I've been working on a small thing that could potentially tie into the main plot.
It's to do with a
apocalypticdangerous custom creature that's attracted to relic that's tearing its way (litteraly) across the world to get to all of us and devour the key. The thing I'm contemplating is probably a good bit tougher than some of the hardest monsters in the bestiary, the plan though is that the PC's encounter it within a heavily populated area and have to keep it from obliterating the entire populace.Lot's of preparation, lots of people being initially mad at the PC's for bringing what would essentially be an apocalyptic down upon them. Then lots of amazment when it's finally defeated.
Also, Yasss, would you be interested in making a character for when we run stuff?
Yeah, that sounds like a good adventure for the party! If we could start it soon it would certainly give me time for my arm to heal.
Regarding my own character that would be fun but I will also be running the NPCs I introduced that travel with the party so those are kinda characters, or at least that's my original intention.

Forgot to reply to Yasss' question from the other day:
While I am not currently up for running a full plot for all the PCs, I could either run a small side quest for a few PCs, *OR*, I could narrate a scene for Liriiestil, and any PCs who go with him.
This would be after our foray into the city.
We can schedule this too, sounds fun. =)

Heel up soon Yasss!!
Also, please don't neglect your Diablo II thread!!

Interlude; Saren
That's a relief. Now maybe we can get some research and/or shopping in at Al'Lammar.

Liriiestil |

Awww,
I was hoping for some demon cleansing, before the exploring, researching and downtime :(

It's ok, I'm still having a blast. This is by far one of my most favorite games I've ever played in my 20+ years as a gamer.
Amazing plot/story, fun characters with awesome and unique personalities/backgrounds/powers(both PC and NPC) and some really great *players*!!!

Yasss Queen |

I had thought we where all walking along together.
Yeah, the set up I used here was that you guys are walking and talking on your way to Al'Lamar until you reach the gates when you want to after you are done talking and Nameless has completed his intro.
It's a pretty wishy washy section, Monkeygod is right from the point of view of actual narrated movement but over all the scene is just travelogueing until you guys are done.

Liriiestil |

Hahaha, thanks!! I'm not sure if I'll be actually ready to run stuff for the PCs just yet, but I can definitely get an intro post up, likely tomorrow!!

Liriiestil |

Yasss,
Nother PM.
Hopefully this will get fixed soon, and I won't need to keep posting that I've messaged you.

I like this. You guys will kinda be David Greenwalts to Yass's Joss Whedon, penning season fillers to add flair to the overall vision!

The road to Al'Lamar is very easy travel, the weather fine and the road well maintained. You can see the curtain wall well before you reach the city gate and its size and solidity impress upon you the defensive nature of the city's build. To live behind that one would likely feel quite safe but you wonder at just how much such a wall would also isolate a person from the world outside.
The city's huge main gate is shut and the smaller man sized entrance is heavily guarded by plate armored soldiers who appear to be turning away a decently sized line of travelers.
Some of the travelers have apparently decided not to turn back and to just wait until they can enter so a makeshift camp has been set up nearby where many gather around a fire to talk and laugh and eat.
The smell of cooking chicken fills the air and the rumble of good natured laughter echos off the towering walls.
Absolutely, completely forgot about this post. For those of you who may have forgotten, like I did, here it is! Thanks for the quick response, Yass!
I'm going to move ahead, assuming we reach the gates- either by spell or by walking. Alyssa doesn't really care either way.

Bleh, getting slammed in RL right now, I think I might have to slow the game down quite a bit for awhile, I hope you guys don't mind and we don't lose anyone during the slowness.
Sad reacts only :(
I'll still be here. I love this game too much to leave.

Same here.

Joking aside the Church of the Sleeping Goddess and her Sacred Assassins really will make things better if their mission succeeds and the following revolution goes well. This entire situation is designed to be deliberately ambiguous though, as the people are ignorant and live under death threat for disobeying but are otherwise well taken care of.
Obviously liberation would help, but are assassins the answer? And just how bloody could things get before they get better?
The PCs have complete freedom to do what they like, so whether or not to get involved one way or another is up to them.

Oh, this could get fun. I'm really glad I built Lir the way I did, and I'm looking forward to possibly getting to do some neat stuff before this scene is over.

Yasss Queen |

Pity I decided to have Nameless gather information about what's happening from those outside instead of heading in right away...
Am I gonna get anything from his Gather Info check Yasss?
Yes, I just haven't had time to type out any long posts recently.
Part of the reason I've been delaying going to the Inn for a bit too.

Yasss Queen |

Actually I'm afraid I must take a straight up break for awhile, in addition to my schedule right now my sisters husband just left her so there is a bunch of drama with that going on.
However I am not ending the game or disappearing, I've put way too much creative effort into this game and I love the players so I'm definitely seeing the game through till the end, just need a break during the current hectic times.
Monkeygod has an adventure to run for the group as well when he is ready, though that might not happen till after the break depending on how he feels, so there is plenty in the works right now.
Either way I am not vanishing, I just can't put the normal amount of effort into the quality of the game currently, so aside from short posts, I'm on break for awhile.

Liriiestil |

If we can wrap up this specific conversation, I have something that should be able to hold us over for at least a little while(Unsure just how long, we'll see).

Liriiestil |

Where teh heck is everybody?? :( I don't think it's ever been this quiet in game play

Zaidel Michigan |

My thoughts exactly.

Liriiestil |

We're all sad that Yass is temporarily leaving- I'll get something up tonight!
But apparently not excited for me to take over :(

Matsuhiko Kei |

The problem, as I see it, is that we didn't all move into the city at the same time. Liriiestil led a small group in, but the rest of us were outside. Then I started talking to the guards, who explained the situation. Basically, I think we're stuck outside (unless Yass tells me otherwise).

Liriiestil |

Yea, I've been under that assumption as well.
I was going to start my stuff once the convo ended, but since Alyssa decided to dead that, and take us inside to some random tavern, I guess I'll need to re-think how to begin.

Yasss Queen |

I'm sorry guys I didn't mean to leave you hanging, what can I do to smooth the transition? Sorry about not posting about the inn or info.
I don't know how long this break will last but I'll be following along and posting as much as I can.
While I really hope you will all stay and enjoy Monkeygod's adventure if any players drop out I'll give you a PM when I am back to invite you to join back up.
