Nicatha of the Manifold Moon |

The shadow eagle dives at the monster fighting Zia
Dive Bomb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Nicatha evokes more burning sliver moon light and hurls it at Zia's foe.
Magic Missile: 3d4 ⇒ (3, 3, 1) = 7

Skaar |

Skaar growls down at the little feyling in his grasp.
"Yield or I'll crush you!"
Ready to Grapple for Damage if it does anything other than surrender.
Grapple: 1d20 + 15 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 15 + 5 = 28
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 4) + 9 = 17

GM Henry Fortuna |

The chaneque wriggles in Skaar's grasp. "Fine...I surrender, smelly orc."
The other chaneque looks to its kin in Skaar's meaty fists and flies up five feet, out of the range of Zia's weapon. It begins muttering in Abyssal.
DC 13 Will Saves, everyone.
Round 4: Nicatha, Skaar, Chaneques, Zia

Skaar |

Skaar growls at his prisoner's jab.
Will vs Evil: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14
Did he not hear his buddy's surrender?

Skaar |

The temptation to throw one fey at another is strong.

Skaar |

With his prisoner held in one fist, Skaar rushes over and retrieves his previously tossed dagger. The big Orc shakes his head to clear the magical doubt clouding his thoughts and hurls the weapon again.
Dagger minus range and shaken: 1d20 + 7 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 7 - 4 - 2 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Confirming: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Surge!: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Extra Damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Skaar |

Oh, I thought they were pixie-sized.

Skaar |

Ah. Well since the one has stopped struggling, I assumed he doesn't hinder Skaar's attack.

Skaar |

Can we just say that last turn he choked the thing out for nonlethal?

Skaar |

Okay, he can take an AoO then as long as he’s still held in some capacity. I don’t want to give up the potential crit.
Also, I’m going to assume that he’s rescinding his surrender. =/

Skaar |

Wait, what? Are you trying to tell me that bad guys can't be trusted?!

Skaar |

Skaar grunts in surprise when his prisoner claws (?) him painfully. "You little s+*#."
All of out mercy, the big Orc twists the ugly feyling in his grasp.
Grapple for Damage: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 5) + 9 = 16
Assuming that kills it:
Skaar drops the creature's broken body and takes off after Nicatha. "Come back girl! It's just a damned trick!"

Skaar |

Unfortunately Nichatha's faster than him but he'll catch up with her eventually.

Nicatha of the Manifold Moon |

After thirty seconds, Nicatha will recover her senses and return.
"Their magic overcame me for a moment. They seemed to have more than a little of it."
Nicatha will detect magic on their fallen foes.

Zia Ulara |

Seeing Skaar trot-off to find Nicatha, Zia took a moment to gloat over her fallen foes. "That was foolish," she haughtily provoked to the lifeless forms.
Though her rapier had missed most of the time, there was some fluid on it. She set the weapon around the ground, moving her hands in a circular incantation above it. A small downpour of water occurred, and she picked the blade out of it to wash on her pack's exterior. Zia liked things clean - and the sword was mostly for show anyway. Even if she wouldn't have others think that.
Upon Skaar's return or her going to find him if Nicatha doesn't come back in due time, she felt it necessary to compliment him. "Your combat prowess is significant. Yet you are injured. Let me help." Without protest, she moved to him and placed a cold hand on a wound. The feeling of warm fluid gushing forth was present for a moment, then the pain from the wound subsided.
CLW: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Skaar |

Returning with Nicatha, Skaar watches as the dusky-skinned woman scans their attackers for valuables.
Hearing Zia's praise, the big Orc grunts in acknowledgement.
"I've been in my share'a scraps. Wrestled a bull minotaur once. Fought a small army's worth of goons in Brassport. That's the first time I've been clawed up by bat-faeries", he admits while admiring the lacerations running along his brawny forearm.
Feeling the rush of the Undine's warmth, the big Orc chuckles. "Thanks Zia. That feels real good."

Zia Ulara |

Zia smiled at his stories. "Sometimes size can be deceptive," she commented, releasing the orc's arm. "Nicatha, do you have any insight to what our next steps should be?"
Willing to go along with mostly whatever was suggested, Zia was ready to leave this place. Talking doors, flying imps - yes, we've been here long enough.

Skaar |

Skaar retrieves his dagger and gestures toward the wall. "The only way is forward. We should talk to our friend again. Maybe he'll be more helpful after seein' what we did to his pets."

Nicatha of the Manifold Moon |

"Yes, Zia. Our foes had wings. That be our way over the wall. I will levitate Skaar and he will carry us over the wall after we are done here."
After scanning the area for magic, Nicatha will consider the fey. Are any part of them useful for spell or fetishes?
Knowledge (Arcana/Nature?): 1d20 + 8 + 20 ⇒ (19) + 8 + 20 = 47, Trance: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Skaar |

You can do that?!

Skaar |

I feel like we should have done that from the beginning. =)

Nicatha of the Manifold Moon |

It never hurts to talk to badly rhyming doors. But now that we have exhausted the costless option, Nicatha is willing to lean on being a godswife.

Skaar |

We needed these guys. Potentially with Jennifer Connelly.

Skaar |

Disappointed to find out that the fey carried nothing of value, Skaar moves up toward the base of the wall and awaits Nicatha's magics.
"So how's this gunna work?"

Nicatha of the Manifold Moon |

Enchanting the orc to float upwards like a feather, Nicatha steps close.
"Pick me up, please. We will float together to the wall's apex. Then you will float back down to retreive, Zia. And then we will float down to the other side."

Skaar |

Skaar grunts in surprise when the feeling of weightlessness fills his form. He'd experienced his share of magic before but never something like this. After getting his bearings, the big Orc scoops Nicatha up and slowly drifts towards the top of the wall. "Hold on tight."

Nicatha of the Manifold Moon |

"Falling to my doom not be on my list of things to do today," the dark woman says with a smile. "Though perhaps I used too much of my blessings fighting those fey."
