Closest thing I could find to what I'm trying to Portray
Orc Stain, by James Stokoe. Where I got the inspiration. Good book too!
"My yurt is adorned with the gronch skins of a thousand Orc tribe warlords!"

Firstly, I apologize for not furthering my creation, Scarlet. Though she should be worked up within the allotted time.
Second....you know when you come across an image that just screams 'Character concept' and know you just want to run around showing every one else....Only that nagging little, sensible voice in the back of your mind says it's a bad thing to do?
Well...I stumbled across This and felt I had to share. (^_^)
Very much cheers to all.

I thought about that as well, but I'm going to have a hard time tracking the special abilities of just the one group. I've thought about npc cameo encounters. If I can figure out how to run parallel stories I might give it a try. Right now it might be overwhelming, but if group two came in after I had this thing rolling, then maybe.
I really like all of the characters submitted, but a group of 5 would be easiest for me until I get going.

As a DM who does the two group thing, I would warn you that it is a pain in the ass. Especially if you're running the same content twice, gets boring rather quickly. I'd rather not get accepted, than get into a game where the DM is running two groups and gets burnt out quickly so they both end.
If five is what you're comfortable with, do five. Like you said you can always run another group later if you have extra time.

I am considering running a second group completely seperated from group one with a completely different goals and story line within the same campaign. Almost like two seperate campaigns that have some locations and NPC's in common.
Right now, I am just committed to running the first group.

Running a Persistent World with multiple Groups is amazing if you know how to spread out the Groups and how the two groups interact.
I do have seperate story line, but I don't feel I have the experience to run it yet. I have given up applying for any pbps to run this campaign. I want to focus on it for now. If I run the other, it would have to occur after this one was well-established.

I am currently running a persistent world game with two groups of six players on these very boards. I agree it can be super fun, but it's also caused me some headaches in the past. It's not in a dungeon though, it's a Kingmaker type game set in the Worldwound.
The biggest issue I've had so far was having to put one group on pause for a month because they ended up in the same location as the other group geographically, but were five days before them in the timeline due to varying posting rates between the two groups and certain in-game events. By the time I was able to get that group moving again I had to recruit three new players due to drop outs during the pause.
I stick by what I said, it can be fun, but only if the DM is certain they have all the time to devote to running and/or coordinating two groups and that neither will suffer for it.

Oof, yeah, that doesn't sound fun. Perhaps you could find a co-GM? A friend and I had to run a game like that before since there were so many people in the group. Kept in touch over Skype and tossed ideas back and forth. I suppose it gives that much less control over the storyline, though, and it looks like you're pretty attached to it, which is completely understandable.
Regardless of who gets picked and what you decide on doing, I'll probably follow the posts along, since the characters so far look fun to draw, and I make dumb little mildly out-of-character comics when I know what a party looks like. :)

It was a homebrew world of my friend's, and I added my own flavors of stuff with his permission, and we kept a log we could both access of what both groups were doing at any given time. The document also had plans for plot, statblocks for anything that may pop up soon, and such. The log may have been a simple .doc in Dropbox, but my memory's not the best, so I can't remember exactly what it was. Anyways, the downside for that would either take the time to brief someone on a ton of info, or let them essentially run their own game within boundaries set by the world's creator. Sort of a time-or-control trade-off, I guess.

I get that. Oh word from the wise: Beware of... Crap what is that monster... It seems perfect for this campaign but literally has a CR at least 5 Points under what it should be. I mean it is immune to Most Spells & those spells it isn't immune to typically have to by-pass its SR which is stupidly high then it is immune to Criticals & Sneak Attacks, it also has DR through the roof.

here is something i worked up. honestly, to be really what i imagined, it would need more than 15 RP, but here is the 15 RP version (open to suggestions):
7 half construct
10 plant
0 small size
-2 mixed weakness (+2 DEX, -2 CON, +2 INT, -4 CHA)
1 craftsman +2 racial craft/profession with metal/stone
1 toxic
-2 vulnerable to fire
-2 vulerable to electricity
2 treespeech
i feel like vulnerability to fire should be worse than -2 considering how common fire is. but oh well.

Half-constructs do not breathe, eat, or sleep, unless they want to gain some beneficial effect from one of these activities. This means that a half-construct can drink potions to benefit from their effects and can sleep in order to regain spells, but neither of these activities is required for the construct to survive or stay in good health.
Plants breathe and eat, but do not sleep, unless they want to gain some beneficial effect from this activity. This means that a plant creature can sleep in order to regain spells, but sleep is not required to survive or stay in good health.
