I'd prefer five people instead of six, but it doesn't matter to me. We haven't got very far in five months, so adding another person should be pretty easy, I'd think.
Five is okay by me. Why don't we keep going with this group, and if we discover we're not doing as well in combats as we'd hope or we come up with some other reason why an additional player would be a good thing, we can revisit. Sound good?

I concur with the two of you. If we do need an extra combatant, I have a friend I could probably cajole into joining us. He was planning on joining a different PbP over here I was in, but it ended up petering out before he could post.

I'm having fun playing him as a goofball who means well, but I want to be sure it's fun for everyone.
I'm ambivalent towards adding another player. I'm sorry to lose Fulko, of course. But, full casters can fill an astonishing number of roles. And we have a Cleric and two wizards. A combination of summons, enchant, crowd-control, and save-or-suck spells can work equally effectively to direct damage (which, surprisingly, is the thing casters are worst at...).
Also, I like Nicat. He makes Ilya look calm and well-reasoned... =)

I'm in a good news/bad news situation...
The good news is that a week from Saturday, I will be getting married to a wonderful woman!
The bad news is that I've had to work about 220 hours in the last two weeks, getting my assistants and staff ready for me to be absent while I'm on vacation. I'm staring down the barrel of another murderous 10 days before leaving for the rehearsal (at which point, I will not return until after the honeymoon).
Today promises to be the only day I'll have off until then, and even still it is chocked full of preparations I have to make leading up to the big day, and beyond. When I return, I am likely to have a massive load of work catching up. And now there's word coming down to me that one of my assistants may be promoted by month's end (which is great! just bad timing...).
The short version is that October is going be a massive mash-up of exhausting goodness, that probably won't be sorted and settled until well into November...
When I joined this game, all of this seemed so far down the road. And in truth, I was apparently quite naive about how much work was involved. But, I don't really see how I can sustain any reasonable rate of posting, or even consistently check in to follow the thread, right now. I definitely don't want to be the thing dragging the game to a standstill.
I'm very sorry. But, I think I need to withdraw from the game. I hope you all know how much I've enjoyed playing Ilya and gaming with you all.

Do you think you'll still be buried under so much stuff to do once the mad month or so is over, and you're settled down in marital bliss? Because a month isn't that long over the course of a PbP aiming to run through a whole Adventure Path. If you think you might have the time to re-join us after it life calms down a bit, I'd be willing to help bot Ilya as needed to get us through your absence.
He's a great character and you play him very cleverly and entertainingly, so if there's a way we can make it work for you to stay, that would be great.
If that doesn't seem possible, best of luck to you in work and marriage (though not necessarily in that order) and I hope to run into you around the boards some time.

Sorry about not posting. First, Sylvia didn't really have anything to add to the conversation. Seemed like it was aimed primarily at Eostre, and I didn't feel like it'd be worth it to just add some flavor posts for Sylvia. Then I got super sick and could barely get out of bed the last few days. Please forgive me!
