Descending the stairs, Dru will first try the plank with one leg, daring anyone to comment on her weight (but with a smile and good humor)

As he lands, Jedah gives a swift bow to the Tavern keep and gives her a smile. Hearing Dru's comment he is about to speak when he catches his to gue, the Performer's eyes glued to the wicked point of the spear and his own scars from a minotaur.

"Jumping is fine! Be careful not to fall, gets you down it does!" he laughs at his own poor joke.

It is possible to jump over the gap, though not overly easy

As Drusilla puts a foot on the plank, it shifts and groans a little. Though the wood is creaking, it seems to hold fast as she applies more of her weight on it.

Sighing as Drusilla tests the plank, Heryn strides across with practiced nibble steps. "You all going to stay there? Or you want your Parcel?" she asks.

Pointing down the few steps into another chamber she advises "It'd be down there, in the wine cellar. And don't you be steeling anything. I'm watching you."

Jedah gives a bow and has the decency to put a shocked expression on his face, though his eyes are alight with mischief.

"Madam, I wouldn't dream of the thing! Now, we are looking for a good vintage I gather, so that would make it expensive. Hmm now let me see!"

Moving through the room, the performer runs his fingers over the odd bottle and looks at labels to see any o particular interest. Moving through the racks to find the one they are after.

"Come now Dru, your temple of wine awaits!"

As you rummage through the bottles, looking for the proper vintage, Heryn keeps a close eye on you. "Remember, just grab the one bottle." she grumbles.

After a few moments, Roy locates it. As he grabs hold of the bottle and tries to pull it down, he hears a soft Clunk followed by grinding gears. A panel of bottles slides back into the wall revealing a corridor into another chamber. The bottle itself jerks out of the bards hand and slides back into it's shelf.

Secret Chamber:
A sturdy silver chain jutting from the ceiling ends in a glowing orb that radiates yellow light across the rectangular room. A simple desk of polished wood, stacked with documents and scattered notes, shelters a pair of wooden chests against the south wall. A series of cracks along the eastern and western walls form makeshift entrances into exposed caverns.

"What...what is that?! I've been here nearly 20 years...and I've never seen that before?!" exclaims the barmaid.

Jedah peers around 'Roy's' shoulders, the flames across his skin intensifying so as to bring a violet light to the area beyond. With a low whistle he examines the chamber beyond before gingerly stepping in.

"What a marvel!" the performer exclaims from inside the chamber. "One has to wonder if the old coot knew you know?"

"On my phone so can't move right now buy i will make my way in to the room. 20' light on me if it is dark."

A hunched-over wretch with long, pliable arms like tentacles capped with five wide, spiny claws lumbers out of the corridor. Rearing up with an unearthly roar, the creature whips a tentacle at Drusilla.

Having heard the alien creature approaching, she easily hops over the small assailants swing.

"Well that was just terrifying!" Jedah says casually to Encara as he works his magic on the lumbering creature. Turning to their Bar staff guide he calls "Stay back! you have more than rats in this basement!"

He then gathers flame around his hands and launches a Violet firebolt at the creature, the flames clinging and burning.

5' Step then Move action to gather power. Then fire a Burning Infusion at the creature, with precise shot etc.

Blast vs Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 for Fire damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

The creature also needs to make a DC 14 Reflex save or set on fire. A foe that catches fire takes 1d6 points of fire damage each round until the fire is extinguished.

Drusilla swings her morningstar at the creature. Misjudging it's size, her attack sails over its head.

Jedah draws in the connected energy around him with a cracking sound, the light in the room dims a moment before a ray of swirling fire shoots out from him, engulfing the beast. The engulfing fire ignites the animals skin.

With a shrike of pain and fear, it turns to run . Drusilla capitalizes on the lack of judgment and strikes it down mid stride. Dropping to the ground the strange foe simmers motionless.

Combat Over So...yeah. It's dead...

Peering into the room, Heryn gasps "Oh my! You are good!"

Searching room and desk:
Creature has one potion.

The only noteworthy findings in the room are a stack of papers on the desk at the south end.
The papers chronicle the personal exploits of Selmius Foster, a famous Pathfinder whose name you recognize from your training as Pathfinder agents. Most of Foster’s more infamous adventures appear here in varying amounts of detail.

Turning to show Dru the letters, Jedah leans against the desk and begins to absent-mindedly play with violet flames across the tip of his fingers. Quickly realising the risk however, he stops suddenly and looks at the pages they have discovered.

"So this wine was nought but a ruse I suspect, it would appear that, through fate or design, we are to explore this information and get to the route of the problem." he says thoughtfully. "Way I see it, we have three routes to go right now, the Wall, the Tomb and the Gnome. Whaddya say?"

Gathering up the documents, you make it out of the establishment without issue. The rain has diminished to a drizzle.

Heading for the address noted in the discovered notes, you find yourselves in the Wise Quarter of Absalom. A generous abode stands before you. The abandoned street is well lit with everburning lanterns and Fimbrik's home is currently the only one with interior lights on.

A rusty lock on the front door prevents entry. Though a rather large stack of newspapers are strewn on the walkway, the shadow of a figure passes in front of the living room window as well as a secondary window.

A large window on the front of the residence leads to the living room with another window at each rounded corner of the house.

Encara hurridly moves up to the front door, hoping to avoid some of the rain by getting under and awning and politely knocks on the door.

Stepping out of the bar with a wave to the barmaid and a promise to collect on his wager later, Jedah sighs as he spies the rain and fiddles with his parasol turned umbrella. As they head towards the Wise quarter, he finds it odd that most of the lights are off.

"It isn't all that late is it? On a night like this you would expect more to be home. Nevermind." standing by the door, the performer starts to flick through the newspapers for stories of interest.

Somewhat distracted reading an interesting article, Jedah looks up at the spear maiden with a blink as he processes her question.

"Certainly! Missing the news can be a terrible thing! Plenty of things are recorded for the wary, bandit raids and the like for example." he says as he goes back to the soggy paper.

The newspapers date back 2 years. Seems there is one for each month

As you knock, another shadow passes by the big window. Being closer you can see the shape much clearer now. The figure is that of an elderly gnome garbed in noble attire with a dapper rounded hat on his head and a can tipped with a brilliant glowing gem in his hand.

Though you are certain any inside the abode could hear your knocking, he makes no move towards the door and doesn't acknowledge you in any way. The subject just passes by the window and through another door out of the living room.

Finishing his story, he looks up at the others as they are ignored by the Gnome. Frowning he flicks through the other papers to find only some of them still readable and a few years old by now. Tapping his chin he thinks for a moment before speaking.

"Hmm, you see these Papers are years old, you would think they would simply cancel! I think you are right Dru, seems he doesn't want any visitors! How rude." Looking from the papers to the door he shrugs. "Wanna smoke him out?"

Looking through the window, as the gnome seems to walk pass again, you catch a glimpse of another figure, in similar attire pass through a door on the opposite side of the room.

Neither figure give any indication of noticing your group.

Staring over Encara's shoulder, Jedah shakes his head as the two Gnomes stroll past, neither seeming to pay attention to the others or themselves. Glad to hear the others question it as a sign he isn't completely mental he shrugs.

"Gnomanigans? Brilliant! I may havr to use that in future." he laughs before addressing Dru. "No lock skills hear I am afraid, could blast the lock but you might as well force the door or I envisage us being here some time..."

The door is an option to force, pick lock, break lock, etc. Breaking the windows are also an option. The gnome will not acknowledge you attempting to enter.

As you peer into the room, you notice another aura floating around. An unseen servant seems to be cleaning the residence incessantly.

Once you gain entry
A large sofa sits awkwardly near the entrance, facing toward the center of the room. Sets of chairs and tables are arranged throughout, and statues of grandiose gnomes occupy the corners of the room.
