The serpent is an advanced skeletal water orm. It has a grab attack and can normally swallow adventurers whole though the latter part is far less useful. It takes less damage from any weapon that isn't a bludgeoning weapon, is immune to cold and highly resistant to fire. The armored undead is a graveknight. He can let out a 30 foot cone of energy damage. He can bend undead to his will. He can summon a mount as you have already seen. He also has a 30 foot aura that makes it hard to channel positive energy such as healing. Anyone wishing to heal must succeed at a concentration check or fail.
Varda finishes the spirit off utilizing every shot. Nash can take a different action.
Aen hits with three arrows at the bone serpent, doing slightly less damage than normal. Gorn pounds away at the serpent taking out chunks of bone. It continues to thrash about however. Nash is up!

You continue to fly down the river until you reach its gate. The river widens here at the base of a towering mountain cliff that rises well over a thousand feet into the night sky. A seventy foot-wide gorge cuts into the mountainside, and the river pours through this rift, yet passage upriver is blocked by a fortified water gate. A pair of massive doors made of rusting metal bars blocks passage, and anchoring either side of the gate are heavy, thirty-foot-high barbicans. You see a squad of heavily armored tieflings guarding it. They haven't noticed you as of yet.
