Its instances like this that really make me happy to be roleplaying someone as Nameless. There's littlee doubt that if he wanted to, if he really, really wanted to. He could put some serious hurt down on this Nightshade in just a single round, if not kill them outright, potentially in a second attack...
But, that's out of character knowledge. In character, they don't yet know just how powerful he actually is. Sure, he made the Balor run away from just being there. But no one knows just how powerful Nameless actually is.
Which itself has quite a few roleplaying opportunities. Especially when combined with Nameless'... rather selfish morality. He engages only in what he deems to be 'interesting' or even 'entertaining'. Which the group, through no talent of their own, have done so. So he's travelling with them. But this Nightshade zealot, appearing above the city with a giant floating city, shouting about how he's going to inflict death and destruction on the city for its sins... is just so rote and routine for him, that he can't be asked to lift a finger to attack it unless absolutely necessary, and I can't wait to see how the rest of the party will grow to interact with such an indifferent view point.
Okay, so. I don’t know how many people will care about this, or how many people will actually try and help me if they do. But I feel like this is something that I got to post about, especially as we are all RPer here.
Yesterday night. My Mythweavers account, Tempestfury, was permanently banned from Mythweavers for the reasoning of ‘Refusal to comply with staff direction’. However, this is quite frankly incorrect. Whilst yes, my language whilst talking to the Admin was aggressive and rude, at no point did I refuse to comply with staff direction. In fact, I had twice started that I respect the fact that I had recently received a penalty for breaking the rules, even if disagreed with the reasoning behind the penalty. All that happened, was that when the Admin has bluntly informed me that my actions were not just against the rules of the site themselves, but straight out illegal, I naturally sought clarification/their reasoning for why my action was illegal. Then, when their reply was a 60-page legal document covering the USA Digital Copyright Law, I correctly pointed out that this does not give me the clarification/reasoning I seek, they responded by banning me.
It is not just the fact that they have banned me for incorrect, unjust and unfair reasons however. But despite the fact that their rules specifically state that they ‘prefer to solve problems through civilized discussion’, I have been completely and utterly stonewalled when I had attempted to make my objections known, with my posts and objections deleted so that no one else may see my objections. First when I made a second account of Mythweavers, which, I admit. Is against the rules, and then when I had joined the Discord server that they have in order to raise my complaintents. Quite frankly, this response, despite the fact that I am been nothing but polite and formal, is not simply a personal insult to myself, but to every single member of Mythweavers who trust in the judgement and civility of the Administrators and Moderators of the website.
Because of this, I have a request to make: Go to Administrator Colin of the Mythweavers website, and send him objecting to both the fact that I am been banned in such an unfair and unjust manner, as well as the fact that my attempts to reach out to the Mythweavers Administrators for civil discussion has been stonewalled, in complete and utter contrast to their own rules. Being that you do not have a 1 day old account, likely have different ISPs to what my computers have, and potentially have made several other posts on the website. There is no reason, nor is there any justification for the the Administrators to respond by banning you as well, or even giving you a penalty as you are not breaking any of the rules of the website.
And if you do get banned from Mythweavers... then they have proven that do not deserve the amount of attention they get from the RPG community as a whole. And you won’t lose access to your sheets either.
I deleted Discord awhile ago, it was seriously slowing down my computer and when I realized there was no easy built in way to uninstall it I was like F U.

I have never used the site myself, so I could be completely off base here, but I'm guessing that something happened to make them worry about breaking copyright law, so they probably went more heavily handed to prevent their site from being sued for copyright infringement, as well as facilitation.
As I mentioned, I do not use the website, but I could see using them if I was playing in games on multiple forums and wanted to have my character sheets accessible in one spot.

They had already punished me for putting down a link to a read-only file that I had brought from Dreamscarred Pass with my own money. And the I know they would eeeeer on the side of caution, so I didn't dispute this punishment.
The fact that they banned me because I was seeking clarification as to why my actions were outright illegal is completely unjustifiable. As is the complete and utter refusal to discuss this in a civilized manner, despite stating they prefer to do so in their rules.

Thinking about it, I would really prefer if we kept outside drama out of this game thread Fury. I don't want my players to feel pressured to get involved in a conflict that has nothing to do with this game. I would ask that you move this to private messages with any close friends you have among the players in this game.

I'm just... a little tectchy about this situation, so sorry - to everyone here - for losing my temper.
Hmmm, well I have been thinking about how to respond to this and I figure being honest is the best policy. You make me really uncomfortable with your outbursts sometimes Fury. Your normal manner can be unpleasant for me sometimes as you sometimes are rather standoffish and rude but going on a profanity laden tirade in what seems to be a response to my rather reasonable request is going a bit too far.
I appreciate you apologized but I just spent more of the last day thinking about how to deal with this then spending time working on the story, which isn't really how I'd like to be spending my game time.
I'm not sure if you are just having a hard time in life right now or if this is just your personality, but I need you to be more civil in your approach to issues you are having.
I've had a semi rough couple of days, with a pair of doctor's appointments that involved a fair amount of poking and prodding. Nothing serious, I don't think, but they did wear me out.
Should be gettin back into things today.
Also, I am still waiting on VK. I can move the scene forward, but I don't wanna do too much without him, unless Yasss has a good suggestion on how to make sure he doesn't get left behind.

I will see this campaign to it's end. I know I sound like a broken record, but this awesomely imaginative campaign is amazing, and I will leave it kicking and screaming!
As an aside, if Zaidel survives his battle, he will have some choice words for the amazing and uncooperative Nameless.

Yeah, I'm still here too, sorry I haven't been posting, my life is a busy mess right now. My sister's husband left her and then more recently she lost her job so she's needed a lot of help with her giant clan of kids.
I'm here for the long haul too, this might just be one of those really slow games for awhile.

Something for the DMs to think about. Are you planning on keeping the party low due to the loss of other players or will their be another recruitment down the road? I initially thought about proposing multiple characters for his campaign, but that might cheapen my ultimate wish-fulfillment experience with Zaidel. After this battle, will the pcs find the bodies of their party members among the dead? Will their be another 'break-out' from Earth?
Some concepts to mull over.
Bage was shunted off to a prison. I didn't want to kill him outright, in case he can come back. His post seemed to indicate that could be a possibility, even if its several months from now.
I, personally, will not kill off the other PCs, unless Yasss gives me permission. If our Queen of Yes decides to kill them in her(not presuming gender here, just rolling with the Queen title) posts, I'm ok with that.
I asked about new players as well. We're down to 5 atm, which is half of what we started with. I would like to at least get up to about 7, unless Yasss thinks we're good with 5.
Course, part of my desire for new players is to see what they would come up with, lol
My only hesitancy in recruiting new players right now is the real slow posting rate I have going, like once a month =/ But I see this as as much your guys game as mine so if you are willing to handle the recruitment and main GMing responsibilities for possibly a good long while I am down.
If you want Monkeygod I can even make you official GM and give the threads to you, while just adding stuff and running my main story as a guest GM when I have time.
This world is infinite in it's variety and possibilities so there is plenty of room for me to run my 'main story' as an occasional thing while other main stories and side adventures run. I'm pretty good at weaving my story into current events whatever they are without being disruptive or stifling creativity.
At least currently I'm stuck in the situation I am stuck in but I'm open to doing whatever we as a group would like with this game.
Thing is I really, really, really want to see this game through till at least the conclusion of my main story, a conclusion that is still really far off.
I love you guys; you're excellent players and very creative and entertaining, I have a blast when we are moving apace.
