A bit of a quick question.
I've got a possible encounter coming up where a nightwalker might be involved. Now, these big nasty undead guys have a 3d6+15 attack, greater vital strike and greater sunder.
Now..even with my question of "Can I greater vital strike on my sunder?"
A larger question I have is, does the effective toughness of a furious weapon increase when the barbarian is holding it as its plus increases?

To you first question, yes. You use a sunder during an attack action in place of a melee attack. Vital strike says "when you use an attack action." Since a sunder is an attack action vital strike can apply.
Second question, also yes. "For every +1 of a magic weapon’s enhancement bonus adds +2 to its hardness and +10 to its hit points."
Since a furious weapon increases the enhancement bonus it also increases the above during a rage. There isn't anything to suggest otherwise.

I thought so, I just wanted to double check.
Thanks!
