Being only 3rd level he doesn't have access to Haste as a spell yet, that would be at 5th level. How would using those scrolls work if they were purchased?

You would need to roll a casterlevel check and reach the scroll’s casterlevel +1.

AKA roll 3 or higher on a D20 (90% chance of succes)

Personally I'd go for Glitterdust instead of Scorching Ray.

Damage is nice and all, but making invisible things visible is amazing. Blinding creatures is amazing, not needing an attack roll is amazing. Htiing multiple creatures is amazing.

If you blind stuff, rogues will really like you! :-)

Tool, Masterwork: This well-made item is the perfect tool for the job. It grants a +2 circumstance bonus on a related skill check (if any). Bonuses provided by multiple masterwork items do not stack.

If allowed, Travail would like to purchase masterwork elbow pads and knee pads, to assist him while tumbling (+2 acrobatics against AoO).

Other than that, Travail's going to save up some gp for future purchases and is ready to go.

Oh, you mentioned that you had a stack of boons. If you've got anything useful for a trigger-happy rogue, Travail would be much in your debt.

i should be able to update the character tonight. The first few days of school have been nuts with admin crap trying to change syllabi for AP and other classes which would bring AP classes out of conformity with the College Board.
