Shulme manages to drop another of the sailors as they move away, opening it up for Price and Teon to move into position. Teon let's loose a string of attacks, sinking his teeth into the captain's shoulder and clawing into his abdomen, finding an opening in his breastplate. "Foul abomination, the depths will take you!"
Cain and Odenkirk both board the ship as this occurs. Odenkirk calls out to his men as he does. "Leave not a Talirean alive, men! And prepare to push away."
Price and Shulme both attempt to disrupt the Talirean Captain, an piercing scream ringing out, a small bit of blood coming out of his ears. This he fights away, but looking up at Teon, suddenly starts to cringe in fear. "Nooooo!" The Captain looks ready to run.

Captain Kargeld Odenkirk |

With nearly no emotion, Odenkirk simply swings his greataxe with impressive speed, removing the head of the nearest sailor. The remaining two easily dealt with, it becomes obvious the boat you are on will soon be wreckage at the bottom of the ocean.
"Back to the longships. We're done here." Turning towards Cain, he gives the man a smile. "Not sure how you did that..." he points towards the flaming sphere, "...with just a fire bomb, but impressive."

Cain... |

"What can I say? I'm full of surprises."

King Markadian V |

Odenkirk leaps back across the boat, "Best hurry, she wont' be standing much longer. Going to push off before that fire spreads to us."
In the short time you have, you manage to acquire only a few items. The captain's sword, a finely made blade (Masterwork Longsword) that has seen some use, as well as his signet ring, a shield set with three anchors arranged in a diagonal line. The engraving around the edge identifies his family as Sambryl.
In addition, you collect a 8 shortbows, 8 daggers, 60gp, 115sp, 93cp.
I'm assuming you don't stay around to strip bodies of armor, which is mostly leather besidest he captain.

Cain... |

Acrobatics 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19.
Salvaged gear in-hand, Cain leaps back across the expanding gulf between the ships. Finding a place on the already-crowded hull of the ship is tricky, but after a few minutes, the salvaged gear is stowed. The crested shield, blade, and ring of the fallen captain are given special treatment.
As the ships begin to really separate, Cain looks back. He gives his team's handiwork a half-grin and elbows Price. "Now there's a sight I aint ever seen before... the water. The waves. The flames. Kinda pretty, if ya ask me."
Price, you wanna add the ring to your loot list? I'll note everything else on mine. Jakes, you need a shortbow? :D

Fargo Drinog |

She offers a wayward salute to the wreck with the tip of her bloodied sword, and turns to collect one of the looted shortbows.

Gwyndolin Maulsen |

Gwyn cleans her knives and assumes her normal disguise once more. She runs over how she could have been more effective, and comes to the logical conclusion.
That's in I'm getting a bow.

Price |

Lol. he was talking about the ship-wreck, on the off-chance that i made it sound like he was talking about the ring.
I know. Price was just having a little fun... or maybe she does find burning ships and dying sailors romantic. She's an odd girl. :)

King Markadian V |

Yes, the sentence wasn't quite grammatically correct. There is no shield. The ring's design is a shield with three anchors on it lined diagonally, with the family name around the engraving. Also there should be 8 quivers of arrows as well, 150 arrows between them (they did fire a few).

King Markadian V |

The ship sunk, you all continue on your journey. Seven days aboard the ship, the routine has become simple. Travel the day, sleep at night. The Talirean ship just a break from the monotony.
The next day sees the same continue, an uneventful day. As night begins to fall, Odenkirk calls for a stop. Making towards a small cove where the ships can rest out of sight, suddenly danger erupts on deck, a tidal wave of assaults. At first it seems the ships themselves have overturned. But a moment passes to realize instead the water has came to you, living water on deck, elemental creatures. Splashes from outside tells you they are not alone either.
Surprise action was to move into position. I'm using a slightly different map for this combat than what I have been (have to reinstall maptools and get that going). The creature's outside are tritons, dolphins swim amongst them. Water elementals stride on the deck.

Gwyn strikes at the water creature, attempting to cut something within it's aqueous form. And cut something she must, as the creature calls out, a voice that sounds like a rushing torrent of water escaping what passes for it's lips. Yet the creature still stands as she backs away.
Shulme attempts to follow suit, striking hard with his spear, yet the creature flows around the strike, avoiding the powerful thrust.
One of the tritons, seemingly a leader of sorts, calls out and begins incanting a spell.
One of the elementals surges towards Cain, attempting to force him off the ship, though to little effect and opening him up to the man. (Cain, you may make an AoO against WE10 if you choose)

Fargo summons forth a frog, croaking sulfer and ash as it's horned form emerges from the nether and sends a warped and bloated tongue at the water abomination. Somehow it manages to grasp ahold of the aqueous hostile and pulls it closer, the better to sink it's teeth into.
Meanwhile Odenkirk raises his mighty axe and cleaves one of the creatures over near him in half, sending it's watery form back into the drink. He turns to stare at the next, ready to do the same to it.
The way the creature disappears, seeming for the water to merge with the ocean in a rather unnatural fashion gives form to thought that all of these creatures may well indeed be summoned to this plane.
The tritons begin their assault as well at this point. One of the tritons moves around and fires at Gwyn, using a strangely designed crossbow useful even when wet. His bolt strikes the rogue, inflicting a deep wound to the rogue (11 points of damage). Two of the tritons swim under the boat to rise and take shots at Kalina. They experience less than stellar results, both bolts striking the side of the craft.
Two of them attempt to strike at one of Odenkirk's men, one succeeding in a shot to his side. Another triton attacks a different sailor and gets him into the chest. The man starts to cough up blood, but keeps fighting. One last sailor (OM12) takes two bolts, dropping to the ground bleeding out.

Wow, amazing damage there. :P
Gwyn moves back up to the strange creature and tries to sink her long, slender knives into it, but as she attacks what she hopes is a vital spot, she feels a sharp pain in her back between two of her ribs. The wind is knocked out of her and robs her strike of any real power.
She takes a step back and gasps for air. Her vision blurs. Her eyes water from the pain as she coughs up blood that splatters the deck.
Not good. Not good at all.
And now taking bets on whether the elemental clocks her this round and drops her ;)

Shulme-Silule |

Shulme spares a glance backwards as the crossbow bolt sinks into Gwyn's back. A sharp command in Aklo follows, and the undersea bolt seems to heed the sorcerer's words, slipping painlessly free of the rogue's flesh and clattering to the deck as the wound knits behind it. Meanwhile Shulme returns his attention to the elemental menacing him, fending it off with his spear.
5-foot step and CLW. 6/7 1st level remaining
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Slave of the Spiral |

Didn't see the resolution of Slave's last attack against WE3. Did that get missed in the chaos?
Even though Xanos is holding, Slave should still get an action on his Initiative. He's continuing his assault.
The masked and hooded figure raises his metal bar and savagely brings it down on the living puddle again.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Greatclub: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Xanos |

Xanos continues to wait for the right moment, stepping a little further away from the battle.
Still Readying Counterspell. 5' Adjust to N11
