"If you want to drive it off via food, only way to do that is if one of you swims off and leads it away. A loud noise would help in stunning it and if we hurt it enough, it will probably leave us alone in that scenario. Either way, these things are persistent, there will be a fight. Maintain your balance, it will attempt to knock us off the boat."
Yamalgo has a harpoon at the ready. The creature hits the boat hard. All of you need to make a reflex save.

Okay, I'm back but posting will be scarce while I'm finishing the semester.
I don't have the results fro Klug but I will move us along.
Yamalgo tosses a harpoon in and hits. The rest of you maintain your balances and attack. Tlugos is the only one who misses as the rest of you connect. Klug is too bobbled to attack and Harn falls completely off the boat.
The beast is now aware that there is prey in the water. Rather than strike the boat, it attacks Harn.
Harn is bit for 12 damage and is grappled.
The boat wasn't hit so you all are stable. Harn is in the water.

Okay no Klug and I PMed him. I will give him until tomorrow but then I must kick him and move us on.
Harn is off the boat. He is between you and the sea monster.
You all wail on the monster. EVERYONE HITS! Even Yamalgo. The beast release Harn and swims off. It took 75% Damage and is in no mood to risk it's life for a meal.
Yamalgo Helps Harn back onto the raft.
"Ye got lucky son. The Gunar would have dragged you to the depths once it had you. Luckily we hurt it enough to drive it off. It's time to move on."
You travel by sea for another 2 days without incident. Finally, you arrive on dry land.
"Okay, We go on foot from here. We still got a ways to go. There is a village up ahead of some Dwellers fairies. They're a friendly people and should give us an idea as to what the layout of the coming roads will be like. We can also get a beast of burden there and whatever you surfacer's need. The fairies trade in gold so if you got any, you should be able to barter with them."
Yamalgo leads on. He follows a broken path along the cracked stoney beach where you docked. It is darker than night and it is enough to put even the darklanders ill at ease. It is also quite hot down here. You are likely near a volcanic zone. Those of you wearing heavy clothing will need to make fort saves DC 12 or take 1d3 nonlethal damage.
Qualifications of Check: If you meet any of these, you are required to make a check. I will need 4 checks in all. or you can shed gear to prevent heat exhaustion.
Any Armor.
Heavy clothing such as robes, cloaks, or heavy cloth.
Medium or heavy encumbrance.
Those of you with any form of fire resistance are immune to the check.

Prestidigitation can chill objects for up to an hour, among other things, so maybe that will help

As you truck on you notice Yamalgo seems to be struggling. He stumbles and wobbles frequently and is constantly taking pulls from his waterskins.
At Xzevrra's question he answers raspily.
"Ugh, it shouldn't be this hot down here. Warm yes but not anywhere near this hot. At any rate, these faries are about the size of creatures you would call gnomes I believe. They have large bug like wings and fly around in their cavern cities. They are generally very friendly and extremely curious. Don't be surprised if they start fawning on you. Do your best to humor them. They get annoyed when people treat them like pests. They go out of their way to make your life miserable if you show signs of disinterest or annoyance and trust me, they are damn mean if you offend them. Even to a degree, dangerous. Just try and humor them."

"Apparently it's warmer down here than normal." She gives a look around. "It is disconcerting though. Unexpected hot spots suddenly appearing are a concern we're to report if discovered." Realizing she may have just given intelligence away, she changes the subject.
"Either way be careful and on the lookout for anything dangerous. The town we are comign upon, it's inhabitants are gnome sized creatures with bug wings. Apparently they'll be annoying, but we need to take it in stride if we hope to make friends with them. Don't treat them as the pests they may well be. A new enemy isn't what we need."

Harn grinned fiercely at Ollivor because of Xzevrra's backhanded compliment.
Turning his attention to her following statement, he said, "As long as they don't attack us, that sounds fine!"

Okay, I was waiting on Xzevrra's post and she made it, moving on.
The road becomes harder as you push on and Yamalgo is having trouble walking as he staggers side to side.
As you push on it gets a bit warmer. Suddenly you here a battle cry from somewhere. For those of you with darkvision can make out figures quickly making their way in your direction. They are still a good 100 feet out but there are a good number from the sound of it.
What you CAN see is the darkfolks are accompanied by fiery unarmed humanoids that are making beeline for you. You do not known exactly how many dark foes there are but there are few four fire humans.
Yamalgo shouts something in aquan and arms himself with a longspear.
"Dundamar incoming! Arm yourselves!"

"Enemies approach, prepare! Dundamar, if anyone knows of them." Xzevrra unsheathes her rapier at the approach, calling out the warning though no louder than Yamalgo. She quickly scans the area, looking for someplace to bottleneck them, hoping to give her allies the advantage.

Klug'Tier |

The Orc, who has been usually quiet grunts fiercely and draws a bottle from his waist and calls to Harn.
"Brother, take this and drink it down. It should improve your strength!"
He grins wickedly as he draws his Falcion.

Harn looked askance at the strange vial of liquid for a moment before taking it.
"Why not? Bottoms up!" Harn said, drinking the infusion. Suddenly, he grew to twice his height, towering over his companions.

Harn Readies an Action. Now that he has reach, he will take a 5-foot step forward and attempt to trip the first opponent that comes within 15 feet.
@ Shanosuke - Harn's Attack mod for Trip is +8 vs. their CMD if you'd like to roll it at the appropriate time. :)
EDIT: Changed the bonus to +8 (I forgot the +1 CMB for being Large).

Did I happen to see anything that we could use to help narrow how they come at us? Or is it pretty open? Specifically looking at something to keep them from encircling us (and maybe help the more 'ranged' variety stay out of melee). If not, ready a rapier attack.

Tlugos backs up to place the front liners before him and give himself some space. Then starts weaving a great tale speaking in draconic, the words empowering the group.

The immdetiate terrain is mostly open, however if you rush ahead and past the attackers, there is a cavern roughly two hundred feet from your position which is 10 feet wide at the skinniest point. The ground is level enough for you to full run if you wish, however, this will require that you run past your attackers provoking AoO.
I'll wait a little longer for Xzevrra and Klug to post their actions then I will move this along.

The flaming humanoids are charging full tilt. Klug chucks ad bomb at the humanoids causing some damage but not quite dropping them.

One attack on Xzevrra and hits for 4 damage + 2 fire damage
The last attacks Yamalgo and hits him.

Okay a quick amendment. Only one fire human reaches Harn. The other is shot by Tlugos and subsequently blown up by Klug. The fire human falls dead but as it does, it explodes in a blast of fire, the creature leaves no body, only a blast mark where it falls.
Important Question, Harn's trip is a readied action? and does he have reach?

@ Shanosuke - Yes, it was a readied action. He currently has reach because Klug's infusion made him Large (Size only, not a reach weapon, so he threatens everything w/in 10').

Xzevrra |

Xzevrra disappears from sight, only to reappear a moment later, attacking one of the creatures from behind.
Swift action to go invisible, move to flank with Yamalgo if possible, standard to attack. Also I had the readied attack above in case it was missed.
