Hey. I'm alive. Kinda. Surgery was postponed until more labs can be run. Working two jobs. Relationship drama. And Monday I will be driving a UHaul up to Washington to help some of my oldest and dearest friends move away. So life is a bit less than fun lately, but just wanted to chime in and let you know that I am still dedicated to this game and will be back in posting as soon as I can. For now, the Doctor is being extra broody because he is concerned about how much more powerful the Beast has become, and because he is concerned by the Cardinal's plan. Happy gaming, all!

That really sucks. I hope things get better for you soon. :(
DM Darkness
Yow! *skulks off to tend wounds*
More seriously, guys/gals, work is giving me a kicking right now. I'm hoping to get some stuff out the way this weekend, so I'm going to put this on hold until Monday. From then on, my aim will be to get back up to my old frequency of at least one post a day.
Thanks for bearing with me. Apologies for the holdup.

I'm still on Saipan cleaning up a big mess, so my time has been limited as well. I'll be glad to have us going again, but for the moment it's actually helpful to have things going a bit slower.
Etna Agnes
No problem! These last week has been a little busy for me, too, but I'm ready as soon as you are. ^.^
Etna Agnes
Oh crap, I can't believe I remember it only now! I even said that in one of the last post of the other thread...
Where's Grumblejack? Did we leave him with Sakkarot? Now that they said we would have a wicked fortress of evil (TM) I would have liked to have him around. :(

Glad to see things are going again. :)
Things in my life have... not been going well. Hoping they turn around soon. Also, starting next week and throughout October, I will be working six days a week. Will try to pop in here as often as possible.
I know I've been absent a lot lately, but I want you guys to know that this will not be a permanent thing, and in no way indicates a waning interest in the game. I think about this game a lot in my spare time, actually. :)
Hope all is well, and happy gaming.

I have hit a bit of a writer's block, for lack of a better term. That and being in a transitional period in my RL (nothing too troublesome, but it is more or less work-related) and a bit of lack of enough sleep due to the cat waking us up really early in the morning lately and that pretty much explains my silence. Sorry about that. I will reread the IC thread to remind me of what is happening and I should be back within the next couple of days.
Etna Agnes
Sorry to hear that, AU. :(
And I'm here! It's just that aside from buying a decent dress to not look like a filthy, graceless peasant, I can't think of anything else for Etna to do here. :/
Mostly jumping up and down for joy at the thought that we'll get a fort to run in a bit: I always loved that in every RPG I played*. :P
Etna Agnes
@AU: Oh, I know that: after all, I spent the spare GPs that the cardinal gave us in random jewelry, and Etna isn't one to go around in prison rags. :P
It's just that it was a request of our dear Tiadora, so I wouldn't go against that: I really don't want to be dumped in holy water acid!
Beside, Etna may not care much about that, but appearances are important for someone that's not a peasant: she can't go around with fancy clothes from 3 months ago! They're already out of style! I just hope tight-fitting gowns aren't fashionable this season.
Felrin Vennax
I'm still around, and just returned home from my work travels. The end of my trip was pretty hectic, so I didn't have much time to post, and I was sort of waiting to see what others were doing before taking the obvious bait about visiting Drownington. But I do plan to take that bait.
I'll join in the chorus of well-wishing, AU. I do hope things turn around, it's tough when health issues are compounded by life rolling crits against you in other areas.
And Erevan - no fair blaming the cat! It's what they do.

Continuing from gameplay: I'm a-okay to lend some money to Tkaara for her to carry around her coffin.
Etna Agnes
Got it! Glad that you got better! :D
Etna Agnes
Writing right now!
Felrin Vennax
Is it still the 23rd or 24th of Kuthona? So we have a week or so before the Year's End Night party? Just trying to figure out if we should launch into scheming or wait until the party happens.
Etna Agnes
Like I said before, I have no problem giving Tkaara some money for the bag. I'd say we buy the smaller bag: we already have 5 others handy haversack to carry around spare stuff.
Felrin Vennax
Felrin would contribute to the bag of holding cost as well, in the interest of keeping Tkaara's coffin from giving them all away.

Etna Agnes
Nothing about Infernal interest rates- and make sure you read all the sub-clauses carefully...
Why would I do something like that to our little junkie? Speaking of which, Tkaara, could you sign here, here and here...

Tkaara pokes her finger to sign in blood . . . whoops, no blood, so much for that idea.
Ok, Tkaara will have purchased a Type II bag, since I think that is big enough. Let me know what the weight of the coffin+Tkaara is so that we know how much else it can carry. Tkaara is under 100 lbs at this point and is not longer using armor, so not a ton of weight being carried.
If everyone is able to contribute, it should be 425 gold borrowed from each of you.
Etna Agnes
100 GP each sounds fair to me: it seems most of us don't have anything to buy anyway.
Felrin Vennax
Posted agreeing to buy 2 scrolls and pay Thraam's 500 gp. I also updated the cash tracker to account for the Bag of Holding, the scrolls and the Thraam deal.
Etna Agnes
Our villains have escaped the most secure prison in the realm, gained the trust of an elusive organization, felled a mighty fortress, and slayed a number of Paladins.
But little do they know, they'll have to face their most powerful foe yet...

OK, it's 24th Kuthona - 25th by the time Felrin picks up the scrolls (Etna, you have the bag of holding already; it's legal so it's not something you need to buy from this guy).
That gives you 6 days until the Baron's party: shall I fast-forward to that, or is there something you'd like to do first - either here in town, or a quick expedition into the Caer to see it for yourselves?
Felrin Vennax
Oh, a quick expedition to the Caer sounds like just the thing! Unless we'd be expected to have the baron's blessing for such an outing - hate to get off on the wrong foot and all.
