I'm willing to give it a go, though my ability to post will continue to be spotty for the rest of the week.
Do we have any sense just what the 'no magic' rule covers? Boggards have innate abilities that the chief probably won't hesitate to use - does my Alter Self ability count as such? In fact, Felrin is still in troglodyte form, so perhaps that doesn't matter. But what about his Bane ability or judgment?
Sorry, sorry, I'm here. Turns out Norco is more potent than I though; been pretty out of it this week. :P I'll read the IC thread now and contribute; I'm sure the Beast would be happy to rend some froggy in two. I was silly by the way; forgot that, with the lost cast level from my level of Master Chymist, the barkskin is redundant. Next level it will be strong enough to actually give me a boost. Don't forget I have blur up as well. So long as it has been fewer than five minutes, it and shield should both still be up. Since DMD made a point that the boggards showed up immediately after the fight, that is not unreasonable to assume. (Would love to win initiative, too, because I think I've gotten to use my sneak attack all of about once so far in this campaign...)

Ok, posted as if I was buffing Doc. If Felrin fights the chief, Taty will buff him instead (on a claw).
OK, you do all know that Detect Magic is a basic cantrip, right?
To answer your question, the boggards showed up almost immediately, but you then spent some time chatting, although the 5 minutes is not - quite - up yet.

Had Tatienne seen the albino cast anything, she may have held off on the buff, but even then, probably not - he's going to go along with whatever as long as he gets what he wants. Plus he's a demon worshiper, so Taty figures he'd actually appreciate the deception.
She's worried about the chief and his cronies, though. If there was any inkling they could have figured it out, she wouldn't have taken the risk.
Despite her dismissiveness of the tribe, she actually has no desire to fight them all - she's just employing a bit of brinksmanship.
Sick. Try and post tomorrow. Sorry.
Ugh. Very nast 36 hour bug going around. Avoid. Ok, my post-fever brain has no idea what I was thinking, and my notes are in a certain amount of disarray, so I can't answer AU's & Tkaara's (very reasonable) questions. Let's gloss hastily over that and press on, shall we?
Ask and apparently ye shall receive. Hurray well-timed criticals. Sorry you are not feeling well; a bit under the weather myself today, but that's nothing new. Hope we're both tip top soon enough. Good night for now!
Yup, that is an ex-froggy. Will post more as and when.

DMD, is the staircase Tatienne points out in the cavernous opening, or is it in another place on the horn?
Sorry if it wasn't clear - the staircase you saw spirals up around the outside of the Horn. You can't see exactly where it begins, there's too much undergrowth. It's completely separate from the cavern, however.

Tkaara missed the stairs. The bloodbath was far more interesting.
Not sure how much blood was actually still in the body by the time you reached it - the Doctor made rather a meal of finishing his duel, I'm afraid.

It does not drain that fast. And I do not think that vampires usually drain a victim dry. Yeh, Tkaara has not learned all the social etiquette of being a vampire and tends to be a little messy still, but next level things will improve and she is supposed to have it figured out by level 9.

Hello.
A bit of an explanation for my lack of posting.
See, in a few months' time, I am getting... What is the colorful way of putting it? Ah, yes. Hitched. I am getting hitched. And although a few months should provide ample time for all the necessary preparations, it seems that such is not the case. See, both I and the ball-and-chain-to-be (I kid of course) are docs and our schedules are... well... let us go with erratic. Thus, with the holidays providing some much needed free time we set out to take care of things. Preferably all the things. Eh... Not possible. Still, quite a few of the things have been taken care of.
Still, happy occasion that it is and all? Bloody draining and at times annoying too. And the more demanding the PbP, the more difficult I find it to post something coherent.
Things do seem to calm down though, so I should start showing signs of... heh... improvement.
Anyway, just thought to keep you in the loop as it were.
Congrats! Best wishes, and I understand the demands it places on your time.
Thankfully, we're entering the next phase of this PbP where irregular posting becomes less of an issue. Go with the important stuff.

DMD - just to be clear, there's a gaping maw going into the Horn and two staircases going up it, right? I'm not entirely clear on the gaping maw and whether we've been told we should go inside the horn or climb it.
We'll likely end up doing both, but I don't recall if we were given instructions one way or the other.
Right. I'll have a map up once my desktop decides it's going to cooperate. In the meantime:
The ground level of the Horn (where you are now) has a cavern, which is where the boggards live. This is where you're being invited to.
You have also noticed there are two spiral staircases carved into the outside of the Horn. They are partially concealed by undergrowth, and you haven't seen where they start, although presumably you could find them with a little searching.
Basically, you have 3 options:
(1). Follow the yellow sick toad.
(b). Find and go up the clockwise staircase.
(iii). Find and go up the counter-clockwise staircase.
I'm going to assume that - for good manners or whatever - that you follow the boggards in, as invited, unless you tell me otherwise.

Fortunately Tkaara does not need to breath, so it is much easier walking through the living areas of less than hygienic creatures.
OK, the world (this cavern network, anyway) is your oyster - where do you want to go?

I somehow didn't get a notification that there was a new post in gameplay, so the first I knew of it was Etna's questions above. Worrying, to say the least.
There's no mechanical effect, it's just flavour text; if he were entangled or something, I'd have mentioned it in the spoiler.
Aside from the fact he's badly hurt and stuck 30 ft down a pit, he's fine.

Etna, I dig your dog.
EDIT: Kind of forgot to buy an adventurer's kit, so someone else will have to supply the rope to get Felrin out. I can supply the Templar to tie the rope around for a brace, though.

Erevan could use some healing I think (he is down 20 hit points). Anyone kind enough to oblige of do I just roll the wand myself? Not sure how we handle this.

I think I said in a post that I healed you, I think? (Now I'm not sure <.<)
Still, we've got a wand of Infernal Healing, not CLW: it's 10 HP per tap, no rolling involved.

I can't summon the Templar until tomorrow, but I can use reduce person (no limit on creature type with the occultist ability, though!). We could send Winston through, though I totally understand if Etna's not thrilled about that idea.
If someone has a summon, we could summon a small creature and send it through.
Does anyone have any tools? We could put the Templar, and maybe even the Boggards, on excavation duty.
Next level I'll be able to send something through the hole, but that's probably too late.

I'm hoping that the small opening reveals a handle or some such, that opens some larger passage, which is why I peered into it. From a meta standpoint, it seems unlikely that the AP author would assume the whole party can get tiny or go gaseous or incorporeal. But meta reasoning often falls apart in such circumstances, so who knows.
One possible approach, as I think on it a bit, would be for Felrin to use his alter self ability to become a small creature, and then Taty could use reduce person on him, so he'd be tiny! That could be fun, and wouldn't be a bad thing to keep in mind for future use as well. It would give him some nice bonuses to Stealth (I think it would put him at +25), Dex and AC, making him quite suitable for scouting.
Outsider(Devil, Evil, Native, Lawful) Sorcerer (Wishcrafter) 7
Setting it up for the situation to go either one way or the other: I'd prefer that no one has to get into there, so let's first see if there's something there/the wall is thin enough to kick down.
If we have to send someone, I'm slightly more inclined for Felrin to go in: as he said, he's much more prepared than Winston in case something is there.
