"Did the monkey die when the witch died, or do we have an angry ex-familiar we need to take care of?"
Faith sighs. "Too many people on this deserted island."
"Oof. Well, making sure this place is truly cleared out can be on tomorrow's agenda. I'm not in any shape for more fighting now. Later? Tulip can track..."
Tulip looks up, gore dripping from her jaws.
"Not now, girl," Zaine says, and the t-rex goes back to gorging. "Like I said, T-U-L-I-P can T-R-A-C-K by scent, so if anything's out there, we should be able to find it. Faith will heal Aerys.
Aerys comes up swinging but fortunately Faith wears armor so her knuckles just get bloodied rather than damaging Faith. It takes a moment, her hands going to her midsection, then hoarsely, "The cannibals found our camp."
"Give that dead redhead an extra chomp on her behalf, Tulip."
Tulip looks up at her name, follows Faith's pointing and proceeds to eviscerate the chieftain. Then looks to Faith for her 'good girl' treat.
"Did the monkey die when the witch died, or do we have an angry ex-familiar we need to take care of?"
Thinking back on it, you do believe the injured monkey ran off into the jungle when the witch was shot.
Thrune's Fang
Zaine spots something on the floor, pries up a floorboard with a dagger, and pulls out a little gray bag glowing with magic.
Inside the bag is a soft cloth, also glowing, and scroll with flourished title: "In Enchanting Weapons" followed by a long list of instructions on how to use the cloth to transfer enhancement magic to a weapon on your choice. It involves herbs and water. Which based on the old dried twigs also in the bag had been included seventy years ago.

The woman hard at work moving the corpse ignores Aerys, all of you really, unless you force the issue. Aerys just sits for a moment, trying to parse what is meant against what she hears. Then, "مادر مرده است؟"
The task oriented woman finally gets the first corpse to the hole, where she shoves the remaining branches aside.
Pookie, "ما می خواهیم به شما در این زمینه بپردازیم و به شما کمک کنیم تا بتوانید به راحتی و بدون هیچ مشکلی از آن استفاده کنید."

Eventually Jask comes around, followed an hour later by Ishirou. The story all three tell is the same, coordinated attack by raging barbarian cannibals. Aerys and Ishirou taking up defensive positions while Jask tried to keep them on their feet and Gelik trying to be helpful. The chieftain stayed out of the fray until Aerys managed to break the neck of one of the attackers. ("Lucky blow, managed to hit his chin and the angle was good. Or bad, depending on who you were routing for.")
Ishirou saw Aerys go down to a quick series of attacks by the red-headed big man, but he got overwhelmed.

Climbing down the rope you find a uneven floor stained with blood and scattered with wood, fallen leaves, broken metal and bone. Once you are halfway down the rope, you see a single exit from the cave in the eastern wall, the tunnel sloping down.
The air doesn't move much in underground complex, but about 30-feet down the twisting, pitch-black tunnel you can't help but smell the decay and death. After 60-feet of tunnel, you enter a larger cave and you hear the scratch of claws against stone.
To the west the cave roof slopes down until it is only three feet from the floor which is strewn with old bone and bits of flesh. To the east the ceiling bulges upward in a dome - and six circular, pod-like alcoves line the walls. Movement to the west, two medium quadruped shapes and more claw over stone. One of Aine's arrows plunge into one of the advancing dogs. It's legs fail for a moment as the arrow shreds something, but it doesn't quite halt the charge. As the arrow sinks in, it breaks one of the pustules throbbing on the undead's flesh, spraying the cave floor with a yellow pus funk.
The undead ghoul dogs charge forward, trying to sink impressive canines into Faith and Sasha. Faith's armor and Sasha's speed both save them from grievous injury.
Zaine drops to one knee and fires into the dog-things. Killing the undead undamaged by Aine's arrow.
"Those things are like ghouls with human intelligence," Faith says.
Faith expends a use of Fervor to cast Shield of Faith on himself. His blade glows white with Holy Strike.
Sasha tumbles around, flanking the injured festrog, her blade cutting into the heavily wounded undead - finishing what Aine did.
The shape in the alcove cough laughs again, "معمولی حتی تغییرات مقدس نباید بیش از حد انجام شود." A woman's voice, jagged shards compared to what it was a few days previous.

Caves of the Mother - Cave of Unbirth
I am Captain Alizandru Kovack, betrayer of my crew and destroyer of the good ship Jenivere. Hell would be a welcome escape from what hideous unlife looms before me, but it is no less a punishment than I deserve. That I was enslaved mind and body to a serpentine demon who wore a Varisian’s skin does not pardon me. It is my weakness that led the Jenivere, her crew, and her passengers to their doom. That Ieana has abandoned me here is nothing more than the fate I deserve. I do not beg forgiveness, but I despair that she lives still, and that she seeks something dire on this forsaken isle — she seemed particularly interested in Red Mountain. If you read this and you be a kind soul, seek out what I have become and destroy me, and then seek out Ieana and slay her as well. And to those whose lives I have helped destroy, I can only apologize from this, my dark cradle and darker grave.
Next to the strip of leather, there is a shard of bone which is stained with the blood used to write the confessional plea.
Caves of the Mother - The Throat
Once you are finished in the cave of unbirth and the one remaining cannibal (other than Pookie), the group is able to head down the tunnel that exits from it, after it curves 40-feet further down into the earth, it oprns up into another larger cave.
A dark pool of water lies in the center of this silo-shaped cavern. A five-foot-wide ledge of stone winds down to the pool below, passing several cave entrances along the way. The cave is 50-feet high and every so often you hear the plonk of water dripping down from the minute cracks in the roof.
To the west of the room (to your right) you see movement - a ghoul on the ledge 10-feet higher than where you stand - start to move away from the large room. Stealthily.

Zaine frowns, as though he can't quite believe what he's seeing. He brings the musket up and fires.
