I just noticed what the special favored class bonus for Shabti Oracles is here on the PFSRD.

I'm going to be using that from now on if that's okay. It fits really well with my "psychic searcher" archetype.

Actually, if it's all right with you, I'd like to retcon my FCB from 1st level. I chose an extra skill rank but I'm fairly sure I haven't made any Knowledge (arcana) checks at all this game. Or Profession (herbalist) or Knowledge (nobility) or Knowledge (history) for that matter.

Let me know if that is okay. If it's not then it's no big deal.

In light of people changing up things as a result of leveling up, I want to raise another actuarial issue --

I want to make sure that everyone re-checks their point-buys for their characters as it seems a couple of players are off the established allotment.

If that's you -- please made revisions to your stat blocks now, and I take into account that I could be mistaken with my math but please EVERYONE in discussion thread post your point buys and how you came to do your math.

We'll make adjustments as needed, but no retconning with be necessary.

Because Ryker has the sneak attack ability, it is particularly important for him to be able to tumble past people. So my vote would be for Ryker to get this.

I have no particular suggestions about the rest of the treasure; I don't need any of it. Azul's Rondelero fighting style specifically requires a buckler shield, so he wouldn't want the light shield, and his DEX is pathetically low so he won't want the crossbow bolts either (even if he had a crossbow, which he doesn't).

*Face palm* Thank you Azul, we most certainly know who that wedding ring belongs to! Haha my bad!

The boots are the only thing I'd care to have. The crossbow bolts will be useful to have around IMO since having more sources of fire damage could eventually prove useful. We did see a freaking troll already.

Yea, I have no real interest in any of the gear. The boots are obviously useful to pretty much everyone but I agree that Ryker could make the "most" mechanical use out of them.

Picking up a crossbow would be probably a good idea to use them...or hold them and use them coup de grace style like Ilamin did. But Ilamin would be useless with them as he won't be getting precise shot...perhaps ever?

Are we all comfortable with the "give the item to who can use it" approach? I'm ok with it, but if we go that route, I propose that every couple of levels we do some sort of inventory to make sure someone isn't getting left in the dust as far as wealth/loot. They could easily be compensated with a larger share of the gold.

I'm not expecting perfect equality or anything, but IME AP's tend to favor certain classes over others and you don't typically know which until you start playing through it.

At low levels the "give it to who can use it" approach is generally best, but at higher levels it is usually less necessary.

In this example, there is one item worth 2500 gp (the boots) that is worth more than everything else added together. It would be foolish to insist on selling it so that everyone can get equal shares, since we effectively lose half the value of the item.

In fact, I would be willing to keep the money earned in a pool, and spend it on the same basis; i.e.: the first masterwork weapon we buy should go to the character that can deal the biggest potential damage with it.

Obviously we need to make sure that everyone is getting their fair share sooner or later. I suggest that we keep track of our individual total wealth on our character sheets so it can be checked periodically.

Personally, Ilamin will benefit the least in the beginning of the campaign. I'm not really seeing any need for gear until we start seeing Cha buffing stuffs or start buying the typical things. Cause even in one more level, I start throwing Sound Bursts pretty consistently in battle and I will likely very rarely use my bow.

Eventually I will be having an animal companion, so I will have be putting money more into making him combat viable than Ilamin as I'll be pulling a wizard like role of staying out of danger as best I can.

Well since Azul elected to post his disapproval in a public manner I will respond in kind. Azul: You are playing your character as you feel you should and I should not curtail how I feel my character will react. If you are doing something that I feel my character will have words about he will speak up...Sorry if you can not handle that. This is a game and you seem to have a problem with separating a game from life to the point that you are getting this upset. No I am not trolling you but I will not change how I play my character because you do not like the way I play him. To answer some of your questions that I am amazed that you asked...WOW. No I am not "grumpy" with your die rolls. You do not have control over how the die falls. To think that I would be that shallow leads me to not want to be here anymore. This is a game and I am adult enough to be able to separate the differences. That being said. I have had problems with you in the past and I brought it up to the DM in private. I have seen that you would ignore my post that were directed to you. It has happened more than once and I thought at first it was me just reading more into it than was there. So after I talked to the DM..I relax and let it go...until now. It seems that we have different view on how I should RP a game with my own character. So to help with your disapproval...I will remove myself from the game effective immediately. If you had such a problem with me you should have done in a private manner but you elected to take your shots at me in public. That is not part of the game...you did not go at this in a RP manner you came at me. I will not be part of something like this...I have little time on my hands as it is and I would rather be part of something that is fun than be waiting for the next disapproving message to come my way. All....right, interesting bit of internet drama there. I'm not 100% sure what to really say in this situation.

I will admit, I'm not too fond of people telling me what to do in character. Preachiness is never really a good quality in a character (Unless you're literally a priest and preaching for your god.)

Plans almost never go through beyond the first round to two and spontaneity is really required. So, in character, I would quickly be at odds with Sir Andreas...I'm not saying that wouldn't also be the issue with Azul but that is the nature of the game. (Though, I don't feel you've chastised me for any in game action.)

~scratches head~ So, are we looking for a 5th? This campaign is fairly deadly and it wouldn't hurt.

If you asked me two weeks ago how I'd feel if a player quit I'd say I'd be deeply hurt. I've tried to put a lot of love and care into this campaign and make sure everyone is having a good time.

Sadly I have no power over personality alchemies at "the table" so I view this event as seemingly inevitable. That makes it easier for me to take to have Sir Andreas Quit -- especially considering I very much had great plans for his character... or at least envisioned great things.

If anybody has any friends or recommendations in mind who are willing to play a front-liner I'd appreciate somebody coming in vetted rather than going through the work of grooming for somebody on the open forums... particularly if you recognize somebody good in the recruitment thread.

This is such a good group and I enjoy the pace we are going (pretty much everyone posts daily) and would like to keep that up.

Besides that I can only say I'm a little shocked and saddened by how things have shook out. It would have been a lot easier to wrtie out a character and write in a new one if we had made it back to Oleg's. I'm sorry this couldn't wait to come to a head.

I'd also say I'm sorry for bringing so much spotlight on THIS drama that it takes away from the game drama that I really want to bring to all of you. I apologize.

And finally -- I hope the rest of you are enjoying the game enough and respect my efforts as GM enough not to just drop it like a hot pan. I'm trying here, I'm having fun and I hope the rest of us are too.

DM as far as the vetting process, you could let us know if there are any players who you find appealing and then we could send you private messages about anything we know of them. Not perfect by any means, but that might be a good way to go if nobody has anyone to invite for whatever reason!
