Wood casts outside the house, just before the door is broken down. A shiny dog appears to aid the party and confront the undead creature.

"At least I can get the shiny dog in place in case anyone in the group has ideas of flight."

Seems like Vertielle is too busy studying when she should be fighting. ;P

Zhiden, as usual, followed after the others, letting someone else charge ahead as he drew Imrijka's bow. He took a look at it, fairly unused to using ranged weapons, and then fired at the angry ghost.

Fortunately, before she can connect with Gkirkhan, Wood's celestial pet ends the threat. Smiling through her tears, she stoops to pick up the paper she dropped and slides it under the bed, then stands and fades away.

"Dis iz gettink to be too much. Vhere iz dis Brother Spawn? Hy vant to introduce hem to my hammer."

"Can we rush to the next house, my dog has about a half minute left before I have to return him to the celestial plane?"

"Let's hurry then"

By the notes you found, the other two children were seen on the other side of town; Maartin in the house behind #7 and Gaard in the Tanner's shop (#11).

You can run between the houses to reach Maartin's house. The back door is open and you see, in the gathering dusk, a form in the garden.

Gkirkhan takes his hammer in both hands and brings it down hard. A storm continues to brew behind his glowing red eyes, but his actions are carried out in a calm, clinical manner, even if his jaw is clenched hard enough to cord those muscles.

Imrijka and Gkirkhan both connect quite strongly, and Wood's dog gets in a bit of harm as well.

Now we know what it takes to tick off Gkirkhan. I think his meeting with Brother Spawn is going to be...interesting...to say the least.

Wood decides to add to Gkirkan's stature. He steps back 5 feet and casts another spell that takes some time to manifest.

As for the meeting with good Br'er Spawn, yes, it is going to be very interesting, especially if Gkirkhan is still large by then.

Eva's rage at Brother Spawn mean's she'll be hammering him with channels.

"Brother Spawn is the one that hurt all of you!" Zhiden announced, growing tired of the usual refrain. At least the children were thankful when they were released from the wraith's taint. He fired without another word.

Gkirkhan moves in with the same calm strides as before. If not for the strain and grief beginning to show on his face, it'd be easy to imagine him being bored.

When he saw the wraith trying to escape, Zhiden quickly readied another arrow and fired it, saying "You'll thank me later."

He cursed quietly when he saw the ghost continuing to flee. He wasn't sure if he'd missed or not, but he hadn't seemed to stop it.

Rova strikes sharply down, effectively slicing the phantom from shoulder to hip.

"Tha' shoul' be it fer this'n."

As Rova's blade strikes true, the child-wraith calls out "Mommy!" and turns to run to a faint figure which hugs him.

As both fade you hear a whisper. "Ellsa's pictures."

Your enchantments fade with the child.

"Ellsa's pictures?
What could it mean?"

"Let's think about the cryptic Ellsa and Gaard clues while taking big Gkirkan to the next house."

Wood readies his protection from evil wand as they go.

"The pictures under the gorl's bed."

Gkirkhan is already making his way to the next house.

Rova shakes his blade as the enchantment's gleam flades.

"Ehh, dey ne'er last long enough. So, I'll use da oil fer da next 'un, an' ya can cast anudder 'un when we find dis brudder spawn. Oil don' last too long, but enuf fer one more o' dees kids."

Rova digs the oil out of his backpack as he makes his way back outside.

Let's get this OVER WITH, Vertielle says emphatically. It's clear that she's more than a little ticked.

Sorry for my absence, I'm looking for a new place to live, my posting will be sporadic at best. Feel free to DMPC me for the next week or so as needed- Vertielle uses aid another with flanking, fighting defensively.

Imrijka places her hand comfortingly on Gkirkhan's shoulder before you folks move on. "I know. One more. Then they free and safe. Then..." her tone and visage change "We find source."

The notes indicate that the last child-wraith victim was the tanner's son, so you head to that shop.

The little boy is sitting on the counter of the shop, kicking his feet impatiently.

"My friends are gone! It's your fault. All we wanted was to play."

With that, Gaard moves to attack 1d7 ⇒ 5 Wood.

"You brought bad dogs!"
