ok, what is the deal with the home connection? you live next to power lines? or someone is cutting your cable connection? youre in the 8th circle of hell and reception is spotty at best? did you give gremlins food after midnight? do you attempt to divide by zero? downloading heavy uranium?
No, I live outside town limits, on the first floor. My landlord swears to high and low that there's a problem with my computer, but the signal is just weak. From time to time, it craps out.
hmmm...have you tried creating a directional antenna and pointing it at your wifi provider?

so, october is a fun month for me. start of the majority of my hunting seasons, Fur trapping starts in 2 weeks, and i like Fall.
so, i am in a good mood, and wish to extend it to my fellow players.
therefore, i am giving out incentives to encourage great roleplaying, because i feed off of what you give me.
what i am looking for is a more in depth look at your characters. what drives them? what are they thinking about? yes, the survival aspect to get the land reward is there, but what else. I know finn has a backstory that has great potential, but that isnt all that makes up finn. Only finn knows what he is thinking. So while im not making it a requirement, i know that by adding an internal monologue to reflect how your pc is thinking/feeling helps enlarge the RP aspect. Start to develop relationships between yourselves. so far the group is just a group of people who are heading in the same direction. perhaps you could share more of your thoughts with the group. Finn and Isabella had an excellent exchange in the middle of combat. what happens after combat? One of your members got himself soaked. is he now a liability because his powder is wet?
rewards: each week i will award the best RP with a free reroll of their choosing. it's not much, but it sure helps when you roll a 1, or if you fail to confirm that neccessary crit.
Also, as some of you know, if i am truly impressed with your posting, i do reward with a bonus level.
I'm considering on taking a level of a healing class - cleric, inquisitor, oracle, or bard. We NEED healing. Anyone have an opinion?
Rizzen - I went back to the religions section and noticed that none of the religions had the travel domain. Was that intentional?
I was toying with the idea of changing up too, when I saw that we weren't getting any bites on the recruitment page. I could potentially go with maybe a native druid or oracle, if needed.
Not that I want to say bye to Saul, but we do need some sort of healer.
Also, are you wanting to continue in the healing class Finn? or was this just for a level or two?
I don't have any long term plans for Finn, so, I can go with whatever. I do like his background and I am having lots of fun with the RP aspect of the character...so, I'd like to keep him or do a rebuild.
If keep: Either levels in witch or oracle for healing. Healing hex or Channel would be good. Witch would give me more options as the party face, though.
If rebuild: Arcane Duelist Bard w/ guns? Godling (if allowed)? No idea really...

I'd like to take levels in life oracle (psychic searcher archetype). It will let Finn be a fairly good healer while still keeping the rogue-ish flavor.
Rizzen- can you elaborate on how divine spells work in this game?

i think youre asking how to gods hand out spells in this game, or how the world views divine spells?
if you are a cleric of one of the three main religion groups of the world, Judaism, Catholicism, Islam, then you are granted powers by your appropriate "god".
If you are a cleric of satan, its the same thing.
If you are a druid, you have to be a bit more hidden with your gifts since you are viewed upon with suspicion.
an oracle is an oddity, viewed with awe by the flock, but suspicion by the leaders of faith. Many have tried to balance the two, but few have successfully done so. In either case, you must declare who gives you your oracle powers.
Ok. It would be the Catholic version of god for Finn. Are you OK with the psychic searcher archetype?
How do lay people view clerics vs oracles? Is there even a difference to them?

Some of you on here have been with me for the last year and some change, having been in my Wheel Of Time Campaign. Some of you have not.
Those of you who joined me followed me from the WOT campaign to this adventure knew that the Oregon trail was going to be a pallet cleanser for me, something to help me reorganize my thoughts for WOT.
Some of you others who are new to me, i do not think i made it clear that this was going to be a shorter adventure.
What does this mean right now? it means that i am switching gears, from this campaign to my WOT campaign.
I have tried running two campaigns in the past, and for a while i was successful, but since i do this at lunch time during the week, it has become harder for me to do 2 games. So i am forced to just choose one.
But, all is not lost. If you are not one of my regulars, i would like to open up to you an invitation to the WOT campaign that i run. If you are interested, feel free to PM me and ill give you some more information about what is going on and what not.

Finn, you definitly did a good job as a first timer, and id def would enjoy having you on the WOT group. i think some of the others have stepped out, so there are some spots available.
I'd love to play but there are so many conversions out there that I am having a tough time getting to the right one. Can anyone post a link to an online copy of the book you are using?
