Greas was the only one out in the open enough to be spotted as far as I know, but it doesn't matter. Oadir knows at least it wasn't him that was spotted, since he distinctly does not fit in the category of 'Kobolds' as the only one in the group... safe for the drow but then we all tend to keep forgetting she's here.

The human shouting for help about the kobolds goes pale and his mouth widens in horror when he sees Thunk's ecstatic expression and the corpse of the fat boy. He turns around and tries to flee down the stairs, but Thunk's too fast. The barbarian chases him until the kobold is standing at the top of the stairwell leading down, and the man is halfway down the stairs. Then, Thunk hurls the pig-boy's body down at the shouter. The man has time to say "No-!" before the corpse, which was thrown very hard, smashes into him. The two bodies collapse in a fallen heap at the bottom of the stairs.
As Oadir and Hegh bicker over battle-tactics, the late shouter's cries begin to take effect. Other pigskins are rallying nearby, as word has spread by now of the slave insurrection outside the city walls. Most guards know that kobolds were behind it, so they're reacting quite fiercely and avidly as they scramble toward the building you're standing on. Guards that were searching the crater for signs of the Deathclaw's body begin to rush toward the Flashbang Group.
Greas, Krish is trying to steer you toward the Deathclaw's severed arm. Thunk is following you, do you try and fight with Krish over where you're running, do you split up, or do you acquiesce and find a way over to the roof across the street?
Also, you look around you and realize that the drow noblewoman has disappeared. There's no trace of her, and you don't know exactly when she left.
-------------------
Neither Smoog nor Sees are able to parse their brains for anything new or interesting about Estr's city systems. In fact, their failed rolls means that something bad is about to happen to the sewer group.
However, Retzack the goblin knows a thing or two about finding edible goodies. That's a goblin's normal first priority after all - determine what can be eaten in the immediate vicinity. Retzack points out that there's fragrant fungus that grows in the moist parts of the sewer, on the walls, that can be used to bait a trap for animals (which love the odor) or can serve as rations in a pinch.
You move westward in the tunnels, to where there is a section filled with deep water. There are reeds and things in the water, along with what looks like a big log in the center of the pool. On Kibra's map, you're near the hashed-in area next to the skull.

Retzack nods. "Ah. I apologize. I thought we were in a desperate situation and had to take advantage of any and all resources that we could get access to. I did not know that you have so great a store of rations and animal bait that we just let that tasty, delicious, nutritious, and abundant supply of edibles just lay there.
So too, I thought we were a practitioner of the High Arts. And were one of -those- here, I would have doubts that a single Crocogator--if they even exist--would pose a great threat.
By all means, let us retreat and go back to our former opulence. I'm sure the other group will be happy that we passed up a chance to have fresh rations, and even fresh game, waiting for their return.
Or, I suppose, we could band together and act as a team. Then we could harvest all of this, and maybe even have a fresh Crocogator corpse to boot.
What do you say?"

On the rooftops, Hegh has successfully blanketed the roof access stairs of this building with ice. Guards are trying to rush the stairs and not expecting the change of frictional coefficients, so they make it about two steps up the stairs before slipping and falling back down. Since all the guards are wearing medium armor, when they collapse into each other, it creates an unholy mess. Oadir can ask me one question from the Discern Realities list as he scans the situation. There are about 6 guards trying to climb the stairs, none successfully as they are all trying to hasten too quickly.
Greas, as you're having a friendly debate with Krish, you're also looking around the town. You see a likely spot, and then another - in the direction of the arm, but further away, there is a collection of three tall silos - you assume for storing the disgusting grains that humans like to eat. Not far off from the silos, but further southward, is a collection of large buildings that could be warehouses. Either of the two places could be good hiding spots for a creature like the Deathclaw, injured and on the run. If you know predatory psychology - and let's face it, most kobolds understand predatory psychology, especially you - you'd know that an injured Deathclaw would be looking for somewhere to go to ground, hide, and recover its strength.
Meanwhile, Greas and Krish continue to disagree over where they should flee to. The legendary unity of purpose of the kobold race appears to be fraying as Gorlaug's kobolds argue with each other...the guards are delayed, but are continuing to try and struggle with the frozen staircase...what happens next?
I'll tell you what happens next - in the sewers, anyway. Sees-Death reaches for a mushroom growing out of a log in the water, only to discover that the mushroom is actually a large warty growth on a crocogator! The large reptile lunges after her arm and bites down hard! Her clothing tears as the huge creature grabs a mouthful of fabric and rips its head violently to the side. "Look out!" cries Tallest-Silver, who had tagged along with your group and had been staying respectfully silent behind Sees. You feel her grasping you from behind, Sees, even as the crocogator pulls hard in the other direction, trying to drag you to deeper water.
Sensing the nearby disturbance in the water, two more shapes stir out of their complacency and begin wending their way through the water's surface towards you.

In the moment when the crock snaps at Sees-Death, she feels a sudden wash of vertigo. Her vision swims as she thrashes back to cling to Tallest-Silver. She takes in a mouthful of putrid water and sputters, looking from the animal to her companions, their figures blurring. Through the veil of warped glass, Sees can see them. They were astral clocks of brass, concentric innards spinning in every angle. Along the outer bands, rune-carved gemstones mark off time in an unfathomable scale. It's a passing glimpse, but a horrific truth surfaces from the tapestry of information. Based on the glittering rows of multicolored gemstones, the animal's remaining life was longer than any of their own, but the clock representing Eats-Bugs bore a hegemony of black onyx, punctuated by a single flickering stone. He'd die before the gator. He'd die before her! He'd die before that simpering Silver! No, she could at least make that right.
Between gasps for breath, Sees shouts, "forget the animal! It won't die here! Protect the whelp!" Sees reaches back and claws at the sleeve of her overshirt, trying to pull free with Silver's help.

Ok then, eehm "What should I be on the lookout for?" I thought that was pretty obvious since I really only wanted to know of other accesses to the roof and where the guards might come from.
Oadir starts making his way around the roof, looking to see if there are any other threats coming from elsewhere. He doesn't spot any immediately, he suspects these stairs might have been the only way up onto this roof from below, but there are other roofs to leap towards and they'll have their own stairs leading up to them. He scans the other roofs for stairs or other such entrances on them.
Also I like how you get the power to call who will live and who will die and you choose to use it to call a death on our side and a survival on the wild creature you encounter, it's like you want the new NPC kobolds to die.
Oadir searches with his eyes, all 3 of them at this point, his elemental having piercing eyes, as does he himself. The sharpness of the claws of the creature however he could not match.
Resolved my earlier question of the Elemental tag with a PM: it's 2 piercing, also it does have 1d4 damage just like me I'm assuming. The only ways I can do more damage is with a projectile (1d6) or a blastwave (1d8) or if I were to, at a later point, take an advanced move.

No good excuse here for not posting yesterday, I was playing DOOM all day.
Up on the rooftops, Oadir, you see that Hegh has the humans well controlled in the stairwell. The pigskins aren't creative enough to have figured out climbing the stairs in an adjacent building yet, and the stupid guards are still trying to clamber over each other trying to reach you. Hegh is laughing as he blasts them with ice repeatedly. Soon the stairwell will look like a frozen statue garden.
Thunk, your club is glowing brightly...there are men everywhere around here.
Greas points to the silos and the warehouses that he saw, and begins leading everyone to a path that will lead in a wide circle around the blast zone and leading in that direction by rooftop. Do you follow?
---------------------
Down below, the base camp kobolds have their own problems. Smoog's eye laser strikes the crocogator accurately, but barely scorches their tough scales.
The mental assault works more effectively, drawing the three crocogators out of the water and sending them rushing upstairs. Sees-Death manages to scramble out of the way, though she pushes Silver into the water in the process, making her cough and sputter. However, Eats-Bugs wasn't so quick on his feet. He was looking on in concern at Silver falling into the water, and doesn't notice the rushing reptiles until too late. The third crocogator to rush past you all, the biggest one, grabs hold of Eats-Bugs' leg with his jaw and begins shaking its massive head back and forth rapidly. The Yellowjacket kobold screams in pain and fear, trying desperately to break free of the monster's grip. The other two are heading toward your main encampment. What do you do?

That Eats-Bugs was attacked was disconcerting. That his corpse might be eaten, even more so.
Retzack walks slowly to the side, away from the crocs; they were of no concern to him, and he let them pass.
With a mental command he commands his Reborn--which now no longer resembled a female human so much as a living termite mound--to lunge recklessly into the tumultuous water and end the reptilian threat to the kobold.

DOWN IN THE SEWERS:
Sees, your vision of death has been (partially/largely) thwarted by the valor of your comrades. Hundred-Claws' assault distracted the creature such that its gaping jaws missed a killing blow, latching instead on Eats-Bugs' panicky and flailing arm. The crocogator thrashes back and forth with its powerful body, and its heavy tail whacks Hundred-Claws hard enough to leave a large, painful welt (under his scales) from the bottom of his left ribs to his pelvis. Take 1d8 damage, Hundred-Claws, but your attack distracts it sufficiently for Sees-Death and Retzack to strike with terrifying effectiveness.
Sees-Death's Wrath of Gorlaug strikes the creature in its side, forcing it to let Eats-Bugs' arm go as it's knocked end-over-end by the force of the blow. Eats-Bugs continues to scream, bent double in pain, clutching his bloodied stump - all that remains of his left hand.
Retzack's creation, indifferent to the suffering of the small black kobold, steps over it as it walks over to the crocogator. It's alive, but very dazed, shaking its head back and forth in an attempt to clear its vision. It refocuses just in time to look up and see its death coming.
Splut. Retzack's monster stomps hard on the crocogator with one foot, collapsing its skull and killing it instantly. The creation isn't quite intelligent enough to differentiate between something with or without a caved-in skull, so it just keeps smashing its unresponsive corpse for a few moments, creating unsettling noises as it does so. When it stops, and turns back to Retzack for direction, you catch something gleaming in the mass of busted flesh where the crocogator once was.
Tallest-Silver moves off to her brother and tears off some of the cleanest sections of her dirty rags, to make a tourniquet, and begins to tie it tightly around his bloodied arm.

At times they have to shimmy across gaps between buildings along clotheslines, at other times they have to duck down behind retaining walls to conceal themselves from the locals...but kobolds know stealth, and they know moving quickly.
It takes almost 40 minutes with all the hazards and switchbacks the meandering rooftop path takes, but eventually the kobolds find themselves in an empty rooftop garden that overlooks the warehouses. Peering down, you see that there are six buildings in two rows of three that make up the warehouses that you saw from afar. They are approximately 35 feet high and have wide windows running along where the wall meets the roof. The windows are open, and look wide enough for a Deathclaw to potentially slip through.

Greas takes the opportunity to look over the warehouses. Something like a Deathclaw was unlikely to have made an entry without any trace. Then again, it managed to get away earlier undetected, so perhaps it would surprise him. But this time, he felt that wouldn't be the case. Best to work quickly though, before any witnesses made their way here.
He looks to Krish first, though. Earlier had not been the best time to ask about it, but something was going on between the two of them that he yet to understand. All he was sure of was that what happened shouldn't have, and that the talk of spirits from him and Grick...what happened to Grick? Were not mere babblings. It would have been easy to continue pondering if they were just insane mages if not for what he'd seen now.
He was getting caught up in his musings again. Staring at Krish was not a productive use of time. Better to enlist his help. "You called that thing the Spirit-Eater, did you not? It would be fair to presume they would stay clear of the creature. Do the spirits seem fearful, or absent from any of these buildings? Pay attention to where the absence centres about if it's present."
Greas turns his eye back to the warehouses, and starts looking more closely. He need not tell Kibra what need be done here, if he had any sense to him.

What happened here recently? Did the Deathclaw enter any of these warehouses?

Retzack is all smiles as his Reborn pounds the crog into a bloody mess. One less thing to worry about.
Then he walks, somewhat unhurriedly, to Eats-Bugs' side. He calmly places a hand on Tallest-Silver as she tries to inexpertly wrap a collection of filthy rags around the bloody stump. "Ah-ah. Too much infection will foul the stump and poison the body. I can work on a live one or a dead one, but let's try to keep him alive for the time being."
He shushes and coos to Eats-Bugs until the shock becomes bearable, then he asks, in an even voice, "Now, I can make you whole again. Or I can make you better. See there?
That is your hand. I can reattach it.
See that? That is the limb of a crocogator that my Reborn tore off.
Would you like that instead?"
Well, we always knew this would happen, may as well be now: Can I use "Replacement Parts" on something not the original? If so, how many steps away can we get? Personally, I see no reason we can't get wild with this. So long as a "limb" is replaced with something else that can be called a "limb" that makes for a MUCH better story. Wacky hijinks to ensue.
As Eats-Bugs makes his choice, Retzack picks up the chosen limb and hold it to the stump. He calls the Reborn over, selects a few choice candidates, and places several army ants (number 5) to act as sutures at the connection to hold it tight.
He begins to work.
Also, 2000 get! =D
