Once spotted, Pangu takes it upon himself to disable the deadly hazards. However, as soon as he steps onto the log, an arrow streaks from the foliage on the other side of the river and strikes the leonine Pathfinder in the chest, sinking dangerously near his heart. He does not even have time to gather his scattered thoughts before a young crocodile suddenly bursts up from the water and snaps his jaws down onto Pan's leg.
Pangu takes 12 damage and the party is up! I have placed an arrow indicating the path the arrow took, but you still cannot see the sniper.

Wei Ji prepares to fly over the river as Frost proceeds with her plan of an alternate crossing, throwing her grappling hook four times it's usual range with exceptional accuracy. A quick tug, and the rope is secured to a tree on the far side.
(You may use this rope to aid you in swimming the river or in conjunction with the rock nearby to cross via acrobatics. Rope will provide +2 to your check and anyone who helps stabilize it on this side will be able to contribute their aid to your check as you cross)
Pan steps back from the log and draws a potion, downing it quickly as Odo moves in to support. Bacchus flies, searching for the sniper with keen eyes as Quinn moves toward the river, firing on the young crocodile.
But Bacchus must cover much distance before he spots the attacker, hiding behind her expertly crafted hunting blind. Quinn feels confusion through her bond with her feathered friend, as he notices that this two-legs resembles his mistress in several ways. Unfortunately, she had been tracking the hawk as he searched for her and now ruthlessly loosed two arrows in quick succession. Bacchus shrieks in pain as the first strikes his breast, but the second arrow silences his cry and he plummets from the sky, his wings curling inward.
Bacchus had to use two movements to reach a point where he could see her due to the blind. I have placed the sniper on the map, but as the blind gives her total cover, you still cannot see her until you pass it. I'm going to say Bacchus landed on some very soft foliage and therefore suffers no falling damage.
Bacchus Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 -3hp and stable
The crocodile moves toward Odo and makes a weak snapping lunge, but doesn't even come close to connecting with the halfling.

With his extract running, he takes the potion into his mouth and then spits it back into the vial. "I'll save that for later..."
He then returns the potion to it's particular place.
Sadly, I can't drop the potion for fear of breaking it, but it is now active for 7 rounds without using it.

![]() |

The tengu goes whisking across the surface of the water, wings flapping frantically to keep him at 'running' level with the ground on the far bank, then brings up his shield and his cold iron blade, angling the shield in the general direction of where the shot came from at the fallen hawk. There's not enough time to run the triangulation of where that shot came from and the one that hit Pan, though, so it is just a rough guess.
He doesn't taunt, he doesn't shout, Bacchus is good people but needs a real hand right now.

Unfortunately, you do have to pass the swim check. No progress made this round.

Two more arrows fly out from the trees, this time targeting Wei Ji. But even preoccupied with helping his little avian friend, the slayer's defenses protect him. The small croc lunges from the water again, this time sinking his teeth into the halfling knight's arm.

Wei Ji flies to encroach upon the sniper from behind, trying to reason with her. Pangu does his best to seem less beastly, hoping the tengu can put a halt to the hostilities as they wait to see the elf's reaction.
Odo and Frost make their way across the water while Quinn creeps closer to her fallen companion. (Quinn, you have to drop to half speed while using stealth or suffer a penalty, so I moved you back a bit.)
The she-elf regards Wei Ji with cold, black eyes. "Beasts belong in the forest. You do not."
