Is the War chanter the Blue Gobo near the leader?
Dog in middle of room - Moves up one and then across to attack the blue gob
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Dog at bottom of room supporting Nich moving to due south of the blue gob
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Nicholae moves diagonally up 2 and across 1 to engage the same blue goblin.
Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

[Noon-time, Thistletop, 7th Day After Goblin Raid, Round 5, Thistletop]
Moving back towards the great hall, Ned shows disgust at the notion of trying to reason with these creatures.
Nich and his summoned pack rush to engage the chieftan (NOTE - the goblin in the skull mask is dead. the skull symbol just shows that his HP was brought down below his negative hp threshold).
Jubrayl orders the goblin commando facing him and Hakak to drop his weapon and to kneel.
As if to further the point, Hakak roars a challenge at the same goblin, but his swing misses his target.
Selia runs over to the east door. "It must be barred. I cannot open it."
Lleidr moves back towards the great room as well, readying a spell should the goblins continue to resist.
A total of three goblins pour out of the south-east door into the great hall, one of which is heavily wounded. All of them freeze at the sight of their feared chieftan on the verge of surrender.
Ripnugget motions for his tribesmen to stop, and they freeze in their tracks. "You wish to find a demon lover, yes? Very good. You wish to take the path they did? We can show you."
Nicholae Szabo
All this caused by a Demon Worshipper? For such... I could consider Parley and a treaty - your good will gesture will be the release of any and all prisoners from Sandpoint, INCLUDING that horse. If we can agree on this, a treaty to no longer trouble the people of this area AND information leading to the destruction of a demon worshipper without any interference, then we can cease this combat.
ziltmilt
Ripnugget: The only prisoner IS the horse. I never wanted that thing here in the first place. Please, take it.
You want the demon worshiper? She's yours. (gives directions to staircase you've already located). That's all I know.
Leave your people be, is it? That's easy enough. You've murdered my tribe. How would I ever pose a threat again? We bein' lucky to survive against the other tribes.
Lleidr
Lleidr will keep listening, FoE and Daze both still ready to use. Although he gives the majority of his attention to Ripnugget, he's keeping an eye on the whole room. Although he's not so good at it himself, Arg gives him a little bonus through Alertness (+2), so Lleidr will try a Sense Motive to see how sincere Ripnugget seems.
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) - 1 + 2 = 5
What a gulli-bull.
ziltmilt
Ripnugget: Describe, eh? She's tall, a regular longshanks, right enough, like you. She's blessed by holy power, and has the scarring to prove it. And, one of her hands has been changed, looks like a great claw now. Very pleasing to the eye, for a longshanks.
The goblin chief is giving you a toothy grin, presumably at the memory of this person.
Ripnugget: There! You have all you need from me. Leave my presence, leave my hall, and leave us in peace. I have given all that you've asked, and if you be of a right nature, you will act with honor, humans and ... looking at Hakak otherwise .
Lleidr
Lleidr doesn't have much to add to the negotiations and questions. However, once his companions are finished and heading out, Lleidr will pipe up.
"By the way, I don't know which of you dim haciau talent was trying to do my voice in your little dramatization, but it's a countertenor, not a falsetto. Show some damn pride in your work!"
Nicholae Szabo
I am pretty much dry on spells etc. I have 2 channels left - I can do one now if everyone gathers close but is resting a possibility? I think we are close to getting our arses kicked by whatever bbeg
Nicholae Szabo
So the demon worshipper is on site and down stairs correct?
We need a room and promise of hospitality - we both will lose if you seek to breach such because we will not go into death easily.
Lleidr
"I can scout ahead a bit down the stairs to see what the situation is. Maybe there's a cellar or whatever we can hole up in til everyone's recovered?"
"If we continue to push on from here, though, what about the horse we rescued? I'm not sure how the goblins got it in here through all those briar tunnels, or how we're going to get it back out."
ziltmilt
Sandpoint's only a few miles away. You could be there by mid-afternoon.
Yes, Ripnugget has indicated that your quarry, the demon-worshipper, is somewhere below ground, inside this island.
Ripnugget volunteers in a low growl, the words slithering from yellowed broken teeth, The horse was knocked out, and dragged by many warriors into the courtyard ... So, holy man, you wish a place to spend the night, yes? Yes, we can manage that. Here, you could spend the night atop the tower yonder. No one will bother you, and if you lack faith, post a guard. Atop the tower, you would be out of harm's way.
But, at first light come morning, you leave, right? And, never fight us again?
Lleidr
"Morning? My belly's telling me it's only about noon. How about as part of releasing your prisoner, your men get that horse back outside the briar patch? Without hurting it anymore! I reckon by the time you're done with it, our casters' ll be about done napping and we can get on with our mission. If we're heading underground, it won't matter if it's night or day. And I suppose we should set a guard at the stairs, in case they come up top before we're ready for them."
Nicholae Szabo
Nicholae nods Dawn tomorrow would not be possible Chieftan... let us say sundown tomorrow - the aid with the horse and the tower sounds fine.
From a purely player persepective - A real pity we can't wipe these guys out for their loot as we are still coin 'light' but maybe that demonologist has some money. If we had not had come to terms it would have been a toin coss if we survived
Nicholae Szabo
Yes but I am not sure what we face or if we need to hole up another day after a dungeon delve so sundown tomorrow gives us options - breaching the treaty by accident would be a pain. Not sure how many gobbos left.
Lleidr
OK, so to just make sure, you're going into the tower to rest until sundown, day 8? Right now, it's day 7.
Not to put words in Nich's mouth, but I don't think this is what he meant. I think we're going to take an 8 hour here, the afternoon of the 7th day, and Nich wants to include the possibility of a second rest tomorrow, Day 8, depending on what shape we're in when we come back up.
Assuming that's a correct interpretation of Nich's wishes...before everyone starts resting and whatnot, hopefully all the healer types are going to try to get everyone to full?
Also, as I mentioned before the break, I think it'd be a good idea to set a guard at the stairs down. I don't trust the goblins not to send a warning below. If y'all want Lleidr to sleep to recover his one 1st level spell slot, I can have Arg Stealth and watch, or if y'all want him to stay awake, he can do the guard shift himself.
Nicholae Szabo
[ooc]I meant what Lldeir said - can't the barb and ranger take 4 hr watches? Before sleeping I Chanel 2 x to heal everyone[ooc]
Hakak Bloody Axe

I don't know what Ned might need, but I know I need 8 hours of rest to replenish my rage. It doesn't have to be continues so if I could get another 4 hours before our next encounter that would be fine. I have to go back and check on my specifics, but I'm pretty sure I'm getting really low on rage at this point.

Scratch that I still have 10 rounds of rage so I can do the watch.
ziltmilt
OK, so you're guided to the tower by a pair of cringing, reverent goblin warriors, who disarm themselves and accompany you with a great deal of grovelling. On the map, the tower you're given is located past the eastern door in the courtyard, and is also reached via the SE in the throne room.
The floor of the top story is littered with scattered playing cards, but contains nothing else.
The first few hours crawl by, and Hakak feels edgy at the slightest bird cry or dog's howl. There's few signs of life from the goblin tribe: a lone goblin racing across the rope bridge towards the thistle maze, a trio of laughing goblins coming round the corner of the island fortress with a pair of their hideous goblin dogs, a goblin here and there inspecting various rooms in the fortress. Given the size of the encampment, the place feels more than a little empty.
At this point, you're halfway through your rest period. Anyone doing anything special?
Lleidr
Shoot, I forgot to ask a couple of questions that I don't think will affect anything. The wand Lleidr ended up with got ID'd as a Wand of Shocking Grasp, but I couldn't find any mention of activation word, CL, or charges. Is that something that still needs figuring out? If so, Lleidr would like to cast Detect Magic and make a Spellcraft roll before he settles down for a nap.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Sigh. Yep, that's a magic stick alright.
Also, Selia 1.0 id'd a scroll as having a CL 3 Burning Hands spell on it. We were holding onto it to sell? It cost about 75 gp, so I'm guessing it sells for about 1/2 that? If we aren't going to sell it, how does Selia 2.0 feel about passing it to Lleidr? It's arcane magic, and I think he's still the only one who can use it :D Lleidr can do puppy dog eyes if it'll help.
While he's looking around for the perfect spot to nap, Lleidr will help Hakak collect up the playing cards and almost by second nature...
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
...pocket the ace of hearts, the eight of diamonds, and the three of clubs.
To make things a little more tolerable up here in the tower, Lleidr will cast Breeze, focused on himself, but it should be enough to get some fresh air blowing through and make it more comfortable until we get to sleep.
Lleidr
You little squirt, I looked for those for half my watch, we could have been ambushed over your little joke.
If this was an 80's sit com, now would be the perfect time for Lleidr to turn to the camera with a "what a dickens" grin and shrug before laugh track and freeze for credits scroll as the voice over narrator teases next week's hijinks on the next episode of "Li'l Squirt."
