Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level. Channel 3/day You can channel positive energy like a cleric, using your oracle level as your effective cleric level when determining the amount of damage healed (or caused to undead) and the DC. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 1 + your Charisma modifier. Oracle’s Curse Each oracle is cursed, but this curse comes with a benefit as well as a hindrance. This choice is made at 1st level, and once made, it cannot be changed. The oracle’s curse cannot be removed or dispelled without the aid of a deity. An oracle’s curse is based on her oracle level plus one for every two levels or Hit Dice other than oracle. Each oracle must choose one of the following curses. Clouded Vision You cannot see anything beyond 30 feet, but you can see as if you had darkvision. Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level. Sneak Attack If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage. The rogue's attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every two rogue levels thereafter. Should the rogue score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet. With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (like a sap, whip, or an unarmed strike), a rogue can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual –4 penalty. The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment. Trapfinding A rogue adds 1/2 her level to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks (minimum +1). A rogue can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps. ============ SPELLS:

APPEARANCE:
Finnegan's physique is a direct result from a hard life on the streets. His short, gaunt stature comes from poor nutrition as an orphan. Likewise, his face, dominated by his large, Scottish nose, is puckered and his teeth are yellowed from years of poor hygiene. His face always seems to be half way between a five-o-clock shadow and a full day's growth; sadly, there is more blond-red hair making up his scraggly beard than on the top of his head.
But, what Finnegan lacks in frame he more than makes up in social finesse, for, when he wants to, he can make his brown eyes shine and win over anyone with his Scottish charm. His fingers may be as quick as his tongue, but, his wits usually keep him safe from the worst of trouble. Finnegan is most comfortable wearing tattered, yet, still recognizable New York styles of cloth. Like most men of the time, he usually cannot be seen without his hat - a old, worn beaver skin top hat which he claims was from the Old Country and a time when the Brackenridge Clan was well off. Though, Finnegan can't say when this was, exactly, which means that he probably stole the hat from some poor bloke who fell asleep in a New York gutter.
============ BACKGROUND:
Finnegan's parents fled in the wake of Catholic persecution by the Church of Scotland in the last decades of King George III's reign. In 1804, Finnegan arrived in New York harbor on his second birthday, and, in his mother's arms, stepped off the immigrant ghost ship onto a new land of hope and dreams. Those dreams vanished ten years later when his mother, father, and baby sister all perished from Typhoid fever. Orphaned, poor, and alone, at the tender age of twelve, Finnegan was swept up by the political movement in New York during the early 1820s; becoming a "New World Gavroche", so to speak. He found work as a paperboy for The American and handed out copies of the anti-Jackson propagandist newspaper to passersby on the dirty streets of New York City. During this time he learned to read and write, and to be more clever than those around him, which, is more than most street urchins can claim. Finnegan's "unique" skills were quickly discovered by journalists of The American and they sent him on dangerous missions: hiding in the shadows, overhearing conversations, and collecting muck on the corrupt dealings of New York's political machine. It was good money, for a while, but, his luck eventually ran out... This is an editorial that printed in The American the following day...
Now Finnegan is a man on the run from Tammany Hall-controlled New York law. If the machine finds him, his death will be painful, messy, and quick. Where better to hide than on an expedition to the West under the guise as a "field reporter" for The American? Who would be insane enough to follow him into the Territory? Better yet, how insane is Finnegan to have this be his best option? If he gets out of Missouri alive, and IF he can get to Oregon in one piece without being eaten by bears, or worse, Finnegan hopes to get rich quick by opening the first newspaper in Oregon; one that supports the efforts of those who bought him safe passage out of New York and towards his new life in the frontier...because a Brackenridge always pays his debts... ============ EQUIPMENT:
