of line. One hopes you spend years in jail, maybe making some kind of widget to allow civilization to advance further...hopefully without damaging the environment."
I had fun with the game. The story was great, the GMing and player interaction awesome. Only downside....a bit of the vehicle combat--so far 3/5 of them I have played in have been ehh (Confirmation was good, and so was the special--the GM figured a way to make it flow well). I think the rules need to be revamped--has ANYBODY looked at the DC's to dodge collisions fore example. Maybe someday they will revamp it.

![]() |

"Finally!" Poppilo sighs with relief as he boards the shuttle to leave Ukulam and eventually Castrovel. He reminds everyone, once again, "You know, there was a reason why I left this planet in the first place. Would you just look at all that greenery?" He shivers as he says this. He just cannot comprehend what Ipsoth is fighting for. Not that it matters 'cos he lost. As expected.
"Phew. Looking forward to some recycled air finally!"
