Round 10 - The Raiders and the Ninjas
”Hey! What just happened!?” says Jorgan as he watches the last ninja fall down. ”Wodes, Get your feathery butt back there!”
(Pavel (Con = 8) needs to make another Fort save DC 20 or -1d3 ⇒ 3 Con.)
The raiders aaargh some more as they feel the pressure of their leader at their back.
T 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17; 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
P 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9; 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
But Pavel and Theoden are just too quick for them...
”You wanna talk, Little Man? Let’s talk!!!” says Jorgan as he throws his axe in a vicious arc, aiming at Theoden’s neck, followed by a snapping bite at his raised arm.
1d20 + 10 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 2 - 2 = 24; 2d6 + 5 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (5, 4) + 5 + 2 + 4 = 20
1d20 + 3 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 - 2 = 23; 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 + 2 = 9 Curse
Confirm: 1d20 + 3 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 - 2 = 7; 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 + 2 = 7 Curse
The onslaught proves devastating, as Theoden is too slow to stop the axe, while he gets bit as his shoulder bursts open. (-29 hp to Theoden)
Jorgan growls with pleasure...
Wodes fires another gout of flame at Garand then flies to the back.
G 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18; 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
The flames fly true and fear starts to grow in the Shoanti’s heart. (-9 hp to Garand)

He steps behind Pavel to C9, should be a 5 ft. step and not provoke and casts a spell.
A faintly luminous longbow that appears to be composed of a pair of antlers manifests a few paces ahead of his position H8 and launches an arrow of force at the bear-warrior.

Can I do a ranged touch attack on the bear dude? If I can't from my current position, if I shift to the west 10' can I do it? If he is Huge now, I probably can shoot over Raith/Theoden to hit the bigguy.
Well, at least he is a bigger target than the last one I tried this spell with...
Hands cupped together, Sorin begins chanting in a guttural, sibilant tongue. As he intones, his hands slowly fill with what appears to be molten rock, waves of heat and small flickers of flame dance across his fingers. Then, like a cobra rising to strike, the flame slithered out of Sorin's cupped hands, wove back and forth for a moment then streaked like a lance of fire away from Sorin towards the towering bear-man.
30' range touch attack, fire damage
Range touch, no vision penalty: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
And the dice hate me...ooh, lets see how much damage I would have done!
wasted damage: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 3) = 17
Sorin nearly groans in dispair as the bolt of condensed fire shoots high and over his target, dissipating as it streaks down the long hall.
If we survive, I will never cast that spell again...its too hard to aim!

@Theoden: I double checked on the bite. Yes, he has reach, but you have cover from the raider (goes both ways). He still hits, but barely, with the two protection spells taken into account.
@Raith: Someone needs to make a Knowledge (local) DC 14, and tell the others.
Raider 4 is down.
@Sorin: You're fine shooting above the fire. No penalties except he's in melee (-4 or Precise Shot).

Welp. Con is now 3, that's another 10 hp off my total. Down to 13 max, Fortitude reduced to +2. Probably the end for me.
Pale and sweating, Pavel takes a final lunge at the raider that's been shouting in his ear.

5' step in #4's spot. Can I smite evil and challenge? They're both swift actions. Or will those not stack? I'm really not sure. Will go with Smite Evil for sure. Smite Evil bypasses all DR.

Round 11 - Ameiko’s Friends
This poison never ends! Garand thinks, frustrated as he can barely keep ahead of the damage Pavel is taking.
He steps behind Pavel and casts a spell. A faintly luminous longbow that appears to be composed of a pair of antlers manifests a few paces ahead of his position H8 and launches an arrow of force at the bear-warrior.
//The arrow simply bounce on the great warrior.
Raith rushes to Theoden's side slashing the raider. "I'll kill the little one, you kill the big one."
"What kind of man is this?", Raith marvels at the bear man.
//His slash cuts the raider behind the knee and he bleeds to the floor.
Then it dawns on him: "It's a shapechanger. Use silver on it.", cries Raith.
Well, at least he is a bigger target than the last one I tried this spell with...

//He makes short work of the last raider.
Grabbing at his wound in hopes to stanch the bleeding, Theoden gathers himself as Raith finishes off the last raider. "It would be <gasp> my pleasure." Theoden steps forward over the fallen raider, his blood flowing freely, and takes a deep breath, "I accept your challenge, beast!" He cries out as he strikes at the bear-man.
//Jorgan parries quickly each of Theoden’s attacks.
Round 11 - Jorgan and Wodes
”That’s it!? You guys are the protectors!?! Wodes, is this a joke?” says Jorgan as he blocks Theoden’s attacks. ”I was looking forward to this... Anyhow, I can always toy with them a little...” He grins a beastly smile at Theoden and crashes into him with his axe.

1d20 + 3 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 - 2 = 13; 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8 Curse
Yet this time, Theoden too blocks each of Jorgan’s attacks.
”Mmmh...” he says as he marks a pause in his onslaught.
”Don’t get overconfident Jorgan. Dispatch them. Simple!!!” says Wodes as he fires another gout of flame at Garand then flies further back.
G 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25; 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

The bear is immune to force damage? Strange. Garand is getting hammered. He's taken 41 points of damage. We need to start hammering that bird.
Raith runs around the bear man dropping his temple sword. He moves into flank position with Theoden, whips his silver temple sword from the sheathe on his back, and slashes the bear man.

I thought Garand healed himself at some point? I added up the damage because I knew he had to be hurt. I don't even know what spell that sorry bird is using. If Garand goes down, we're hammered. I'm sure he would have healed himself if he was going to go down. I guess we'll let Celestial work this out.

I thought Garand healed himself at some point?
He healed everyone (but Pavel, it seems) at the top of the stairs, and then healed the bird-swarm damage right after that encounter, but that was round 3-ish, and he's taken all this new damage since then. Eh. Sometimes the (were)bear gets you!

| The Celestial Bureaucracy |
Ok, the whole "How come Pavel didn't get healed?" is probably just an oversight. So let's assume one of the healing done was for Garand, and he's at 5 hp. Now, he can decide to heal himself and switch targets, or move and heal someone else. And please reroll the snake eyes.
