Milo spits a little as the bile rises in the back of his throat. It's OK, I just need to rest for a while and shake it off. I'm just going to lay down here, let me know when we are ready to move on. He softly collapses into his bedroll by the fire and drifts off into an uncomfortable sleep.
| Tirnel Stargazer |
Tirnel examines the spider to see if he knows anything about them and how to help treat Milo.
Knature: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
I think this is the kind of spider that has eight legs...
| DM Darkvision |
Milo's sleep is haunted with feverish dreams of giant spiders when he awakes in the morning his left arm is red and black to just past the elbow and is swollen and hot to the touch. His fever continues and moving about causes a fair amount of pain to his arm. He can travel but it isn't going to be fun. Any sort of combat is going to be excruciating.
In the morning light, Tirnel spots a large red hourglass shape on the underside of the dead spider's abdomen. All he can recall about the spider is the obvious, that it has particularly potent venom.

Awkward at the attention to his wound Milo blusters-Don't worry about me; I've had worse. I remember one time I got stung by a host of wasps. Everything was swollen for a few days but I was OK. Let's go to that fellow in the hut and see if we can make amends. We still need to clear this area.
For the first time the party can remember, Milo starts out the day with no bow in hand.

Quinray and Ibram's devastating attacks and Kentaur's solid hit make short work of the foolish spider.
A short while later, in the early afternoon, the party arrives back at the yurt. Milo's fever has increased and he is becoming increasingly delirious, occasionally calling out for his dead mentor Yegalash. His arm is now swollen and red all the way to the shoulder.

@the yurt
Quinray is showing concern. It is obvious he is no help. Yet he tries.
Quinray asks for help.
He has been bitten by a spider that very poisonous. Can you help?

To Ibram: "Hmmmm, when properly prepared the berries have healing properties. Bring your friend inside and keep him still, the travel has sped the poison through his system, I will prepare the antidote I just hope it is in time to save his arm."
The man moves back inside. Inside the yurt a fire burns in a small stone circle in the center. There is a sleeping mat and blankets on the side away from the entrance. A pair of chairs are set to the left of the entrance. To the right, there are several wooden shelves with many ceramic jars filled with a variety of herbs and other materials. He quickly takes some of the berries and crushes them in a bowl. He adds some of the contents from several of the jars to the bowl and continues to mix it for several minutes. Finally he adds some water to the bowl and then dumps it all into an iron pot that he places in the fire. While the pot heats, he stirs the contents with a wooden spoon and then pulls it from the fire and sprinkles yet another material into the mix. Finally satisfied, he pours a portion of what is now a thick purple liquid into a cup and hands it to Ibram: "Make sure he drinks it all."

Greetings, I am Tirnel Stargazer. Wizard and scholar. Crafter of items arcane and investigator of fey history.
We have been tasked to explore and clear the Stolen Lands of bandits and other menace. I suppose spiders must be added to that list.
You wouldn't have anything planned for dinner would you?
