Reason "Sailboat" is involved:
As the boat on which he served headed south, a fight erupted among the crew. People jealous of "Sailboat"'s friendly relationship and preferential treatment from the captain planted material to indict "Sailboat" for some crime [GM discretion of nature and severity of crime - I don't care], and the captain - even though he knew "Sailboat" wasn't guilty - was forced to disembark "Sailboat" at the first major port: Geb.
There, in order to try and start clearing his name and (perhaps) finding clues as to who did this to him, "Sailboat" would join the caravan heading to Rappan Athuk, unfamiliar with the stories ... but just as intrigued by them.
Fury I will probably say yes, let me know what class and such you intend to go with.
Hmmm... well I want to go for a Harbinger, but I was wondering if we could add a modified Bushi Template to it? Maybe I give up Dark Focus and ummm... Massacre for it? Hope you don't mind, but I think the combination of the two could give a brilliant discrased Samurai character.

Removed backstory for now as it references Lost Lands setting. Would I need to know much about Golarion to be in this game? That setting is new to me.

Kaleel Knowing lots about Golarion is not necessary as 99% of this campaign probably won't deal with any of it. There are wiki's. I like to check out maps to help me get an idea of the area, but a generic backstory would also work.

Intense focus? mechanically its rage but thematically it would be the equivalent of him concentrating his focus to a degree that is exhausting :p
and do we count as having the weapon finesse feat before 3?

Yea refluffing is fine. Make a style your own, that is cool.
You have all those options at level 1.
I see this going for a decent while. Perhaps not till the end but we will try our hardest to get there.

Ok. There doesn't seem to be rules for how the Bushi could be applied to the Harbinger and I am not confident to put it together in a way that will be balanced or not. I suggest taking a class that has rules for using the class template for now.

Sailboat and Magnus Though both of you have submitted back stories I also want to see the reason you have come south and joined the caravan, (does not HAVE to be to do with Rappan Athuk at first either).
During his research, Magnus comes across references to something along the coast road (GM's choice. Perhaps a map?). Having journeyed this far, he figured he might as well go look into it, see if there is anything worth investigating. Not being totally stupid, he looks to join a caravan heading that way, hoping to slip away unnoticed when he gets near his prize.

My Soulknife 1(Deadly Fist/Warsoul archetypes), Psy War 1 (Meditant/Pathwalker archetypes), Ardent 1....... aka Psionic Monk with Path of War Maneuvers
Ardent is psionic 3.5 wis based manifestor. If this is not acceptable I'll change the Ardent Levels into more Psy War levels to make everything pathfinder RAW

Could be an interesting backstory for how such a monster is, well, not a monster, but a PC. Obviously the racial hit dice count toward your starting level. Which means Ogren and Ogrillon start at level 1 and Orog starts with no class levels.
Is there potential for periods of off time for crafting items?
Edit: Do animal companions, summoned monsters, or eidolons get the feats also?
That depends how much time you are needing for crafting. Days or weeks you can probably get. Anything more probably doesn't work here. Crafting while adventuring is probably your best bet.
I see that the access to stuff like Weapon Finesse, Power Attack, etc, essentially for free offers a helping hand to martial characters - is there any similar advantage for casters? Or do you believe it not necessary?
Just asking cause I am planning on submitting an arcane caster - either Wizard or Master Summoner ;)
Those options are available to casters also(and their minions, etc...). At the moment I don't see any need to give casters an extra boost of their own.
I'm likely going to rebuild my concept as a Stalker (Path of War)mainly because HeroLab is fighting me every step of the way when I try and make this as a Steelfist Commando.

DM HolyWater, would you allow the combining of the two Summoner Archetypes - Master Summoner and Wild Caller?
Introducing and submitting Good Thomas, an orgren level 1 fighter.
Albion I think that can work. Basically master summoning nature's ally and a reduced and limited eidolon. Also because you get half class level (lesser eidolon) for determining things like evolution pool, and a wild caller gain 1/4 level bonus evolution points, you will effectively get 1/8 level bonus points.
