I always thought you had to encounter a NPC in the encounter that had the spell you wanted to copy and the NPC has to be willing to allow the PCs to copy. Is that not true?

Well, if you find a spellbook (for instance on a slain enemy), you can scribe from it. A PC in your party can also allow you to scribe from them. Also a friendly NPC might allow you to scribe for free.
But you can always go to the Grand Lodge and find someone there to scribe from for a +50% fee.

I will be changing her SOP next encounter:
Cloudia will maintain a light spell on her spear head when in dim areas though she will not wield it. Instead it sticks up high over her shoulder. She will travel with her wand of MM in one hand and her scroll of bless in the other hand.

I assume you’ve recast mage armor on yourself and mao.

Yes, I'll deduct the charges. This has been an expensive scenario. I've used 360 gp of wand charges so far plus the restorations. I think she may loose money on this one.

At this point, if the things are easy enough to hit, Cloudia will be using acid splash instead of magic missile or an acid flask if there is a decent chance at hitting, or even her spear. This is getting too dang expensive.

Your wand of magic missile will lose most of its usability around level 5, so if its empty by then it should be ok. Also scenarios where resources are so limited (so many encounters on a single day) are scarse.

Cloudia's MM wand was down to 23 charges BEFORE this scenario. I used up 8 already this scenario. The math is not good and I will end up having to purchase another one long before level 5 at this rate.

I know. I really wish he had not rushed off like that and Cloudia could have fed him that displacement potion. Or played dead for a round so that she could have done so while it was distracted.

When a player controls 2 locations, am I right in assuming she gets to pick one and only one of them to run during her initiative?

Remind someone with limited search-fu time here at work how to boost Allied Offensive? :)

...Wait, which power ranger was the hotheaded one that kept almost dying due to rash decision making?
...Cuz I think that's Aurus.
...Man, I need to get that Dragon Disciple natural armor.

Ok, great. So:
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Womp womp :(

I actually played this in non-Core with my Chelaxian aasimar summoning wizard (he's... complicated.). We had a 7-person table, so there weren't enough Gulgamodh parts to go around, so while everyone else is driving this giant juggernaut, my wizard ran behind, summoning lantern archons into the fight.
Really really love this scenario - one of the most memorable ones I think I've ever played in PFS, and I've been around the block a time or two.

Did I ever tell you guys that I pitched this adventure to Tonya and John? :-). The reply I got from them was 1 word: 'Interesting'.
Tonya told me later she and John theorized I had hacked their email server because it fitted so perfectly in the storylines they had plotted out for season 9 and beyond.
It was just a very short 25 word idea and Mikko did an amazing job writing the scenario. How good a job he did became even more clearly while running this for you guys.

And how doctors will schedule you way before they know the doctor will be available and even double book because they are playing the odds as far as cancellations go. Makes you feel like they treat your time as cheap.
