An interesting fact that I discovered recently: I thought that the deforestation of Ireland pre-dated the 12th-century context of the campaign, but apparently Ireland was still heavily wooded at the time!
...Note also that, from now on while you are in the Otherworld, I will attempt to accelerate travelling and survival sequences inasmuch as possible. That is not to say that it is less dangerous or difficult, but 1) we can assume that you are learning, 2) I do want to eventually return to the mortal world, and 3) there are still a few things to do in the Otherworld before you can leave!
That is interesting. To be honest, I was a little hazy on the exact timeline of deforestation myself.

Since I currently have the sword, can I know the stats on it? Or are they more mysterious? Since it seems like this is turning to combat I was thinking about taking a swing at her but wasn't sure what kind of dice to roll.

What an epic, if brutally short combat.
Mythic is the only thing keeping Thorun from being tossed around like a toy right now. Without all the rerolls and abilities to bump his saves he would be either grounded or dead.

I have to admit I was leaning more to the "catching". How high up are they?
If you get 2-3 people and do a basket toss, you can get some serious height by throwing somebody. I was a cheerleader for a few years and we could throw girls 15+ feet in the air.
