Male Elf Wizard 5 | AC 14, Touch 13, FF 11 | HP 37/37 | F +4, R +5, W +7 | Init +14 | Perc +4

Alright, I'll get that worked on later today.

Would it be acceptable to have scrolls crafted, as in making them myself for half price? Or would you want me to pay full price for them?

Also does anybody have any thoughts on what languages I should pick up? I've got quite a few open still.

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

Draconic?

=)

Anything is fine. Good ones are goblin, giant, sylvan, and the underground /creepy-creature lang...

Just don't go nuts with the discount scrolls, lol, which I doubt would be a huge issue anyway, there are plenty of other priorities.

Male Elf Wizard 5 | AC 14, Touch 13, FF 11 | HP 37/37 | F +4, R +5, W +7 | Init +14 | Perc +4

Alright gear is done, updated in profile. I've marked which ones I scribe myself (only a few). I spent far more of my wealth on other magical scrolls and items that I paid full price for. Including a scroll of fireball at caster level 6! Will I be able to activate it without it blowing up in my face? Guess we'll find out! :D

Male Elf Wizard 5 | AC 14, Touch 13, FF 11 | HP 37/37 | F +4, R +5, W +7 | Init +14 | Perc +4

Hey DM, know it's been a busy time for you but do you have an estimate of when we may be moving on? I may be a bit eager :)

Sorry, I was on track to update here yesterday along with a bunch of others and had an unexpected change. I may not have the map situated but I will at least post sometime today to set the stage and get going.

I apologize for plugging a thing, but, I want to plug a thing!

https://www.gameontabletop.com/crowdfunding-189.html

The folks at Clockwork are trying to raise the funds for first electronic and hardcopy printing of the new edition of the Dark Conspiracy RPG. Also the funds to pay their freelancers. I'm one the freelancers, lol, which is one of the many reasons why it is important to me.

If you're not familiar with it, Dark Conspiracy was originally published by GDW (Twilight 2000, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Traveller) and is a near-future dystopian horror game. Monsters are real, they have influence on the government and major corporations, and ordinary people find themselves having to step up and fight the dark.

I will be running some sort of demo in the near future as a PbP, but I don't know when exactly. Keep your eyes peeled if you're interested!

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

Sounds great! I never got to play Dark Conspiracy, but always wanted to try it! I'll pass the link along.

Just don't complain when my d20 Pathfinder book comes out and I advertise it here too!

=)

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Are they hiring an editor this time?

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

Hey, if anybody is looking for a new game, my Skulls and Shackles just lost it's arcane specialist.

If interested just PM my GM HERE..

I didn't even notice responses here before...Leng is who specifically hiring? Clockwork? I don't know but I can ask, how is your German?

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

I played Dark Conspiracy back when it first came out and the book was just RIDDLED with issues. :(

I'm not asking for me, I'm just asking if they are actually going to have editing this time.

I just lost three games due to DMs having to drop out (including one Skull & Shackles!), I could make something for that one - I've played with DBH before and a few of your other players too, it looks like.

Roflmao, yeah, GDW did not have great proofreaders. I don't even want to think of an engineer's head exploding when reading Fire, Fusion, and Steel for Traveller. I'm sure more than a few formula were screwed up.

So anyone want to open or check the door?

Male Elf Wizard 5 | AC 14, Touch 13, FF 11 | HP 37/37 | F +4, R +5, W +7 | Init +14 | Perc +4

As the resident backliner, Renliat will wait for the others :)

Spitter impatiently opens the door wide and walks in if nothing jumps out to bite him...

"Slow moving pink-skins...where's the treasure?

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

"Probably over in the Gameplay thread."

Male Elf Wizard 5 | AC 14, Touch 13, FF 11 | HP 37/37 | F +4, R +5, W +7 | Init +14 | Perc +4

GM you seemed to imply there isn't much more to discover here, is that correct?

Yes, I figured I'd give you guys some time to wrap up any wraps ups hen get you moving on.

Technically the deal with the Baroness only covered the house...so no worries Spitter, Hunclay did something smart like a dragon would and left valuables in a cave.

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

On another note...My book is out!

Check it out HERE.

=)

Nice! Congrats! Will put that on my list to check out further when I'm not doing too many things at once, lol.

My apologies for the lack of posting. Work has been overwhelming the last few weeks.

I am going to plan on getting you all to the caves ASAP, hopefully Monday or Tuesday. In the meantime, please level up!

A little meta knowledge to plan ahead some, after the caves have been dealt with you'll have some downtime ahead of you, at least two weeks, but I can stretch it longer. Once the final third or so of the module begins, things will move pretty quick and there is a clock to work against, so you won't really have a chance to retrain or craft or do much of anything else.

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

Shapeshifting! Here I come!
=)

From Recruitment: Leveling hps will be as PFS standard.

That's 1/2 normal HD +1. Right?
+6 hp + 1 from Favored Class

+1 Wis (Yeah!)

New Spells: Entangle(Finally!)/Summon Nature's Ally II (I don't get the natural ability to subsume a spell and cast this instead becasue I'm a tempest druid.)

+1 to most of my skills.

I can now see though ran and fog without penalties up to 10 feet.

Wildshape: Small and Medium animals only. (4 hours duration!)

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

Question?

"A bipedal green lizard with massive claws hops forward, chittering like a happy pet."

Was this a...Deinonychus?

HP 43/43 | AC 21, T 12, FF 19 | F 7, R 2, W 8 | Perception +10 Male Dwarf Warpriest of Gorum /5|

Pretty much. It means terrible claw. Have one as a companion for a Hunter PC, his name is Zippy. Also wear a collar or something so Wilfried knows which animal not to attack :)

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

I'm asking for wildshifting purposes. I have to be familiar with the animal to be one. We met one an animal companion to a kobold with a local kobold tribe.

Picked up invisibility and protection from arrows.

Hak was an allosaurus, actually. But close enough to me, either/or is fine.

Found it! Under the Animal Companions...details (for Beast Shape I) are:

Medium Sized, Speed 40, Low-light, Scent, Attack bite (1d8)+ 2 claws (1d6).

The Huge (Full Grown Allosaurus) version (Beast Shape III?):

Huge Sized, Speed 50, Low-light, Scent, Attack bite (2d6)+ 2 claws (1d8, Special Attacks: pounce, rake (2 talons 1d8).

Since the Huge sized version is very nice, I will go with the Allosaurus. That means (much)later I can take the full grown version once I have the capability to do ti.

So you guys will have some downtime ahead of you before a "dun-dun-DUUUUUN!" happens. Hunclay's recovered property will be placed up for auction (and sometime in the very near future I will post some information about what is for sale at the auction and how I will run it) sometime in the next couple of weeks. I can stretch time a little bit if anyone has any specific plans during downtime. A bunch of cash and time should give folks a shot at doing whatever.

If nothing else, retraining some extra hit points could be a good use of the downtime.

Days! I'll have a post in Discussion up in the next couple of DAYS about the auction. I don't know why I can't edit the post above to fix my error...but days, yeah.

Male Elf Wizard 5 | AC 14, Touch 13, FF 11 | HP 37/37 | F +4, R +5, W +7 | Init +14 | Perc +4

A significant chunk of Renliat's downtime will go to studying that book. Is there a library in town?

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

Just kidding about the permanency spell. I just think it would cool to play a medium sized kobold!

11,300 cp, 7,200 sp, 1,800 gp, and 60 pp, all in small cloth pouches of 100 coins each.

= This divides into 808gp. +2sp. +5cp. each.

The larger chest contains an exquisite darkwood case. On top of that is a mithril scroll tube, with a scroll inside, and four packets that contain a strange black dust. Inside the darkwood case are five books.

= The Darkwood Case, Scroll tube, and the scroll are different things. I say offer the tube to one spell caster (Wilfried?) and Renliat can take the scroll itself since he's the only one who can cast Permanency. Right? I wouldn't mind the Darkwood case if that's OK.

and four packets that contain a strange black dust.

= Need to identify this first. (Leng?)

Four of these are rare antique tomes on astronomy written in Ancient Osiriani. Worth 1000 go each

= We each take one to sell or keep as needed?

The fifth tome is a tattered volume called Secrets of the Dreaming Dark

= This looks important...

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

Spitter would like to shop around for some basic magic items?

Including the ancient tome worth 1000 gps, then spitter has just under 2,000 gps available right now.

I was hoping to find:

Pearl of Power (1st) level (1000gps)
Feather Token (tree) (400gp)

I would then spend some of the rest to help buy a wand of Cure Light Wounds we can share.

Male Elf Wizard 5 | AC 14, Touch 13, FF 11 | HP 37/37 | F +4, R +5, W +7 | Init +14 | Perc +4

I'm more than happy to chip in for a healing wand. I think we should all split the cost.

PoP: 1d100 ⇒ 41
QFTt: 1d100 ⇒ 8
CLW wand: 1d100 ⇒ 62

All three are available, in addition to various other things. In Delbin's and the temples (also a few other places).

HP 43/43 | AC 21, T 12, FF 19 | F 7, R 2, W 8 | Perception +10 Male Dwarf Warpriest of Gorum /5|

Wilfried already has one.

Just a heads up, I'm going to be a little extra slow the next few days. Still kicking, just distracted, lol.

Everyone more or less good to fast-forward a little bit? Lol, no one has said they have to have X time to do Y thing, so I will move to the next major section in the next day or two.

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

I'm good.
=)

Apologies, I've been very busy with work/life the last few weeks. I am here and have been reading along closely. I am ready to fast forward!

Still hiding in the bushes.

Male Elf Wizard 5 | AC 14, Touch 13, FF 11 | HP 37/37 | F +4, R +5, W +7 | Init +14 | Perc +4

Apologies for the silence, I've been absolutely hammered with IRL responsibilities lately.

What exactly is at the auction for us right now to bid on?

Male Kobold (Blue-Scaled) Tempest Druid 5 | HP 34/34| Speed 30ft | AC 20, touch 13, flat-footed 18, CMD 13 | Fort +5 : Ref +3 : Will +8 | Wild Empathy: +6 | Stealth +11; Perception +12 | Resist Elec 5, Acid 20 | Hero Points: 1/3 left| Active: Light Sensitive

Anything we found in the house that has value will be there. If you go back over our game history you can see some of it. There will probably be some more we didn't find or see ourselves. Mostly some scrolls or potions I think are the most valuable for us. There was the wand of Lightning Bolt we took from the Humunculous...or did we keep that? I don;t remember. Some valuable books (not the ones we found in the cave!) too... Lots of art. Exotic birds...

The GM can offer more specifics if he has time.

Sorry, I've been extra slow lately. Summer crazy and unexpected RL annoyances! Updating across all my games between today and tomorrow, plus an update to my Battletech interest thread.

Also, sorry but I'm basically copy/pasting the above to all my games until I get full updates in.

So the auction is for Hunclay's stuff, and a lot of it is rather mundane. Furniture and artwork, the rare birds, random things that characters might or might not find interesting. The auction is really intended for a live-table situation, but I think I have a solution for how to set it up, so expect something more meaty soon.

Okay, let's just deal with the mundane stuff, if anyone has an interest in any of the following items, just let me know and we will take the bidding to gameplay.

  • Exotic birds - the birds that Spitter calmed at the entrance.
  • Kitchen lot - Cookware.
  • Parlor lot - furniture and art.
  • Dining room lot - furniture, silverware, etc.
  • Library lot - furniture and art.
  • Stuffed grizzly bear - The bear that previously anchored the summon monster trap.
  • Bedroom lot - furniture and art.
  • Observatory lot - the massive telescope.
  • Basement storage lot - wine racks, some leftover rare wines, various miscellaneous household items.

Again, just the mundane stuff. Magical items, including multiple magical books come later.

  • 251 to 300 of 438 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | next > last >>
