You can indeed take the shard. It is small enough to carry in a pack.
Vanyan knows that these shards are what the Whispering Tyrant as been using to blow up entire cities. With your bodies attuned to reverse the energy you could goad the Whispering Tyrant into causing the blast and kill him with the reversed positive energy.

Aishe Danior |

Aishe replenishes the bolts in his quiver from his pack as the group heads back to camp to await their next target.
He's happy they found the shard, but he knows what it'll mean in the end. His destruction too. Still, there are worse things than oblivion. An eternity of pain and torture for a start.

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Vanyan thinks about taking the shard, then realizes that it’s probably better off with someone who doesn’t realize that holding it probably means instant death for whomever carries it should it go off, either intentionally or not.
”He *Wank!*, you want to hold this? It’s pretty cool,” Vanyan offers the shard to Atium.

Atium of Varg |

Atium shakes his head at being offered the shard.
That is Aroden's. Iomadae probably has the right to say,' I'll pass' on it first. I'm also not sure how Arazni would feel about it. If she's doing the godly version of PMS'ing, then she might not be happy with me having it. I'd much rather not make her upset. I am a cleric of hers and I'm just getting my legs under me when asking for prayers to be answered and such.
Atium will see if Vinas takes it, and then maybe take it if he doesn't.Twink is right in that Atium is not thinking about dangers like the shield blowing up, he's thinking about worse stuff. Like an undead lich goddess having PMS.

Tessenarin Saved Damage: 5d8 ⇒ (2, 7, 7, 1, 5) = 22 +1 Con Damage
Tessenarin narrowly avoids the disintegration ray enraging the Tyrant further as a bellowing rageful scream fills the air.
With little time to recover Aishe fires several bolts at the nightcrawler. Most bounce off of its thick hide as one manages to pierce it near its eye. Ranged Touch hit, though DR 15.
Vanyan knows this to be a Nghtcrawler Nightshade. Resistant to damage unless it is good aligned and forged in silver.
Although the nightcrawler might appear to be little more than an immense and frightening vermin, with its centipede-like body and numerous glowing eyes, it is actually incredibly intelligent. When not cleansing the deep caverns of life, the nightcrawler spends its time plotting how best to carry out its own private stages of the overall nightshade plan to expunge life from all worlds, conferring with its undead minions and, when necessary, observing living creatures from afar while invisible to learn about hidden enclaves that its depredations might otherwise have missed.
It would be one thing if the nightcrawlers remained in the deep caverns, for these regions are rife with foul life the world is better off without. Yet unfortunately for those who dwell upon the surface, nightcrawlers often crawl up through the tunnels to bring their devastation to the night above. Although they always retreat underground before the first tentative rays of dawn color the eastern skies, they can spread an incredible amount of ruin in the span of a few short hours each night.
A nightcrawler is 60 feet long and weighs 10,000 pounds.

Aishe has DR covered for magic, cold iron, silver, and good, so I should avoid DR. I use Silver Weapon Blanch (link) unless that doesn’t work in your campaign or if there’s something else going on. Also, if he does manage to string two hits together, he has clustered shots so DR only applies once.
Reflex: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (7) + 25 = 32 vs DC 21 for 29hp cold
Will: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (18) + 18 = 36 vs DC 31 for 17hp negative
He 5’ steps a bit further back to avoid AoO’s and opens fire. He prays to Abadar with his penultimate shot for accuracy - as that seems the best way to hit.* He considers dropping deadly aim, but hangs tight for the round - hoping to do better.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 20 + 1 = 24 (PB)

damage: 1d8 + 19 + 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 19 + 1 + (4, 5) = 35 (PB, holy)
Speed Crossbow: 1d20 + 20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 20 + 1 = 31 (PB)
damage: 1d8 + 19 + 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 19 + 1 + (3, 3) = 29 (PB, holy)
* Sharp Shoot (Ex): Resolve attack against touch AC when firing at a target within the first range increment.
As miss after miss piles up, he stares at his crossbow, Now is not the time to fail. He frowns to himself.

Vanyan delays a spot, hoping that either Vinas or Atium will show the baddie something that leads to Vanyan saving his magicks for another foe.

Sounds good Aishe. Added 15 more damage on from the blanch. Only your touch attack hit last round. Same with this round.
@Tessenarin- Keep in mind all positive energy is treated as maximized metamagic. so you heal 39.
Tessenarin heals the chill to his bones as Aishe's bolts continue to bounce off of the nightcrawler as only one manages to find a soft spot.

Trusting his cloak, armor, and faith. Vinas closes in with a desire to smite this thing evident in his war cry:
ATK: 1d20 + 25 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 25 + 2 + 6 = 41 for DMG if hit: 1d8 + 6 + 2 + 40 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 + 40 = 52 and Good: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9
Not sure which song effects are in play.

Atium looks to smash the beastie.
He rushes forward and tries to plant one amazing swing onto the worm.

I think the thing will get an AoO on me. Also raging is at: 26/37

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Seeing the mighty blows rung upon the beast, Vanyan chooses not to act this turn and takes total defense. He notes the wayfinder dust still affecting the creature.
BigWurm takes -4 to attacks for 9 total rounds, no save and "causes the target to shed light as a candle, and it cannot benefit from concealment or any invisibility effects."

Atium leaps in as the worm bites down at him.

Grab vs CMD 41: 1d20 + 41 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 41 - 4 = 44
The worm snaps down and grabs ahold of Atium as his smashes teh beastie in teh eye over and over again. With the wor pinned down Vinas begins to hack through its body as it quickly dies. Its body half emerged from the ground, it will likely take half of a company of knights to remove this carcass.
Out of Combat.
Erga Sweirhall emerges with a couple squads for protection. "Still have a bit of energy?" Erga looks quite wore down. "We found another target. A siege necrocraft that’s devastating Absalom’s own siege weapons. If we can take it out Absalom might stand a chance at defending itself."

Vinas uth Antimanes |

"Plenty of energy, but need a moment. Even the smallest of wounds can haunt a man later if he's not careful." Will LoH if we don't have a wand.

Aishe Danior |

Aishe replenishes his arrows from his pack, ”I’ll do another today.” He nods to Erga.
As they get close to the troublesome problem, this time he’ll pop his graveyard shirt’s protection from evil ability so he’s better protected. So protected, he wades in.
I believe we have plenty of wandage left. Vanyan’s tracking ‘em.

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Vanyan exhales as the wurm only eats most of Atium.
"Yeah, we can handle it. Just need a few minutes to recoup ourselves," Vanyan adds and echoes Vinas. "What is the necrocraft? Does it fly? What reports do you have?"

Atium tries to remove himself from the worms mouth. He slips on the slick tongue, belly flops on the soft cushion of it's inner mouth, and actually slides half way down it's gullet.
Thankfully, it's dead and not using it's neck muscles to push Atium down further to where the nasty stomach juices are.
Atium has to work to get footing, forgoing activating his monkey tail or his winged boots.
I could have made this easier, but I'll be damned if this isn't going to be the longest day of my Ulfen life. I can already feel my gear getting low on Witch energies. My monkeybelt is making my underclothes ride up my ass. I'm getting a wedgie
He waits for Vinas to finish with the wand, and asks for it.
Oh shieldmate, I'm going to turn this thing into ash in order to heal the wounds I have. You'd better ask Twinkletoes what the command word is for the next twig of skin repair is.

Correct, any positive energy from you all atm.
"The necrocraft doesn't appear to be flying. It is a skeletal horror the size of a man called a Gallowdead. It whispers nauseate those around it and it has been shredding through our ranks with numerous spiked chains." Erga explains what it looks like. "The necrocraft is being led around by a deathly looking priest."

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Vanyan marks off 34 charges off the wand, noting that they would need more soon, probably.
Vanyan watches Atium put the wand to use like a gibbering mouther at an orgy. "Yeah, take your time there, Atium, you don't want to get cramps," Vanyan notes while waiting to hear about the next monstrosity, or whatever information might be available.
He will cast another instance of Fire Seeds.

Vanyan nods and is ready to go when others are.
