Menas Red
|
Menas looks around waiting for someone to have a solution, but not wanting to take risk with a brainwashed magic user, will begin to tie Thoriel up for her safety and the rest of the parties. "I hate chains. You should be free to pursue your own way, but you can't find it with this orb giving you commands. Soon you'll be free of the chains and the orb."

He then tosses the orb to Enora knowing that she tends to know a great deal about magical items.
The escape DC would be 47 and the break DC for chains is 26.
Thoriel Liltamael

"Get your hands off me,...this is so rude!" Thoriel tries to wrest the orb back and escape from Menas's grasp.
Thoriel has no way to make that Escape check
GM Gustavef

Protection from Evil will suppress the compulsion. And although not ideal, the orb can be carried without any additional ill effect at this point
Tull Shadde-Quah
|
Tull looks on with concern. "My wayfinder can be used to cast Protection From Evil once per day, but I'm afraid I already used it earlier. Does anyone else have a way to help our poor friend here?"
Jeras van Hidden
|
"Sorry, I don't have anything that can help here."
Thoriel Liltamael
|
"Thank you for that. I feel much better now. Not sure what came over me there." Thoriel adjusts her hair and clothing as she comes out from under the evil effect."Let's ah...let's carry on shall we?"
GM Gustavef

Putting the orb somewhere safe you move though the next hall and find yourself at a Gold Door.
Room 14
The Gold Door opens inward to reveal a long stone chamber instantly recognizable as the entrance chamber! Across the room, the three deans of the Pathfinder Society look down at you from their table at the top of a raised dais, their faces beaming with pride. “You’ve made it!” exclaims Master of Spells Sorrina Westyr, slamming shut her massive book with a smile. She gestures toward the red metal doors that lead outside. “Once you step beyond these doors,” she says, “you leave with the approval of the Society’s leaders. Congratulations!”
Menas Red
|
"I appreciate the challenge, but where did this gauntlet come from? Why does a demon reside there? And what is that evil artifact that controls minds?" Menas says as he unties Thoriel from her chains.

Menas looks a little confused, "Was this a challenge for us or a cleaning service for you? Did we need to defeat a dragon; was the task not simply reaching the golden door?"
GM Gustavef

Not that anything bad will happen...But please place your tokens in the room
Tull Shadde-Quah

Done. Is Tull still enlarged? Or sickened?
With that Sense Motive roll Tull has no doubts about the situation... "I saw no dragon. Perhaps it saw what we did to the others and was afraid and ran away. I am glad we taught it to fear the butterfly!"

To recall the spell. Then you can use it but I had not seen you post that you recalled it but I might be mistaken. :-)
Menas Red

Spells are not "stored" in a pearl of power, the pearl simply refreshes a spell slot of your choice upon use. As a typical magic item, it takes a standard action to use, so is great to use out of combat to refresh some slots before the next encounter.

@Tull it would have been the Marcos beast before Menas grabbed him. Also just went to the source on Chaos Beasts, and not my outside notice. The special attack is technically a curse that has the same mechanics as a poison.

Room 15
The green metal doors open to reveal an irregular chamber dominated by a massive statue of a leering demon. The figure sits cross-legged upon a small dais along the north wall, its clawed hands holding a wide silver plate covered with burning coals. The statue looms nearly twenty feet tall from its seat to the crown of its head, giving the impression of a giant stooping over to fit in a confined space. Four five-foot-wide columns of glowing energy run from the floor to the ceiling, two to either side of the demonic colossus. From right to left, the columns are bright red and orange, brown, white, and blue. Along the wall, twenty-five feet from the double doors you entered, another pair of closed green metal double doors seem to present a potential exit from the room.
Licking flames and subdued heat coming from the red and orange column, chunks of small, sharp rocks flying around within the brown column, and swirling vapor and the smell of ozone coming from the white column. The blue column appears to be composed of fast flowing water, and gives off an acrid smell.
