The strange device around the demon overlord’s neck pulses with angry green light, its vein-like circuitry illuminating the entire chamber. With a thunderous crack and a blinding flash, a wave of crackling energy bursts from the relic, freezing anything it touches in mid-stride. In the span of several heartbeats, the entire room is locked in stasis. As the combatants stand helpless, the room’s features slowly rebuild themselves as though decaying in reverse. Ghostly figures— dwarves, demons, duergar, and more—flit about the room at incredible speeds, sometimes slowing to speak to one another as if playing out brief scenes from an eclectic play. All the while, frozen Pathfinders and demons who were fighting only moments ago begin to wink out of existence. As the chamber reaches its pristine state, duergar apparitions appear fighting dwarven images, and a slain king rises from death to stand before a stone throne. The room brightens as illuminated torches fill once empty sconces, and the immobile Pathfinders begin to move once more.

The king glowers and shouts from his throne as his honor guard level halberds toward you. ”What is this? What devilish trick sullies the throne room of King Gutheran of Jormurdun? Where are the rest of my soldiers? Where are the duergar who invade my citadel?”

Briefly taken aback, Master of Scrolls Kreighton Shaine quickly recovers and asks, ”You are Gutheran the Bold?” The dwarf receives the question and sputters at the elf’s audaciousness. Shaine quickly bows and continues. “Your majesty, forgive our intrusion. Some sorcery has transposed our forms into an alternate configuration in temporal space, which is to say we are seeing your time, or you are seeing ours. I am Kreighton Shaine of the Pathfin—”

Angrily perplexed, the dwarven monarch cuts off the Master of Scrolls’s explanation. ”Speak sense, elf! By Torag’s knucklebones, can no one here tell me what in the seventh hell has happened?”

GMs, please move immediately on to Act 5. You do not need to wait for overseer announcements to move between parts of Act 5.

Kreighton Shaine looks up from his writing and says, “Thank you, your majesty. Pathfinders, I’ve studied our surroundings and can conclude that whatever has shifted our place in time is unstable and cannot last. We have perhaps and hour—maybe two—before it collapses, and when that happens, I think it wise that we not be inside. Make your way back to the Grand Cathedral in a timely fashion. But…” he trails off while gazing at the beautiful throne room. “We can’t ignore this splendid opportunity to explore Jormurdun as it was thousands of years ago! Retrace the steps you took to get here, see what has changed, and document what you see. I’ve been able to record brief instructions based on what I have already learned of your earlier discoveries. Be wise, be brave, and make haste!”

The only options to regain for Amerel are the two different healing options. Since he is only down 1 in each category, he is healed back to full. As for the districts, since Amerel speaks Dwarven, most are applicable, but the Monument District might be best. Unless Amerel's Disable Devise would help with setting the trap in the Miner's District.

I would be most interested in the magicks or divinities active during this time which we are displaced into. Either the temple to see what forgotten gods struck, or the Seer's district to see what form of divination was employed.

While I would love to go to the monument district to learn more of the past and maybe walk away with an artifact, I respect what Zarnel has to say. I would say I am also interested in the seer district so why don't we look into that first... if there is still time though Zarnel, no promises I won't want to double back!

The secrets of the Dweller Below are most intriguing, an opportunity to investigate this mystery seems too good to pass up. Earning favor with Torag can only be good.

The recovery of lost texts in the Seer's district is a worthy one. Certainly if I were a member of the Dark Archives, an irresistible one.

Alas, my faction allegiance to the Scarab Sages compels me to investigate and recover the gems in the Monument district. If I had to choose another option, I would suggest the Temple. "

Let's call it 15 minutes, Xukong. Enora, the staff is not a class ability, so I'll have to say no. Arcane Reservoir, however, is fair play and pretty handy. With Zarnel's vote against Monument I have Temple and Seer tied. We can do Temple, then Seer, then see how y'all feel.

As you approach one of the shrines, you encounter three terrified dwarves in soot-stained robes being threatened by demonic figures, one of the fiends waves a gilded forge hammer as if mocking the captives.

“I defecate on your Torag, little priest! I spit in his eye, I call him a smoky, coal-sucking godling of sweaty tinkerers! Take your holy things, little quaking cleric. Throw this toy in the flames of your sacred forge, break the others on your anvil, and maybe then we shall wait to eat your entrails until after you’re dead!”

The goat-headed creature is a schir demon. Cold iron or good weapons will overcome its damage reduction.

Schirs are immune to disease, electricity, and poison, and resistant to acid, cold, and fire.

The halberd it carries is glistening with spittle, which you know can cause a weakening disease in anyone it strikes.

Schirs are known to be able to see even invisible enemies, and to summon more of their kind into battle.

As he casts the spell an eery red light seems to emanate from his figure, and you notice his voice booms with a louder presence than you would expect from such a small creature.

For each of the tieflings and the schir demon, they take a –1 penalty on attack rolls and a –1 penalty on saving throws against fear effects unless they each make a DC15 will Save. Bane counters and dispels bless. Duration: 3 minutes

The gnome stays where he is after the spell is complete.

Yep the Arcane Reservoir was going to be my back up if I couldn't do my staff. Just figured I would ask since that staff is nice! So to reiterate, I am getting all my 1st level spells back and getting two uses of the Arcane Reservoir back (5/7)

I mentioned which wand was which earlier - I am alluding to infernal healing, which takes 1 round to cast. Since I did show them all to you earlier, maybe you can grab both that wand and the inflict light wounds wands (the latter of which is the "copper wand tipped with a stylized obsidian sunburst" I keep them together by my side almost like a high-class parody of a hedge-witch's sheaf of herbs) this round, use inflict light wounds on me this round, then infernal healing the next.
