Fortune favors the bold
Andrek will use one point to give himself plus 4 to hit
As Andrek's swing is about to miss, Andrek calls upon Muir to guid his blade and connect with a light blow, but a blow none the less. 8 Damage
Lucia Moonshadow
Lucia will cast Sleep(DC 15) on Tarv after he moves a couple squares away from the enemy, readying the action if necessary. Then she takes his place, flanking with Pris to take down the enemy.
DM Grimmy
As Tarvelin flees, the acolyte on the ground see's an opportunity to discharge his ghoulish magic by grasping again at the dwarf's ankle.
AoO Touch-Prone: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 3 - 4 = 5
Without even noticing the attack, the panicked dwarf fortunately steps out of reach in the knick of time.
Before he gets even ten feet away he feels another spell clouding his mind, but this time it is his companion Lucia's voice he hears incanting magical syllables.
He stumbles and falls into a deep slumber, as Lucia moves to place herself between him and the foes accosting him.
Jeb Hardthorne
Jeb, suddenly quite anxious about this encounter, gets a hold of himself. But not before he hesitates too much to get multiple shots in. As he draws the string of his bow he takes in a deep breath. Letting go of the drawstring he breathes out, sending an arrow flying at the Cultists' leader.
Longbow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
DM Grimmy
The priest doesn't make any effort to avoid Jeb's arrow. A flicker of pale red light appears when the arrow strikes, ricocheting away into the woods with a sizzling sound less satisfying even then the clink of an arrow head being deflected by metal armor.
Remember, you are targeting AC 24 with that shot!
Jeb Hardthorne
Yeah, but I'm guessing with the cover that the Acolytes have they're not much easier to hit. Plus, I'd rather give all opportunity to down the big guy as I think the others will be easier to handle once our Bastard Sword Brothers are freed up from fighting him. I know, it's a gamble on my part. Plus, I wouldn't have hit anyone else, anyway.
DM Grimmy
@Jeb: np, sorry for backseat driving. You are right, that shot would have missed the acolytes too, but FYI they are AC 16 (18 with partial cover, 20 with cover). I don't mind sharing this because I think PC's would be able to get a sense of these things after a few rounds of combat anyway.)
@Priscilla: Ok, you are still up on the rock for flanking with Priscilla and Higher Ground bonus.
Lucia Moonshadow
Sorry I keep forgetting to add the round tags, I'll remember eventually.
DM Grimmy
@Priss: Nope, no re-roll, without the action point your attack was a miss either way. I'm just making sure I put your token where you want it. On the rock, you will get flanking and higher ground bonuses when you attack next turn, and you provide Lucia with a flanking partner. That means both of you are more likely to hit, and can backstab away to your hearts content.
The only drawback is that you are threatened by two enemies there rather than one.
@Tarv: Only if you want to resist it, I assumed you would fail voluntarily.

Round 4
After finally connecting, Andrek feels his fortune turning around and he connects again against the evil priest.

Round 3
Ares Snickers at the evil priest, "I warned you." The Aasimar starts murmuring the sounds of a prayer, then suddenly lifts his sword in the air and roars, "MY ALLIES LET MUIR'S LIGHT GUIDE YOU BACK TO THE PATH OF VICTORY!!" With his words a confidence grows back into everyone.

Round 4
Lucia will drop her bow and draw her dagger from her wrist sheathe, stabbing it into the prone acolyte.
Dagger: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 181d4 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (4) = 6
DM Grimmy
Ares connects with the priest's head with his wild swing. The priest clenches his jaw, the sword deflected by his helm and magical aura, but his entire body shifts an inch from the force of the swing, dragging metal boots leaving streaks in the mossy soil.
Everyone remember Ares removed the bane and healed you 5HP.

Round 4 Acolytes of Orcus
Seeing the halfling slay his brethren, the acolyte behind Priscilla pulls a mace from under his robe and swings at her.
"He will be welcomed where you have sent him. You may not find the abyss as comforting when you join him there!"
Mace: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
The other acolyte, to the right of the armored priest, draws a mace and advances on Jeb.
Mace: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
4 Damage Priscilla

Jeb Hardthorne
Jeb grunts as the mace impacts his side where his armour is thin. Wincing in pain, he shouts out, "Bastard! You'll pay for that! " Taking a small step back, he looses two more quick shots at his attacker.
5-foot step back and rapid shot with all the fixin's.
Rapid Shot 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Round 5
As his brother falls to the Priest's mace, anger starts taking over the aasimar until his father's words echo in his head Tactics not power wins battles! Lose your head, your already dead!. The fire in his eyes dies a little as Ares tightens his grip on his fathers shield with a quiet thank you he holds it up and lets loose a healing wave for his comrades. Then stares daggers at the evil priest and announces, "I AM ARES VALORN, SON OF MARL, BROTHER TO ANDREK, AND FUTURE JUSTICAR OF MUIR! May I have the name of the vermin I will be running through?"
Priest and injured cultist blocked due to selective channel.

Round 5
Lucia will cast vanish and move in between the still standing acolytes.
Invisible Stealth: 1d20 + 10 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 20 = 43
Can someone please remind me when Tarv's fear effect is about to end? It's going to be round 8 right?
Lucia Moonshadow
Round 6
Lucia conjures a globe of acid, ready to launch it at the opponent currently threatening Jeb. Waiting for him to step back to launch his arrows, opening up the opponent for her ranged attack.
Readying my standard action for the afformentioned 5-foot step, hope he takes it lol
Invisible Stealth: 1d20 + 10 + 40 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 40 = 54
Acid Splash: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 111d3 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (3) = 4
Jeb Hardthorne
Hey! Nice finally be back on my computer when I can type in the web browser and not need to rely on Wayfinder. In round 5 I wrote that I took a 5-foot step but couldn't actually move my token. So I just did that now. I assume that the acolyte took a 5-foot step or just moved up to me to attack me. In which case I'll resolve my turn soon. Also, I'm confident my second shot of Round 5 missed the acolyte with a roll of 9, but the first one should hit with a 23, even if he had full cover. But, no worries, it doesn't really change my next turn at all.
