DM Variel |

You approach the building cautiously yet openly fearing the worst and hoping for the best. The realistic among you know that the truth is gong to be somewhere in the middle. Still you have found 2 creatures here that once helped proved to be helpful so why not a third.
Knocking on the door of the building the red caped man answers it slowly. You can tell that is not used to people knocking on this door and is quite careful. Upon seeing you he lets out an exclamation of surprise and welcomes you in. His voice is unusual as it seems every language you know is spoken at once yet it is quite easy to understand the man. Welcome, welcome. You have caught me at a bad time as I have not had time to cleanse this plaee from my recent arrival. Please, brush off the dust and find a seat. I must go tell my master that we have visitors. He is always happy to meet new people!
He waits patiently to see how you respond and if ok to go fetch his master.

DM Variel |

The creature pauses and bows to you, Sorry, Sorry. Lornak has forgot his manners. Please, please sit and I will fetch Master Yverigodithum.
If you let him go...
stealth 1d20 + 7 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 5 = 29
You overhear Lornak talking to his master say something about new slaves or sacrifices!

Duardlara Frostborn |

Perception: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35
"Uh-oh. He's telling his master he's found new slaves or sacrifices. I think the time for friendly has passed."

Manos Tavore |

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
Manos looks around uneasily, wondering if his new companions are accustomed to this strangeness? "How charming these local customs are."
He looks for a good place to conceal himself for the upcoming unpleasantness.
Stealth: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25

Cynehelm of Orlov |

Cynehelm smiles good-naturedly. Everyone knows it's not a misunderstanding, and yet the priest knows the paladin is right. You don't attack even shifty people without provocation. However, Cynehelm is poised to act.
Ready a dispel magic spell to counterspell any effect thrown at us.

Duardlara Frostborn |

Duardlara nods in the direction that Manos disappeared. "You be neighborly. I think he has the right idea. Don't lie to them if they ask, but don't tell them we're still here. I suspect they will already know." She seeks out a hiding spot with a vantage point so she can fire her bow if things turn out as hostile as she expects.
Stealth: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (14) + 30 = 44

DM Variel |

Soon Lornak returns with a broad smile and bows low to you once again. My master is much much happy to see you. However there is not much room so he requests that only 2 of you come in at a time to visit with him. Who would like to go first to speak with my master?
He then looks around and not seeing Duardlara frowns. Where is the she elf that was here? I do hope that she did not run off as my master would like to meet all of you at some point. He is much much curious about you and what you are doing here?

Helgash |

"Come now friend" - Helgash steps forward - "We have found many dangers lurking in this place" - he states - "We have been attacked more than once without warning or preparation, and by others posing as friendly. Thusly you surely understand we will not make the same mistake again" - his words have a final tone to them.
"We are interested in sharing information, but will not venture alone inside. Please take no offense, but we would first see our host at the door" - the tiefling nods.

DM Variel |

Lornak stutters and stammers even more than he has, But, but my master will not, not like to be kept waiting. Please, pease come to door and look in then before you go see him.
Lornak then moves to the side to allow Helgash to go to he doorway and observe his master.
As you approach the doorway to peer in the first thing you notice is the room is quite tall. 20ft high to be exact. Looking inward you do not see anyone immediately in the room. Soon though you look up and see a horror floating in the air. This creature has a pale, froglike appearance with clawed hands, no eyes, a wide mouth, and a snout ending in pink tentacles.
Please make a dc 22 will save or be dominated as per the spell. Success we enter init fail the creature telepathically asks you to enter and sit down for a talk.

Duardlara Frostborn |

Duardlara readies an action to shoot the master’s slave if he takes action against the party.

Orgar |

Round 1
Orgar will draw on some of his eldritch energy to enhance his scimitar, Issar ...
• Issar is a +1 cold iron keen scimitar
• He is adding +2 of his +3 bonus to hit and damage
• He is adding the other +1 to adding +1d6 acid damage per attack
• He also gets +5 for the Dervish Dance and +3 for Arcane Strike
• Barring other bluffs Orgar should be +16/+11, 1d6+11+1d6 acid (15-20 x 2 for crits)
"What are we up against, Helgash?"

Helgash |

Hmmmm, I doubt we would have all just entered Variel... Manos even moved off to hide and everything... We're kinda like fish in a barrel here.
Helgash casts a spell to bolster his companions.
Casting Bless.
Jetro from the positions in the map, I'm not sure you can target the bad guy. Variel is he/it in another room, past another door?

Duardlara Frostborn |

Duardlara will hold her hidden position until the others are out or proceeding to do so. Once she feels everyone is clear or nearly so, she will sprint for the window and dive through. Boy, I hope someone left the sash up as they left!
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Once outside (ihopeihopeihope), she asks Helgash - "What was it? What did you see to know it was a trap?"
