Caladwhen grimaces slightly as Grumblejack pushes the bench aside, making a considerable amount of noise. Shooting an icy glare in the Ogre's direction, Cala curses under her breath in elven:

Elven:
"That noisy lout is going to blow our cover."

Moving into the mess hall, Cala takes a south east position from Aerent and Grumblejack, and focuses on the door on the east wall.

Moving from Y34 to V28, and delaying.

If it appears as though one might get a horn blast off alerting the others, Cala may have to drop fear on him as a last resort, which will cause him to flee giving both Jack and Aerent an attack of opportunity. I think it's important to save the Sleep spell for now.

Aerent, I like the way you think lol

Talon will silently approach the doorway, nodding to let the others know it went well. Trusting them to be able to handle the approaching guards, he turns to Arryn and quietly says "Want to see what kind of loot they have under lock and key?"

Dark Archive

Male Humong Propmaster 13 / Meatgrinder 7

awesome map indeed Cala, however there's technically one guard too many in the hallway. But I think Aerent thought of an adequate if messy solution. Allow me to fudge a critical hit.

As the guards head for R27, one of them says :"you know... if we need to open another bottle, why not take one from the Sarge's closet? You know, the ones he always 'hides' there? After all, I got the keys" dangle, dangle, "right here..."

Guard1 enters R27. Guard2 is in R26

Grumblejack's enormous grin threatens to topple his face over backwards. In one huge arc of his massive left arm, he thrusts his hand out into the hallway. The tremendous power behind the fist makes it go straight through the first guard's face, spraying the doorway with what looks an awful lot like chef's special. The fist loses some momentum but still connects forcibly with the second guard, cracking his nose.

Aerent, the 2nd guard is within your reach.

Arryn:
I count 8 dead guards; and if Aerent hits, that will most likely become 9. would you please roll d20's until you get 9 unique numbers? I'll post the loot from those footlockers in a separate spoiler.

1. Empty; this newly hired guard hasn’t stocked his chest yet.
2. A change of peasant clothes.
3. Ink, quill and a personal journal that reveals this week’s password “Ghastenhall” – and the details of Blackerly’s illicit gambling sessions including exactly when the next game will be.

10. A large collection of letters from home. Perhaps they are poignant but they are also worthless.
11. A masterwork lute (worth 100 gp).
12. A small supply of absolutely delicious cookies carefully wrapped in wax paper labeled ‘From Lil.’
13. A whetstone, cleaning supplies for chain shirt, extra bowstring, and a small book of military regulations.

Moving a short distance to get a better line of sight, Caladwhen notices the second guard is still alive. Closing her eyes and lifting her left hand towards the doorway, the room suddenly feels as though the light is being sapped away while the elf begins whispering a dark arcane language.

To the guard, Caladwhen's voice appears to be whispering to him from all angles, her strange verbal incantations repeat and echo all about him, finally culminating in one exclamation he can understand... "Run for you life!"

Moving to R29 and casting Cause Fear Will DC 17 on the remaining Guard.

Ignitable oil if there's any. Anything else that would help start a fire like flint and steel, matches, etc. would be good. Also taking out the iron rations and putting them on the table for later then get out some raw meat for Grumblejack and bread for me. Cheese. Oh, and definitely alcohol. Belladonna or any other poisonous/medicinal herbs would be good. What ever did happen to that large number of tea Arryn made? And I still have that flask of possibly pure alcohol, yes?

The cupboards are all marked with their contents, so it's very easy to find most of what you're looking for.
There's a couple of full packets of matches. Iron rations, some large hams, bread, cheese, some wine. There's even a couple of baskets stacked in a corner. If the rest of the prison were as organized as the kitchen, you wouldn't have stood a chance.

AFAIK, the belladonna tea is still in the large pan (with the lid on, for your safety) on the stove.

There's no flammable oil here though - stuff like that is probably in the storeroom (13). You do indeed still have the hip flask of blight.

Talon, it's fine if you want to take two move actions and draw your sword in the process. RAW say 'If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you may draw a weapon as a free action combined with a regular move' and you qualify. I'm going to assume you move 2x30ft, 12 squares, and end up in V32, in plain sight of the the guards threatening to kill Sindran and Caladwhen.

We'll sneak in Arryn's action later; technically she's first.
