In his frightening, emotionless gravelly voice, Vengeance repeats to Livewire, "It wasn't me... Not a killer... The guilty must be punished. Death is too easy. The Killer will face Vengeance... Tonight!”

You don't believe that he was anywhere near the crime scenes last night


"S##!... worst of all, the guy seems legit..."

Pete still keeps his muscles prepared in case something happens, but it seems if there's some action tonight it won't be right here, right now. Only hope is Livewire knows how to take the guy to his side.


Male Human (Chinese-American)

"So... we believe this guy? Or is he full of it?" Zhi whispers, just loud enough for the URGENT communicators to relay his message. He creeps forward, trying to keep pace with Predator-X. In his mind he tells himself it's because they're a team, and that's what they're supposed to do... and totally not because this Vengeance character is creeping the piss out of him now that they can see him in person.

Everyone hears the cracks of small arms fire a couple of blocks away. It sounds like the firefight has at least dozen participants.

Vengeance turns his head toward the gunfire and tenses to spring toward it.


Certain that he can't stop Vengeance from going, and seeing the value in observing the scary 'hero' to figure out the truth of his claims, Max responds to Vengeance and tries to tip his team to his play through the shared comm line. "Maybe we'll find the Killer over there. Let's go."


Male Human (Chinese-American)

Zhi nods. "Yeah, sounds like trouble." With a grin on his face, he dashes several steps toward the warehouse and then kicks off from the ground, seeming to soar through the air like a feather in the wind, far further and faster than any human should. (Using Super Jump.)


Kenny was fit. Fitter than most. But there was no way he was going to be able to keep up with Vengeance. Not by a long shot. Or apparently Livewire or Southfist. He'd have to wait for them to get close or make a mistake. And judging from the conversation, Vengeance didn't seem to be all there. His focus was a little for narrow. "Something up with him?" he asks over the comms.

But before he can even think about how to get on the roof, (starring up at a not-so-low-hanging ladder on the emergency exit on the side) the sound of gunshots can be heard from down the street. The fighting was already starting. He runs in the direction of the gunfire. "I'll draw fire. You guys start taking out gang members." He exits the building right in between the two fighting gangs and pauses, looking sheepish. "Uh, this isn't where I parked my car."

Assuming I can go through the building. Want to end up near the blue car.


"What the- ?"

The sound of a gun fight alters everyone, Pete also. He sees how Vengeance goes after the fray, and decides to follow. "We're not losing you, man. Not on my watch."

Somehow I can't post in the Discussion tab, and the Paizo crew is having piñas coladas, so I'll just let know here that I joined the Roll20 game.

End of Page 9. Now, you arrive on the map.

Everyone arrives at the gang fight. Vengeance moving quickly pausing on the steeple of the rooftop of a five story building overlooking the firefight. He's effectively 55 feet above the street.

Livewire follows Vengeance closely and looks down. A squad of Black Bones on his left crouch behind cars shoot at a squad of Iron Banders to his right. All are armed and exchanging gunfire with pistols. Livewire has a couple of chimneys to his right that he braces against to avoid slipping off the sloped roof. He's effectively 50 feet above the street.

Kenny couldn't get up the rooftop where Livewire spoke to Vengeance, so with his quick dash toward the gunfire. He arrives behind an Iron Bander who is taking cover in the alley. He is armed with a pistol.

South Fist super jumps to the small rooftop of the shed on top of the rooftop that Vengeance perches, effectively 60 feet above the street. He can see most of the Black Bones, except the one in the alley near him.

Joe got a slower jump toward the gun battle than Kenny so is 10 feet behind him. Loyal Kaixin is faster but stays near Joe.

When the gun fight started, Predator X had just pulled him to the top of the roof where Livewire spoke to Vengeance. He's slower than both Vengeance and Livewire, so he sticks to the rooftops. He's effectively 55 feet above the street.

Zhi--no, the South Fist--looks down at the gangland firefight below him, and he shakes his head as he sees that Vengeance is about to jump down. I don't care what he says, those claws are gonna mess people up. And we aren't gonna get any more out of him while this is happening... which means we've got to get in there. He takes a breath and darts forward. I can't believe I get to do this.

Again he steps off of the ground and soars out, easily seeming to break free from gravity itself as he sails through the air. Using Super Jump to move 10 squares, and making an unarmed attack against this goon. I'm not sure how diagonal movement or attacking while on the move works in this system, but ideally I'd love to end up in the alley myself if at all possible--either kicking off and jumping over the guy, or just "riding" him into the alley if my attack knocks him out.

His target is the Black Bone at the mouth of the alley across the street, and he flies through the air, aiming straight for the man. He never even touches the ground before he reaches the gang member, leading with a spinning kick to the man's chest. As he does so, he can't help the cheesy one-liner that springs to mind. "Sorry to drop in like this, boys!" The Black Bone is knocked back 5 feet.

Blue Black Bone takes 33 - 5 Soak = 29 damage AND is knocked back 23 feet (33 damage - 10xBrawn). You needed another point in range. While you are 25 feet horizontally from the guy, you are 60 feet up on the roof where South Fist was.

To keep things moving, here's my action assuming that map is accurate and I hit someone else.

As Vengeance 'ghosts', Max throws a glance at Predator-X. "Man! That guy is major league creepy." Then he throws a blast of electricity at the gunman using the corner of the building for cover. (Target guy 2 left & 2 down from me)

Alright, I'm a little confused. I can't seem to find what do I have to roll to attack and damage. I know I must grapple the guy before applying all those cool maneuvers, but the rule says roll Brawn or Agility. I've got Brawn 3 when grappling, is this a x3? Sorry about all this! :(

Seeing he is on a quite high building, the idea of jumping quickly disappears from Pete's mind. He instead tries to climb down a bit till a height more fitting to let go.

Climb: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
Crit: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Total=(3+3+2)x2=16


Climb: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5X2=10 so picking the 16 instead.


Ah, OK. Since I have a move left, I'll revise my action so that Livewire zaps to the edge of the building (on map) and then hits the guy directly below him with the bolt.

He walks carefully towards the IB lines and reaches out to grab on of the gang members.

If this wins by 10 I can do another wrestling maneuver. I choose to damage his gun which is a Brawn damage roll. I assume hat's it's just 2d6x2 beacuse my Brawn is 2?

Zhi looks up as the gang members open up on him, and he sidesteps and dodges, moving with grace well beyond the normal man. Still, he can only do so much, and a few of the bullets connect. A couple ricochet off of his hardened body, leaving only small puffs of dust in their wake, but one is on point, and he grunts as he feels it pound into the terracotta. "Didn't learn much about playing nice with others, did we?" He steps up to the man he already hit once and then leaps up from the ground, delivering a midair spinning chop to the side of his head.

The two large blades gut two of the Iron Banders who crumple to the asphalt.

Livewire takes a moment to focus before dropping like a lightning bolt into the street, hidden from at least some of the gangsters by the car.

Wesker springs into action, attacking the thug wiht a quick uppercut, while Kaixin barks aggressively at the gang member from the top of a barrel nearby.

Once close enough, Pete jumps down o one of the foes near Tank and Vengeance, using his momentum to hit the guy with his arm and put it to the ground with a flying lariat.

I think you mean South Fist, Predator.

Kenny "the Tank" Harrison rolls his eyes at the gang members continue to fire at him. He doesn't even bother dodging, smiling as the bullets bounce off him. "If the first didn't work what makes you think the other 6 would? This is why you stay in school kids."

He prepares to physically throw the lightweight IB into his companions when a new challenger enters the field. And the new challenger does not pull punches, or blades. Kenny watches as two people slump to the ground. Two people that could have been the kind of murdering, thieving gang members were usually portrayed as. Or they could have been two people who had fallen on hard times and were doing what they could get by. Kenny drops the jovial brawler persona and glares daggers at the swordman. Over the comm he announces, "I think I found our killer, converge over here. Twin swords and green and blue outfit." Then to the gang members before him yells, "Out of the way!" Whether they listen or not, he charges forward, headless of the guns aimed at him.

I want to get to the green dude as fast as possible and hopefully prevent a few more deaths. My sheet says I have a jump of 4 squares which seems off. If I can I would like to do that and start grappling. If not, on the DM screen there is a Bowling for Minions maneuver. If the gang members are minions I want to bowl through them to get to the new guy. Or they can just get out of the way.

2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 x2 for bowling and x3 for grappling I think.

Wesker springs into action, attacking the thug wiht a quick uppercut, while Kaixin barks aggressively at the gang member from the top of a barrel nearby.

Panel 2: Predator X

Once close enough, Pete jumps down to one of the foes near South Fist and Vengeance, using his momentum to hit the guy with his arm and put it to the ground with a flying lariat.

Green Black Bone takes 9 - 5 Soak = 4 damage AND is not knocked back (9 damage - 10xBrawn)

Panel 3: Tank

Kenny "the Tank" Harrison rolls his eyes at the gang members continue to fire at him. He doesn't even bother dodging, smiling as the bullets bounce off him. "If the first didn't work what makes you think the other 6 would? This is why you stay in school kids."

He prepares to physically throw the lightweight IB into his companions when a new challenger enters the field. And the new challenger does not pull punches, or blades. Kenny watches as two people slump to the ground. Two people that could have been the kind of murdering, thieving gang members were usually portrayed as. Or they could have been two people who had fallen on hard times and were doing what they could get by. Kenny drops the jovial brawler persona and glares daggers at the swordman. Over the comm he announces, "I think I found our killer, converge over here. Twin swords and green and blue outfit." Then to the gang members before him yells, "Out of the way!" Whether they listen or not, he charges forward, headless of the guns aimed at him.

The two in front try to get out of his way and fail. The one he held, Tank dropped and is a little dazed. The second one got run over, since he was still woozy from Tank's welcome.

When Tank gets close, he notices that the long single blades are not swords but are instead sprouting from the back of the villain's forearms.
Bowling for Henchman Blue IB: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5
Bowling for Henchman Red IB: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9
Blue IB takes 10 damage and Red IB takes 6 damage and drops unconscoius.

The last two Black Bones are encircled and fire point blank at Predator and South Fist. The bullets toward miss Predator and ricochet off South Fist's terracotta skin.

At the strange feeling in his chest, Tank looked down to see his shirt ripped and a red line beneath across his chest. A bead of red liquid gathered at the edge and slid down, soaking into his shirt. S#&%. Those blades are serious, he thought. He was actually glad there were some people in URGENT that could disable or bypass his supernatural toughness. The first time he felt pain was not an enjoyable experience. For so long, nothing could harm him and his pain tolerance was abysmal. The first time he took a real hit he almost cried, it hurt so much. That was something he needed to work on and work he did.

"Oh shut up you broken record," he says as he goes for the mans flailing arms again. He was a better grappler than he was a brawler so he stuck to his strength and continued to draw the psycho's attention.

2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8x3=24 That's a little better. I want to attack but x2 versus x3 is a pretty big difference. Best stick with what works best. So I've taken 10 damage?
