Dominic grins at the guard. Calistrians had a small habit of toying with their opponents, and he was no different. Stepping back again, he lashes his whip across the man's face.

I assume we couldn't get weapons and such back?
Lucy runs up to where Dominic is toying with his prey.
Quit fooling around Dominic! We need to catch that bastard, and we've wasted enough time with these peasants!
Turning her Ire towards the card, she let's loose on him.
You! Move now you bumbling ignoramus!
Her rabbit hops up behind and hisses in agreed annoyance.

Oh all right. You can have your weapons back, just this once.

Tawner yanks his weapon back from the crowd and hustles towards Teag's direction.
"Lydia, Lucy! Where are you?"

Unless Dom missed, he should have done 5 more damage last round.
Undeterred by Lucy's comment, Dominic again steps back and lashes the guard.

Getting away from the crowd, Tawner sees Dominic engaged with a very in-pious devotee.

Correct he is at -12 hp as the round opens. Now he is at much less.
The guard crashes to the ground as Dominic slams his steel-bladed whip down upon the man's head.
END COMBAT
The people in the crowd look dazed and confused.

![]() |

Dominic flicks his whip, clearing it of the guard's blood. "Dibbler! bring these people some food. Everyone, you all might feel strange. Buy yourselves a sausage. Some food will help clear your heads!"
He looks at the others. "I suggest we find the priest before he causes more trouble. Lucy, perhaps the Maiden would like a word with him?" He moves towards the door, ready to allow her to move inside.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

The door is barred from the opposite side.

"Find another way in." Dominic moves around the building, looking for another door or a window. Along the way, he pulls out his healing wand and uses it on himself.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

After a few minutes of searching Tawner and Dominic return empty handed.
What are other folks doing?

![]() |

I'm a little fuzzy on what there is to do.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Currently, some of the party are trying to figure out where Teag got to with his bedazzled rod.

![]() |

Stepping out from behind the house in her black maiden persona, the black maiden stalks towards the empty handed team members.
HOW COULD YOU LET HIM ESCAPE?!
She stops and breathes deeply.
Nevermind. That's not important. FINDING him is. Do we have any way to track him?

The World's Most Interesting GM |

No (non-party) magical auras present.
Dominic Wis: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Lydia Wis: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Fomalhaut Wis: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Tawner Wis: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
guard Con: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (1) - 3 = -2
guard Con: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (6) - 4 = 2
guard Con: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (12) - 5 = 7
guard Con: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (8) - 6 = 2
guard Con: 1d20 - 7 ⇒ (18) - 7 = 11
Fomalhaut and Lydia are clever enough to realize there are other ways of finding Teag other than tracking. For instance they could try to deduce where he might have gone based upon what they know about the situation or they could simply take advantage of the fact that whole town is present and ask if anyone knows where the "mayor" might have gone.

The Hallimir's aid the first person they accost faints dead away after submissively wetting themselves. All the people in the area however point and say that they saw Teag head toward the north gate.
Teag's trail leads to the stable house next to the north gate the party entered the day before. The stable doors are open and a Dibbler's carriage sits ready to roll. Usually loaded with party members it is now loaded with furniture, pieces of art and sacks and sacks of smaller items. Teag himself, wrapped in magical light, is attempting to jam a full-size gilt harp into one of the carriage doors. Upon seeing the party approach he tries the rod on them one more time before giving up, and tossing it aside. Instead he unfurls a scroll with one hand and a clutches a wavy knife in the other.

Now, when I carve your flesh from your bones, would you like to be made into a decorative lampshade? Or perhaps some boots?

"Nice mask. It might go well with this hat..." Fomalhaut intones menacingly as his 'face' fluctuates into a darker-colored mockery of Teag's mask.

Teag dramatically intones the words written upon the unfurled scroll.
And laughs as the ground beneath the Black Maiden suddenly becomes as slick as ice!
"The game has just begun!"
