Talents and Special Powers
City Secrets: You know the secret patterns and flow to cities and can find passages through the urban sprawl that others would miss. When you are not in combat, you (and companions you lead) can travel between any two locations in the city twice as fast as your speed would normally allow.

Blessing of the Trickster: You can use your action to touch a willing creature other than yourself to give it advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks. This blessing lasts for 1 hour or until you use this feature again.

Channel Divinity (1/long rest)
Turn Undead: As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer censuring the undead. Each undead that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 minute or until it takes any damage. A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can’t willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there’s nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.

Invoke Duplicity: As an action, you create a perfect illusion of yourself that lasts for 1 minute, or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell). The illusion appears in an unoccupied space that you can see within 30 feet of you. As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the illusion up to 30 feet to a space you can see, but it must remain within 120 feet of you. For the duration, you can cast spells as though you were in the illusion’s space, but you must use your own senses. Additionally, when both you and your illusion are within 5 feet of a creature that can see the illusion, you have advantage on attack rolls against that creature, given how distracting the illusion is to the target.

Born of a tryst between her Thayan father and an elven woman, Unmei is known on the seedy side of Waterdeep as Mother-Unmei, Mother-Street. A short and small woman in her late fifties, her skin is thin and tanned from the toll of years of sufferings. Her legs are bowed and so his her spine, though she can keep a perfect posture if the role demands it. She hates her hands, which she often cannot disguise, for they betray her real status in life.

Everything, or perhaps most things about Unmei are fabricated lies. Unmei generally disguises herself as ten years older than she really is. She also hides her elven heritage in her every day dealings. Even her early childhood life, growing up on the streets of Waterdeep are a fabrication, for she spent her early years with a loving family in Baldur’s Gate, until her fathers’ former life caught back to him a dreadful night, forcing her mother and her to flee to survive, hiding in the confines of the greatest and most anonymous city of all.

When her mother died, in a way that will forever remain untold, Unmei ended up on the street. She started as a weasel, fitting in impossible spaces, then as a runner, passing messages across town, then as a lookout, then as a cutpurse, then finally as a proper thief. Of course, she’ll never mention her years of prostitution, or how she killed her handler and replaced her, running four younger girls for a year, until she was in turn removed and left for dead. During her years, she gravitated around Mask’s clergy, but kept a safe distance, never trusting them entirely. Through those years, her fortunes have risen to impossible heights, only to dive back to nothing, and every time she signs or hears ‘From Rags to Riches and Back Again” her eyes fill with tears of joy or regret, depending on her mood.

Unmei is probably the oldest urchin in Waterdeep. She is well known on the streets, at least her official personae is, for most days, she assumes other disguises. She is currently infatuated with a young city watchman of twenty years old, if even, but that will not last. It never did. It never will. Settled life is synonym with death.

Also, Unmei loves to drink and smoke too much. No point in holding back. She also has a tendency to refuse any stated limitation, law, or warning, and can’t help but destroy most things she holds dear. Well, that is what she tells herself. The truth is probably that, until recently, she had never found such a thing.

Finally, Unmei has recently found true purpose, for Mask himself has visited her in her dream and given her a vision. Armed with purpose and irresolvable faith, she walks the streets as a newly born, reconsidering the current state of things and her place in it. Her path is clear, for one day, or so Mask promised, she will be the Queen of the Vagabonds.

Campaign Notes:

Lord Nihiloor: Illithid

Urchin lieutenants:
Unmei has a group of three urchins that come by to her soup kitchen on a regular basis. One is a tiefling boy named Squiddly. The other two are human, a chubby boy (Jenks) dressed in robes with a stuffed toy owlbear (Ferdinand), and a girl (Nat) that Unmei comes to find out is deaf. They seem to consider themselves adventurers. Squiddly has a toy bow and arrow set, Nat has a wooden sword, and Jenks has a wand and says that Ferdinand is his familiar. They bring her all kinds of information about the neighbors…

Trollskull Manor Neighbours:
The Bent Nail Talisolvanar “Tally” Fellbranch (male half-elf) A small wooden sign above this shop’s main door is bare except for a large, bent nail sticking out of it. The front room contains displays of ornate wooden furniture, as well as a selection of bows and crossbows. The wall behind the counter is lined with rows of finely carved wooden canes, quarterstaffs, and shields.
Steam and Steel Embric (male fire genasi) and Avi (male water genasi) During daylight hours, smoke and steam billow from the many windows around this indoor forge where metal weapons, armor, and tools are made.

Corellon’s Crown Fala Lefaliir (gender-fluid wood elf) In addition to nonmagical herbal remedies, Fala sells potions of the types listed in the Fala’s Potions table.

Potions
potion of animal friendship - 125 gp
potion of climbing - 50 gp
potion of healing, greater - 250 gp
potion of healing - 50 gp
potion of water breathing - 250 gp
Tiger’s Eye Vincent Trench (male human) This private detective’s business is unremarkable on the outside, its only distinguishing mark an orange-and-black sign featuring a cat’s eyes. The door is locked, and visitors must knock or ring the bell before being let in.

Book Wyrm’s Treasure Rishaal (male gold dragonborn) The front of this bookstore is adorned with a charming sign of a gold dragon curled around a treasure hoard of books and scrolls. Inside, the shop is decorated with beautiful hardwood, and the earthy scent of old books permeates the air. The library fills two floors of this three-story building, and it somehow seems to contain more shelves than the building should be able to hold. There are some spell scrolls that are available for purchase.

During most days, she disguises herself as the faithful worshipper of the Morning Lord, and names herself Amanda, but when she moves back to her quarter, she shifts to a different persona, one more tied to her character. From long flowing blond hair, she shifts to dark and short hair, and dresses in dark leather, looking the part of the brash bravado looking for a fast life, though she seems to have survived this far, named Cassandra. She always does her very best to look as young as possible. A task that requires more work nowadays.
