Most of the tedious parts of running the ship are done when your character s are on "autopilot" so don't worry about things like that. As far as pay goes, you are all played by your Lord's in waterdeep. It is a monthly sum and you can pick up your first pay when you dock in waterdeep. As far as contacting waterdeep goes, Eckhart seems to have a line of communication back to port.

a few questions on crafting: can I take 10? how much time do we have (per day) for crafting while we travle? how do you handle crafting cheap items ( like Dan Bongs (1 sp))(I could make one per hour when taking 10)?

Ok, so before this comes up I need your interpretation on an ability I have access to:

Loci Sentry (Sp): As a standard action, you expend 1 point
of mental focus to set a ward about an area. This area can
have a maximum radius of 10 feet + 5 feet per occultist
level you possess. Whenever a creature enters the area, a
manifestation of your psychic will appears and strikes out
at the intruder. The creature must succeed at a Will save
or be dazed for 1 round. You are immediately aware when
the sentry is activated. The sentry lasts for up to 1 hour per
occultist level you possess, or until triggered. When you
set the sentry, you can set any number of specific creatures
to be immune to the sentry and thus avoid triggering it.

My questions are regarding what happens if I place this over top of one or more enemies. Does this affect all, or only one of them? If only one, which? Does it happen immediately or when one tries to move within the zone?

It would be all enemies.
If you cast it in an area where the enemies already occupy they would not be effected, the ability notes something like as each creature enters the area you become aware. If the creature left and reentered it could be effected.
That is my 2 cents

I actually disagree. As much as I'd like that, I really doubt it. It's almost definitely intended for use against a single opponent, given that it lasts until triggered by whoever first enters it. It's a major oversight that they left out the part I'm questioning about, to be sure, and don't get me wrong - if the gm does rule that it affects multiple foes on activation, I'll be all over that. But I seriously doubt it.

Not sure what those items do, can you provide a link please.
Remember you can add multiple abilities to items for +50%. So if you wanted to add +2 Dex to them it would be +6,000 gp (normally 4,000 gp item).
This math does not account for discounts if you are the crafter.

The boots should pay for the material costs of the belt + 200 gp

I can make you the +1 belt no problem, I believe it will only take one day to craft. I would recommend keeping the boots and just paying me for the new item.

Currently I have 1,000 gp in creation materials set aside. Hal, Being the businessman he is, will create you the belt and let you have it while you pay him back. He will charge you 700 gp the same deal you just offered.

Is it the priests and pirates turn now or are we starting regular initiative?

So ... How do we continue pirate hunting if Umberlee hates us?
I can't see us giving her big enough sacrifice that she forgives us(unless it's clerics of another evil god)
We could try to get the favor of enough gods of travel, weather and nature for save-ish travels.
Or we could upgrade our ship to an airship and become air pirate hunters.

I say drown the pirate captain in the temple of umberlee in place of the boy. This way the evil goddess gets her sacrifice, a little respect, and we will not be targeted as badly.
