Hello.
| Gramm |
Hey all sorry for the delay but I'll be posting in the gameplay thread shortly. Spent the last several days moving into a new house so I missed checking the boards.

I am heading off on vacation to Japan for a week, so I will not be posting much until Thursday the 25th. Take the time to RP, if you'd like!
| Gramm |
Weird. Everytime I try to post it acts as though I pressed preview instead of submit, and it won't let me submit.
Follow-up question: On my end, it looks like the last post submitted was by Kaine on Saturday at 3:51am. Is that accurate?

test roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Not sure whats going on but it seems I can't roll dice on the Gameplay thread. If I continue to run into the issue, I'll roll in the discussion and copy over if that's ok.

Have been crazy busy this weekend. Posting will resume today, provided the site behaves...

Okay, just waiting for some clarification from Dacknar. Then I will check to proceed and bot if necessary.

Posting this to all my games, so sorry if you see it multiple times:
This week both my office and I personally are going to be moving. It's been crazy busy and I am not going to be able to post until Monday at the earliest. Please bot me if I am in your game, and if you are in a game I am running, I will get a post up as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.

After today, will be gone until Christmas! If you celebrate as well, Merry Christmas, if not Happy Holidays!
Thanks, all!

So I am posting from work:
Apologies about not posting sooner, but I have been down internet wise for roughly a week, and will not have internet back up yet for a week or so.
This means that I haven't had internet for the last 4 days (as we had 4 days off at my work for the holiday).
It's been...an experience where I learned that I use the internet more than I thought I did.
With all of that being said, I will try to post from work as I can, but if I am in your game, please bot me as needed.
If I am running your game, please bear with me while I try to post when I can. Hopefully, sooner than better, but I want to be up front about this issue.
again, I apologize about the delay.

No worries! I will bot you as the assassin, and hope that you can contribute when you can! If you get the chance, please update your profile to 2nd level, so I can be accurate in my reference.

I have him levelled up, and I am back!
Reading gameplay thread now.

Just suggestions: Dungeons are hard in PbP, as they require a lot of back and forth.
Perhaps we need a way to deal with dungeon options (read many doors) in a more streamlined way? Every door seems to take a long time to deal with, and several doors just make everything worse.
Unmei would do it IC, but now is not the time, and some of this is perhaps best organized OOC.
What I suggest is that the first character leading the party makes the perception and investigation checks, with advantage if the second character is also proficient with those. If not trap is found and no sound is perceived, then we assume that the door is opened by the lead character.
Currently, Dacknar is first, with Kaine behind. This would mean that Dacknar makes the perception roll, with advantage, while Kaine makes the investigation roll, without advantage.
For multiple doors, the lead character decides on the door. Another way to do this is simply to have the first person posting deciding on the door, which means it's as fast as possible, but removes the decision from the scout. Pros and cons.
Anyways, as I said, these are just suggestions. I'm ok with keeping things as is.

Unmei, thanks for bringing this up. I wasn't sure if it was the doors or the holidays slowing things down. I'm all for giving your idea a try.
For multiple doors maybe it is whoever posts first among the two 'scouts' get to choose the door, but if neither have posted in a day then it can default to whoever posts first from the whole group or the DM chooses randomly via die roll.

It was partially both giving you all a chance to chime in and holiday shenanigans.
What I will need is someone saying that they open the door. You guys can have up to two people making a Perception check for a single door or four for a double-door. Then the person opening the door will need a Stealth check, unless it is a kick the door in-type scenario.
If you want to do something else, chime in and I will try to figure out how to adjudicate.
EDIT: If you guys are cool with Unmei's and Annett's idea, chime in.

Kaine is definitely the type to let someone else go first, but I gave it a day afore posting.
