*Quinray, you can use bow in melee, you just take -4 until you get the previously mentioned feat. You also get sneak attack damage on your current attack since enemy is flat footed until they act.

Milo hacks away at the dazed creature while an excited Quinray misses skewering it with his rapier. Ibram strikes back at the creature that wounded him while getting some healing from Kentaur. Tirnel then dazes the creature attacking Ibram. The first creature strikes back at Milo but can't penetrate his stout defenses.

Quinray and Ibram both connect but the Kentaur and Milo find their strikes hindered by the creatures thick hides. Tirnel does not perceive any additional threats.
Tired of being poked by the rapier, the first beast swings back hitting Quinray with its morning star. The other creature misses Ibram.

Milo leads the party down the other passage which is a bit wider than the first and ends in a rather bizarre and dangerous looking doorway that opens into another small room, you don't see anything in the room from the passage but there are definitely areas on each side of the doorway which you cannot view. The doorway itself has several rusty looking blades partially protruding into it on both sides, if the blades don't move, an individual could turn sideways and slide by them without touching them if they were very careful, however it looks like a trap.

perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

DM Darkvision |

Quinray easily disables the device and enters the small room which contains a wooden chest which he determines is not trapped or locked, he opens it to find a longbow, a ring, and breastplate. There are also 200 gold pieces.
After detecting magic and studying the items for about an hour it is determined the items have the following properties:
MW longbow (+4 strength)
Ring of Protection +1
MW dwarven breastplate (+6 AC; +4 Dex Max; -2 armor check) (Damage Reduction 2; Fire Resistance 5; when worn by a dwarf)
It is mid day.

Quinray Quantreant |

Quinray eyes all the good stuff. He thinks that he is not good enough for these items.
They gave me magic. Why do I look for more? That bow is mighty.
Darn, do we have a dwarf...?
Is someone strong enough for the bow?

Tirnel Stargazer |

I propose Milo takes the bow; I'm not sure anyone else could get the full use from it. Clearly Kentaur is suited for the breastplate. Given Quinray's continued willingness to use that rapier I would suggest he take the ring. Let's equip and continue to clear the area, shall we?
Continue to clear C1 and then move on to B1

What do you all think? Ring should go to Tirmel. Maybe help him stay alive. I shall carry on as I always have and will.
Or maybe I should take the ring.

DM Darkvision |

You think you have done a pretty good job of exploring and removing the threats from C1. You spend the rest of the day moving into B1 and exploring. So far B1 is mostly grassy plains with some rolling hills. Elk and deer appear to be plentiful. As the sun begins to set you find a small stream near which it would be beneficial to camp.
Perception checks for night watch.

In the middle of the night, while the moon is high in the sky, Milo sees 4 figures several hundred yards off to the west of the camp. They are marching quickly to the north. It is hard to tell exactly what they are, but they are definitely large, maybe ogres or trolls. He knows from Yegalash's training that attacking 4 trolls or even ogres would be a disaster for his group, so he should remain still and avoid being spotted, hopefully Kentaur won't start with the snoring again.

Milo Keen-Eye |

~the next morning as the party breaks camp~
We should be extra vigilant on today's march. Last night during my watch a group of four large creatures passed by us headed north. Ogres or trolls maybe. Definitely not something we want to tangle with.
