Special Abilities
--------------------
Fast Learner: When you gain a level in a favored class, you gain both +1 hit point and +1 skill rank instead of choosing either one or the other benefit or you can choose an alternate class reward.
Weapon Finesse: With a light weapon, elven curve blade, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category, you may use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier on attack rolls. If you carry a shield, its armor check penalty applies to your attack rolls.
Art of Deception: A master spy adds her class level to all Bluff, Disguise, and Sense Motive checks.
Master of Disguise: A master spy can create a disguise in half the time normally required. In addition, any penalties from assuming a disguise of a different gender, race, age, or size are reduced by 1.
Sneak Attack: This ability is exactly like the rogue ability of the same name. The extra damage dealt increases by +1d6 at every third level (1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th). If a master spy gets a sneak attack bonus from another source, the bonuses on damage stack.
Glib Lie (Su): A master spy of 2nd level or higher can deceive truth-detecting magic. A creature using this sort of magic against the spy must succeed on a caster level check against a DC of 15 + the master spy’s class level to succeed (as if she were under the effect of a glibness spell); failure means the magic doesn’t detect the spy’s lies or force her to speak only the truth. This ability does not give the master spy the glibness spell’s bonus on Bluff checks.
Mask Alignment (Su): A master spy of 2nd level or higher can alter her alignment aura to deceive spells that discern alignment (such as detect evil). She may choose to detect as any specific alignment, or to detect as no alignment at all. This ability does not protect against spells or effects that cause harm based on alignment. Masking her alignment aura is a standard action, and lasts until she changes it again or ends the effect.
Thrown-Together Fashion: You can modify old clothing to make it effective in new circumstances. With a basic sewing kit or disguise kit, you can make a Disguise check to change one outfit into another outfit (see page 159 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook, or page 13 of this book). The DC of this check is equal to 10 + the gp difference between costs of the outfits. The alteration takes 10 minutes per 1-gp difference in the cost of the outfits.
Armor Expert: You have worn armor as long as you can remember, either as part of your training to become a knight’s squire or simply because you were seeking to emulate a hero. Your childhood armor wasn’t the real thing as far as protection, but it did encumber you as much as real armor would have, and you’ve grown used to moving in such suits with relative grace. When you wear armor of any sort, reduce that suit’s armor check penalty by 1, to a minimum check penalty of 0.
Younger Sibling (Ameiko): You’ve lived your whole life in the shadow of your older sibling, a person who seems to have the adventure-filled lifestyle you’ve always wanted for yourself. While your sibling always took care of you, he or she never supported your desire to become an adventurer—your sibling never explained why, only saying, “Adventuring can cause a lot of pain just as easily as it can bring success and riches.” As a younger sibling to one of Sandpoint’s more inf luential citizens, you share some of that NPC’s innate talent and skill at adventuring. As Ameiko’s younger sibling, your ferocious independence and self-confidence give you a +1 trait bonus on Will saving throws. In addition, you gain a +1 trait bonus on all attack rolls against foes that threaten your older sibling.

Background:
Born in Sandpoint, Shiori never knew much about her ancestral homeland. She would listen to the stories that her mother told her, but in the end they were just stories, and obviously that left her with very little real experience regarding the world beyond Sandpoint. Shiori Kaijitsu, youngest daughter of the Kaijitsu family, and younger sister to Ameiko and Tsuto lived a bit more of a sheltered life then that of her siblings, though she always dreamed of something bigger.

As a young child, Shiori loved to play dress up, and pretend to be on an adventure with her sister Ameiko, though Ameiko always insisted in protecting Shiori and never let her go overboard in her games. Shiori was never really close to her half brother Tsuto, only ever seeing him when he would come to Sandpoint.

Shiori was probably closer to her mother then either of her siblings was, but she had no idea, or understanding of the issues between her parents, so when her mother died, it came as a surprise to Shiori. She was ten years old when her mother passed away, and she remembers Ameiko and Tsuto fighting over how it happened, but what she remembers most of all is how much her sister helped her get through such a difficult time. Shiori felt like a part of her was lost when her mother died, but it really helped that Ameiko was there.

For the next three years, Shiori would barely leave her bedchambers, and refused to see her own father, knowing that her older brother Tsuto blamed him for their mother’s death. Instead, the only interaction the young girl had been with her sister and the servants. Indeed, their father seemed unfazed by the death of his wife, something Shiori began to resent about him. Shiori only began to forgive her father when Ameiko rebelled once again and went off to become an adventurer, leaving Shiori and their father alone with the servants.

The next year was a long one, or at least it seemed that way to Shiori. She was constantly worried about Ameiko, never getting to see her, as she now spent many of her days traveling with some Varisian boy she had met. Shiori scoffed with how easily it seemed that Ameiko developed feelings for him, though perhaps it was not obvious to Ameiko, but on the few times Ameiko returned home, he was all she could talk about. Shiori despised him for keeping her dear older sister away from her, and so when she learned of the Varisian boy’s death, protecting Ameiko, she really didn’t know how to feel other then happy that Ameiko was still alive.

When Ameiko came back and opened the Rusty Dragon, she asked Shiori to move in with her, knowing that Shiori didn’t want to live with their father any more then Ameiko herself did. Shiori accepted, but only on the condition that she could work as a waitress. However, with the death of Tsuto and their father in the last few years, Shiori has not had the chance to begin an adventuring life herself, having to help take care of her sister’s tavern and help her sister deal with the loss. Of course, Ameiko would probably be too scared to let Shiori adventure anyway.

Personality:
Shiori can be a bit of a bookworm, perhaps due to spending so much of her life indoors and out of view. She spends much of her time either thinking of new things to try on or reading. She is also a bit of a loner, tending to stay by herself, or spending time with her sister, this has on occasion made it difficult for her to be a waitress, especially when she first started. However, over time Shiori figured if she simply dressed as someone else, and tried acting like them, she was a bit of a better waitress.

Special Item:
偽者 "Nisemono" - Imposter or liar: Shiori has the Minkian word 偽者 tattooed on her left forearm, this tattoo is a Spell Tattoo of Disguise Self that recharges 2d4 days after activation. After Ameiko got a tattoo, Shiori wanted one for a long time, but she never knew what to get or where to get one. Eventually, she encountered a Varisian Tattooed Mage, who offered to give her a magical tattoo that would have as much function as appearance. She elected for a tattoo of Disguise Self, due to her skills at disguising, and her desire to play dress up as a young child, and she picked the word 偽者 to hint at the tattoo's abilities.
