GM?
I have a question for leveling: I gain Electrical Resistance 5 at 3rd level for my archtype instead of Trackless Step that normal Druids gain. I can also 'gift' this resistance to others for a single hour at a time.
I already have electrical resistance 5 as a blue Kobold, so my question is, do they stack?
If they do, would I transfer all 10 pts or just the 5 the archtype gives me when I 'gift' it to someone else?
If they don't, could I get...say...sonic resistance 5 instead? Or the ability to 'gift' the 5 points to someone and not lose the 5 pts due to my natural resistance?
DM Dickie
The short answer is: no.
However...there are kobold around and the presumptive leader has invited you to freely return, possibly help rebuild. It would be a breeze to retrain the Dragon Scaled race trait to the nat armor or any other race trait that replaces armor. It isn't like your scales would actually change, lol.

OK, your call.
I like things the way they are well enough, so...I will simply make do.

So guys?
What exactly did we get as loot here? I realize I got the MW Staff here but what about the rest of the stuff? Did we take ANY of the gold, or just the dragon scales?
I'm not complaining...just wanted to get some clarification:
I think the cloak of teeth should go to one of the front-line fighters? That give them an extra close-in attack should they need it.
Other than that...
I wouldn't mind the left over fire-bead, but that's really Spitter talking, not me. Its pretty volatile in its current state so...
Leng the Wanderer
I am willing to bow to the consensus of the group. On the one hand Leng feels bad about leaving the kobold tribe with nothing, but on the other hand he is not really smart or educated enough to understand how their economic systems may work differently from humans, but he is wise enough to leave it to someone who knows better to make the decisions.

Hey guys! Thanks for having me back :) I'm very happy to play again with Shayn, just getting some last details sorted out.
The personal issues on my life are now mostly solved, and I'm slowly getting back to the PbPs. I noticed this one was still active, so I had to message Dickie to see if you guys still had a spot for the Pally to come back!
By the way, not sure if it interests anyone, but I'm helping with a recruitment for Skull & Shackles. It's taking applicants now, so please feel free (Dickie, you too!) to apply if you're up for some pirating on the Shackles.
Spitter Snagscale
May I suggest then...we take half the coinage? That way we leave the tribe with something, but we still get some loot to upgrade and buy some stuff. (I certain need it!) =)
Maellyra
Shayn! Welcome back! *hides animate dead scroll*
Lootwise, I believe we have the bead, the cloak of fangs, two scrolls of glitterdust, and a wand of web with a few charges in it. I specifically mentioned Maellyra not taking Churgri's cloak and potions, but that doesn't mean no one else could have. *hint hint*
Also, I'm good with taking half of the gold if the group is. I mean, we did do half the work of saving their tribe...
Spitter Snagscale
I can take Churgri's cloak and potions. Spitter's not hesitant to take anything from defeated enemies. What were the potions BTW?
I'm assuming the cloak is a cloak of protection +1 until I hear otherwise.
Somebody can take 10 or 20 the next day on a Spellcraft check to figure it out I'm sure.
Spitter Snagscale
Did we ever get a full count of the coinage we took? I know we are only taking half...but all I can find is:
"Spitter opens the chests with the keys. Everyone can see his eyes widen and glitter with a reflection from the first which contains a rather large pile of gold coins. The other holds six large green scales and an even larger black scale."
Also, unless someone complains, I'll take all the Dragon Scales we found.
Maellyra
Maellyra's planning on visiting Xemne after breakfast and getting some alchemical supplies. Going to use the downtime to do some crafting if that's okay, DM.
Also, unless someone complains, I'll take all the Dragon Scales we found.
I'd actually like a couple of those myself. ...For research purposes. Or maybe for selling if they have no other use.
Spitter Snagscale
Spitter's a kobold with dragon blood. He just wanted them because they come from dragons...although a suit of dragon scale armor would be cool for a druid too! We can split them. One for each of us?
=)

Hey guys! Sorry I’m a little slow this week. I have intense activities at work until Thursday so it’s affecting my posting capabilities. I’ll normalize soon! Thanks for the understanding ;)
DM Dickie
At this point you can gloss over any further shopping at Xemne's unless you specifically want to interact with her. The next time you go there to re-up on supplies you could simply mention spending some time talking with her without waiting for me to provide the dialogue. I think everyone gets who she is well enough. Obviously, if you want to talk to her, cool, I like her, just providing the option.
I'm going to guess Pavo is going to check the other armorer out at some point. Plenty of other shops as well, but you might want to avoid Chance Smithy without a disguise of some sort. I'm sure creative players can come up with other ways to get around the fact that Pavo (and by extension, his companions) is punch-on-sight for the man-mountain, lol.
I realized I didn't post some of the more relevant stats in town, so I'm adding a slightly redacted stat block to the Campaign Info page.
DM Dickie
Just a heads-up about AFTER Hunclay's: there is a lot of downtime before going into the end-game so it is a great time to do a lot of side stories. If anyone wants to explore a storyline in their character's background or anything along those lines, feel free to PM me so I can take time to get some stuff ready.
Spitter Snagscale
Mine was to show that pinks-skins and kobolds can work together basically, I think. My god sent me here...so I've helped do that to a certain extent. So I'm good for now? Just let me know if any 'negotiations' start going badly.
=)
Maellyra
Maellyra would like to tie up the infernal loose end that is Harzogopas, unless of course you have other plans for him. And then there's this allegedly haunted crypt that might be fun to poke around. That's all I can think of for now.
Shayn Veilsong
Hey team! Sorry about the lack of updates - Paizo’s outage unfortunately was combined with some issues here at work and I’m having to put out some fires. I should go back to normal posting next week. Please feel free to bot me!
Maellyra
Welp, that went about as well as I expected. With that one miraculous save I managed to roll, is Maellyra left with 9 Str damage or 11? I'm pretty sure the difference is purely academic anyway, but it could mean the difference between five days of total bed rest and only four!
DM Dickie
Off topic here, but I've got an itch for some AD&D. It happens from time to time to me, very tragic. So I want to run an open-ended 2nd edition old-school, but not full on hack 'n slash, game. I was hoping to do some Dark Sun, but can be talked into Spelljammer instead. Would rather avoid the basic fantasy settings and don't know I could do Ravenloft any justice. If anyone is interested, check in on my interest-check thread here.
Spitter Snagscale
I always loved Dark Sun and Spelljammer! However, I don't have my 2nd edition books anymore. My older brother took them. If I were to apply I'd need some major help in the end...
And I do prefer Pathfinder really. You wouldn't consider converting the game would you?
Leng the Wanderer
I'm in a (slow-moving, nearly dead) PF DS game, and the conversion that usually floats around is terrible. For instance, I'm playing a water cleric, but I can't actually create water at all. Not even the usual limited small quantities - none whatsoever.
The conversion that the DM is using is the PDF by Bodhizen.
DM Dickie
Yeah, I have yet to be happy with any conversions myself. I almost think Wizards should just license the property to a company willing to create it's own system.
Now, there is a site that has a ton of the rules for AD&D 2nd Edition. It is not a very user-friendly interface, but it includes the PHB, DMG, MM, a lot of the (non-campaign setting) handbooks, even the Options books (which I would not be using). I can setup a Google Drive folder to "loan" some of the more useful Dark Sun PDFs like the setting boxed set and the books for elves, traders, thri-kreen, gladiators, etc.
http://www.purpleworm.org/rules/
^Previously mentioned site with poor UI but all the rules.
Spitter Snagscale
I've always loved Dark Sun and Psionics. My favorite character was a Thri-Kreen fire Druid from years ago whose psionic talent was Mind-link.
I just can't stand 2nd edition anymore. Sorry.
Maybe you should try and create your own conversion for Pathfinder? I would help with that in a heartbeat.
