Mary will stay back with her crossbow loaded ready to attack the creatures if they move threateningly towards Shiori. Her aim is not to injure but rather distract in the hopes that she can give Shiori some protection.

Bluff:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18Create a distraction, I'm thinking throwing my voice to make it sound like there might be another insect Slight of Hand:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26While they are distracted, this is the really difficult part, take the tick, and plant it on one of the two creatures, preferably the one that looks less likely to win the argument. If it's too big, move it closer to one of them, trying to make it seem like one of them tried to distract the other and took advantage of the moment to gain an edge on the claim of the meal. Stealth:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17To get away with it all.
I am trying to get them to fight each other, without getting caught.
Koy stays back and watches as Shoiri attempts to manipulate the disagreement wondering if the miniature spy will succeed. However, she is prepared to cast a spell if necessary.
Prior to the opening the door, I would have cast Mage Armor. Pretty much a standard wizard/sorcerer pre-adventuring preparation.

Mary is content to watch the antics play out in the hopes that Shiori succeeds. However she still stands ready to shoot if they move towards her to defend her friend.

Well, I'm not going to throw a rock from my position under the table because sniping penalities suck. How about using the previous bluff to attempt to make it seem like theres a tick-pony sound coming from the open door.

Shiori will stealthily rejoin the rest of the party. "The two creatures seem to be fighting over a tick like creature, they may come to blows if given a reason." She turns to Koytine, "Perhaps you could use your illusions to get them to fight each other?."
I only have a limited number of times I can use that magic. I might be able to knock them out, but need to be fairly close to accomplish this. What illusion do you think would make them fight each other? I could make another tick by the door so that they charge out and we are able to attack them perhaps.

As effective as you were with that spell yesterday I would think that every negative encounter we should have you do that first. It saves a lot of time and healing with such a devastating weapon at your disposal.
Mary stops and considers the alternatives though, Perhaps we should wait though as there are only 2 of them. If you have some other mundane way to accomplish the same thing I am open for options. It sounds like the best idea would be to try and get them to come out here where Vis and Shiori can flank them. If needs be I can be a ruse and fire my crossbpw through the open doorway to have them come after me if we cant get them to attack each other.

Assuming this is good with everyone I will post my attack here but will let everyone get into position with stealth checks first. Heading to bed after this. I put MAry in front of the door then had her take a 5ft step back to where she is on the map MiniGM.
Mary nods her head I will wait till you are all ready then attempt to draw them out by attacking them. Let me know when you are ready.
attack with crossbow at #9 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 for 1d8 ⇒ 5
Sorry guys you have actually lost the surprise you only get 4 rounds and the sneak in and out and discuss is more than enough time we will be on a straight init roll
She places her back firmly against the wall and waits for someone to step through the door at which point she will swipe at them with her dagger. Should get sneak damage from the stealth check, as I have cover vs them currently.

Bummer, I was hoping that a 13 flat-footed would have hit. Did you get a flank bonus from Vis included?
Edit, never mind just saw the map and they did not come out all the way like I hoped...cant wait for 3rd level so you get another to hit and another sneak attack die.
Man, these diagonal maps drive me nuts. On a normal horizontal or vertical map, I could cast Color Spray and easily get both of these guys without having to cast defensively or incur an AoO.
Not seeing that she can use her magic without risking hitting one of her companions, Koytine calls upon a simple cantrip and then tosses a glob of acid at the enemy.

Mary drops the crossbow and pulls out the longspear so she may help threaten the creature that Shiori and Vis are attacking. Reaching out with a hand she imbues Vis with a guiding touch hoping that it will allow him to hit the creature this time.
Nice job Or-chid keep that up.
free drop crossbow
move draw longspear

5ft step back
Once more Koy summons a ball of acid which she tosses at the enemy. However, rather than hitting the combatant, it instead strikes and kills a rather vicious looking spider that had managed to catch several pesky mosquitos in its tiny web above the doorway.

Mary moves over to where she can get next to Shiori and casts her blessing on her hoping that it aids her in either her tumbling or her attacks. If the wall is in the way then Mary will aid Shiori in defense.
