Ixrul Morcrom |

Corv takes too long to post.
"I will deal with the caster. Once he dies, the alarm goes down. It should be simple enough."
Ixrul looks in one of the windows and teleports inside, past the alarms, and floats slightly above the floor.
He sets his compsognathus on the ground and has it look around for creatures. 30 foot tremorsense, and this is assuming Ixrul doesn't see any creatures in this room.

Corv takes too long to post.
"I will deal with the caster. Once he dies, the alarm goes down. It should be simple enough."
Ixrul, as a skilled caster himself, is aware that spells DO, in fact, have ontological inertia.
I.E. killing a caster does not end the effects of his spells before their normal duration has run its course.
Ixrul Int Check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Ixrul remembers at the last second that an Alarm spell wards an ARE, not just an entrance or egress. Simply teleporting in will not stop the alarm from sounding.

Ixrul Morcrom |

Buffs: Extended Flight 127/140 rounds, Invisibility 58/70 rounds
Also, it's evidently a lot of alarms. So no way past them that doesn't take ages. I could just summon a tiger in there and shift in, triggering the alarms, have it pounce the first thing it sees, and maul it to death.

Ixrul Morcrom |

I don't have a dispel prepared. Sunder can be done once every three rounds, because it's 1/rage so Lucy'll have to cycle, and that only suppresses the effect unless Lucy gets a really good roll.

Ixrul Morcrom |

Ixrul starts casting Summon Monster IV.
"As soon as I finish, I'm going to teleport in and summon this tiger. You lot bust down that door."
"Arron, start breaking into houses that look more well-to-do, but retreat if you're in any real danger. We're not going to risk you against a cleric - or an arcane caster, as this fellow seems to be, if he's casting alarm and arcane lock."

Rynjin |

Just a note, he's got +4 Channel Resistance and a higher Wis than anyone but Sandra.
Ixrul summons his tiger and teleports in (or vice versa)and predictably, the Alarm goes off. The sound of booted feet running towards the lobby fills the halls.
You've got a round before they get here.

Ixrul Morcrom |

Do note, I summoned my tiger WITH me. Not outside. If that cost me part of my turn/my turn while I'm in here, I'm okay with that.
Init: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
Buffs: Buffs: Extended Flight 125/140 rounds, Invisibility 56/70 rounds, Mirror Image (5) 57/70 rounds
I forgot to mention mirror image last time.
Ixrul will stand invisible and still, apart from his tiger.

Is there cover he can get behind? If so, hide behind that.

Rynjin |

The main lobby is a large, open room with six marble columns set symmetrically, each row leading up to a curving staircase to the second floor.
In between the staircases are a pair of desks, with small holes set in front of and around them, circling the area.

Ixrul Morcrom |

Ixrul casts Grease (DC 18) on the stair they're coming down and Shifts behind a pillar.
10/12 shifts remaining.

Ixrul Morcrom |

Come in through the windows. Arcane Locked doors are a pain.

Jrahk Lacertus |

Jrahk climbs through the window and Readies to charge at anyone who looks like a caster. (Holding holy symbols, etc.)

Ixrul Morcrom |

I don't think you can ready a charge.

Jrahk Lacertus |

Ok, I'll just cast Long Arm, go ragelarge, and stand by the foot of the stairs.

Ixrul Morcrom |

You can stand like 10 feet to the side of the foot of the stairs so that they can't see you and to guarantee my tiger has room to pounce.

Jrahk Lacertus |

Rynjin |

A few seconds later, eight men in full plate come tromping down the stairs, along with a man in a Breastplate with the symbol of Abadar emblazoned on the chest, and a man in robes.
4 men and the robed man are on one side, while the holy man is on the other.
The first man to hit the patch of Grease is surprised.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
...But has surprisingly great reflexes. He slips and slides for a moment, and then waves at his companions to stop.
He slowly moves down the stair, and the rest hop over the Grease: or attempt to.
3d20 ⇒ (2, 10, 3) = 15
1d20 ⇒ 20
Two of them slip on the grease and fall the next 20 feet down the stairs.
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 2) = 9
One man, and the holy man jump over the grease with ease.
Current situation: 2 Fighters and the holy man came down the left stairs while 4 Fighters and the robed man came down the right. They are all about 10 feet from the bottom of the stairs. Save the two that fell, who are prone at the foot.
3d20 ⇒ (4, 20, 5) = 29

The holy man speaks.
"Who do you think you are? What kind of person breaks into a temple of all things?"

Ixrul Morcrom |

"Pirates."
The tiger pounces the guy in the breastplate.

Jrahk Lacertus |

Lucy got the +1 initiative ioun stone.

Ixrul Morcrom |

Buy a compsognathus. Staple it to your head. +4 init, as you'll get pretty familiar with anything stapled to your head it no time.

Rynjin |

The tiger runs at the clawed man. It misses its first claw attack, but grabs hod with the second...for only a moment, before sliding off as though the man were a bar of soap, covered in slippery grease.
The bite likewise misses.
Fighter Forts: 4d20 ⇒ (8, 4, 18, 1) = 31
The gagging of three people comes from within the cloud.
"This one likes to play dirty, I see." he says.
He moves up and out of the cloud, flying quickly and moves around until he has a line of sight to Ixrul (based on his last known location).
"I can play dirty too. Your friends are lucky I've only got one of these."
Roll me a Fort save Ixrul. Jrahk's turn.

Ixrul Morcrom |

Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Rynjin |

Ixrul turns into a statue.
...And then abruptly turns back again, remembering his Fort save is one higher.
The Wizard looks disappointed.
Ixrul turns into a fluffy bunny rabbit, and then back again, remembering his Fort save is one higher.
DERP A DERP A DERP FLESH TO STONE IS A 5TH LEVEL SPELL DERP A DERP A DERP <---- me while preparing this guy's spells.

Jrahk, use your 15-ft reach to turn him into paste.

Ixrul Morcrom |

Go for it. He provokes if he tries anything.
Besides, I wanna set up for a haste on the party next round.

Jrahk Lacertus |

Yeah, that.

If Corvette already left, I will go
"You chumps are in for a shock!"
Ace tries to line as many men up as possible, and casts lighting bolt.

Damage: 4d6 + 20 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 4) + 20 = 37
Jrahk slices into the Wizard twice, hard, and he screams in agony.
Jrahk, why is your Hurtful attack dealing so much less damage? it should be the same.
The not Nauseated merc moves out of the cloud, and moves up to attack Jrahk with his Greatsword.
He provokes from you.

Jrahk, don't take the AoO. Save it for the caster - you don't have combat reflexes yet.

Jrahk Lacertus |

Whoops, I mistyped the damage on the Hurtful. Just add 9 to it.
AoO: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19

Ixrul Morcrom |

I ninja posted him to give advice. There was three layers of ninja.

Rynjin |

The last two mercs move in, flanking Jrahk with the other two.
2d20 ⇒ (15, 12) = 27
4d6 + 30 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 3) + 30 = 41
Jrahk, take another 41 damage.
Ace, Jrahk is hurt and you can't roast these dudebros (or, more than one of them) without hitting him. Change action?

Jrahk Lacertus |

One more hit is going to knock me out. Why didn't we bring Sandra?!

Ixrul Morcrom |

We did. We just had Arron stay out.
Also, don't forget your DR.
